Food was good but not great. Had a snooty waitress. Wine a bit on expensive side. Portions were generous for Tapas.
The service was quite good, with a very affable server (Roberto). The 2 main dishes were tasty but way too salty. We shared a salad with shrimp that was excellent (and not too salty, I'm happy to say).
This was my first time in Sante Fe as well as eating here. The food and service was superb. I will definitely make a trip back.
Great place. Good food and great service. Very helpful waiter (Jay).
Meeting for a girls weekend in Santa Fe, we ended up at La Boca and it was a major highlight! Our food was way beyond expectation.. the flavors so richly developed and layered. The food description by our wait staff and then presentation was spot on. We loved it. The setting was fun, with a musician and lots of locals around us. We chatted with our neighboring table, making the evening even more enjoyable. Am definitely hitting La Boca again when we are in town. Thank you for an incredible meal and ambiance.
This has been one of my favorite restaurants for the last couple of years, but unfortunately it wasn’t happening there right now. It was very hot and crowded. I wasn’t crazy about the food selection, although some of our tapas were tasty, it just fell way below my expectation. We ended up cancelling part of our order and leaving earlier than we had planned. It wS a relief to get out of there - bummer!!
Amazing quality, creativity of tapas-fingerling potatoes with garlic aeoli was off the charts, artichokes, flank stank with carmelized sauce, super impressive. Great Spanish wine list, pro waiters, but really close together tables was a bit annoying. Very loud, you can hear your neighbors very clearly.
Food wise, 9.5 on our scale.
The pulpo dish is the closest we have come to our experience in Spain and Portugal.
There are plenty of great restaurants in Santa Fe to choose from and La Boca is not one of them. The food is good, but the atmosphere is crowded and cold. The service was lousy. Not worth it.
We very much enjoyed our experience at La Boca. Pleasant staff, knowledgeable server. Tables are a bit close together and the noise level is a bit high, but it is a tiny space and they have made good use of it. We ordered a fairly broad cross section of their tapas, including olives, grilled artichokes, octopus, steak, and pork belly. All came well prepared with good presentation. Flavours were excellent. All in all a great dining experience.
We were a bit late for our reservation and the staff was very accommodating. Service was great, listen to the recommendation of your server! Delicious and very fun
Interesting and creative items, however the cheese options could be paired better. Disappointed that my paella didn’t come w mussels as shown in the picture.
Superb as always! Rich and complex flavors in every dish. Can’t wait to return.
Always outstanding and fun. Have been coming here for over 10 years. Please note though that even if u request to be seated in the original La Boca and not Taberna on open table that may not happen. Two times in a row I have been told that Open Table does not transmit the comments and to call for reservations instead.
We always seem to find something new to enjoy on the menu at La Boca. This restaurant is known for its Tapas and on this visit it did not disappoint. This time we had the special of peppers stuffed with sausage and octopus along with shrimp tacos. We returned to old favorites of warm olives with grilled bread topped with tomatoes and grilled baby artichokes with goat cheese. All dishes were very good and unusual. The room is small and tables are close together so don't expect to have intimate conversation. You are here for the food. Service is good and prompt. The wine list is fairly extensive but has gotten a little pricey. They do have a happy hour with reduced prices.
Wonderful in every way! The food, service and ambiance were A+ ! Highly recommend!
Food was good, our party was seated right next to the stage so it was a little loud. I would give them a better rating, but although we showed our waiter the discount code from our hotel and he acknowledged it, it did not get applied to our bill.
Beware when you make a reservation for La Boca on Open Table. It seems that because our reservation was made on OT, we were shuttled about a half a block to a secondary location in the "Taverna". It was explained to us by the brusque hostess that OT reservers need to specify to be in the main room. If not they are shuffled off into the back room.
On a positive note, the food was excellent! The crostini with mushrooms and sherry cream was out of this world. But space is at a premium with very small table packed in very tight.
Food was very good. We had shrimp, cheese, and a few other dishes. Potatoes were just ok. Service was good. There was a guitar player that was good.
What a great place to take your sweetheart. The food was fantastic and I was left wishing I had a bigger stomach. Such creative flair and depth with the perfect amount of tradition. It’s on our favorites list! The live music was a perfect romantic touch.
The paella was perfection.
Food & service were awesome. Tables were very close to each other eliminating privacy.
This was our first time in Santa Fe and first time at this restaurant. What a great find! Fantastic food and great service. We will be back!
An array of delicious tapas, good variety of wines, great ambience. A nice change from SW, if you need a break.
Excellent service and food...The manager / owner at the host table kept his eye on everything happening there...A crowded small place and very popular...Bartenter was GREAT ...justs stayed at the bar..
Food was high quality ,obviously well practiced ,great tasting tapas...Could go there several nights. A week !
Very authentic Spanish tapas !
First visit here and we all enjoyed the Paella and a few tapas plus we had a guitarist who had a great voice to entertain. A friend had recommended this restaurant and it was a great choice.
La Boca is one of the top two or three restaurants in Santa Fe. I have traveled extensively in Spain and worked for several months in Barcelona so I know tapas well. La Boca serves superb tapas in a delightful atmosphere, supported by an excellent wine list and staff. Don’t miss it.
Was a little disappointed to have made reservations and ended up getting crammed onto a communal table, then see other people get sat at 4 tops separated into 2 tops. The food is amazing but we were uncomfortable and didn’t have much room. Will still go back.
If you want to have a lecture about how to make a reservation then go here. The last 5 times we have been here we’ve been lectured by the front of the house how to make a reservation so “all” of us are happy. What happened to making the customer happy? You may be taken to the sister restaurant around the corner...the ambience is quite different and loud. Food at one time was wonderful. Not so on the last couple of visits.
Our waiter was so friendly! Gave us complimentary ice cream. Food was good, definitely would recommend this restaurant. Be sure to make reservations since it’s small. It fills up fast.
We ate at La Boca for our anniversary. The service was excellent as usual. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. We were seated at a corner table. The special, Spanish Queso, was excellent (especially because we are vegetarian). The deserts were delicious. My partner loved the Sangria.
We were visiting Santa Fe on vacation. We love to eat great food and La Boca did not disappoint. Very cozy feel, staff was exceptional.
We had a wonderful meal. Creative and fresh food and great service. It deserves all its accolades.
We’ve always liked la boca but Edit the new menu the food had gone up another notch, every dish was great and nacha Mendez the singer was wonderful
Alicia was the hostess and sat us at the bar, which we like. Ryan helped us with wine and menu. LOved everything. This should be the #1 rated restaurant in Santa Fe. It's so artsy with its food, and everything is plated beautifully, but tastes fantastic.
Always fantastic, a Santa Fe staple with consistent food and service
We went on a Friday evening and they had a musician playing and singing. It was crowded but with reservations we were seated shortly. We ordered a few tapas: the crispy pork belly bites, bacon wrapped dates, a cheese plate, and the paella. It was all delicious that I think we couldn’t go wrong with anything from the menu. The tables are close and we chatted with our “neighbors” making the evening more enjoyable.
Pablo, our server, was amazing and the act that night was perfect for our date night. Enjoyed this restaurant immensely.
We had a very pleasant evening with great food in a nice place.
Food was good. Service was OK. Just a little under-whelming.
