La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Spanish wines and Sherries. Chef Caruso's Modern Spanish Cuisine is inspired by the exuberance of Spanish cooking combined with fresh, local ingredients. La Boca has been called "the most influential restaurant in Santa Fe" by the Pasatiempo Magazine and the New York Times describes the menu as "modern re-inventions of classic Spanish cuisine" Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide guests to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Jerez in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez.

What an amazing experience! The food was wonderful! Recommend the tapas flat iron steak (medium rare) and short ribs. Great wine and service. A must!
Excellent service, knowledgeable and thoughtful server, beautiful food with great ingredients
My party of 4 had to wait 15 minutes for a table even though we had reservations. Service in general was extremely slow. We had to wave the waiter down three times to get service.
We were really looking forward to eating tapas. The food was mediocre, edible, but mediocre. For example, the Manchego cheese from Costco was tastier than what we were served. The paella, salty with little taste.
Frankly, I don't know how this place is written up in so many "top restaurants" in Santa Fe. Just because the names, tapas and pintxo, inspire grandeurs of San Sebastien, don't be fooled by mediocre fare. Go elsewhere.
As always, we had a tasty meal at La Boca. We are grateful that they provide outdoor seating in this COVID era. We brought pillows to put on the seats, which are too firm for our older bodies. We were seated promptly at 5 and watched the outdoor tables fill completely by 6:10. We ate grilled artichokes with goat cheese (alcachofas), chicharrones, tacos with shrimp and morcilla, and grilled eggplant with manchego. All very good, and these four small plates are plenty for two people. I tried a local pilsener and my spouse had a glass of Bobal, a nice Spanish red. For dessert, the incomparable gateau basque. We’ll be back on our next visit to Santa Fe.
While visiting Santa Fe had to try LaBoca after seeing all the good reviews, exceeded our expectations! Fabulous service (Cecilia was awesome) and food was outstanding. If we had more time here would go again. Can’t wait till we’re back again!
Excellent staff and good food made a nice evening for us. I highly recommend La Boca.
Paella grade D,sangria(white)Watery,no flavor
Delicious food and great service. On the high end of pricing but worth it!
Too slow. Server didn't know who ordered what
Outstanding food in a beautiful outdoor space. You cant do better for Covid safe fine dining.
Our server Mary was great! Very friendly, as was all the staff interaction we had. We would love to visit again. Great food as well. ❤️
Excellent spot for an evening glass of wine outdoors. Impeccable service, good food.
We sat outdoors due to Covid Delta and enjoyed every mouthful.
The flavors were so unique I ordered the Chef's cook book!
The food is always terrific at La Boca. I generally prefer to eat on the patio at La Boca/Taberna which is off the Main Street and a lovely atmosphere especially now during the pandemic. Chef Campbell-Caruso is inventive and the food is a delight. I especially love the Grilled Artichokes and the Grilled eggplant. Tacos de La Boca and the Mussels are also fantastic.
We always come to La Boca when we come to Santa Fe. This time we were relieved that they offer outdoor dining so we felt safe in spite of COVID. The outdoor space at the Taberna is comfortable (though we always bring cushions for the chairs) and tables are far enough apart for privacy and safety. We were introducing two friends to the place, one vegetarian, and we found a great selection. The sangria was good and I liked the sherry selection. We ate the grilled artichokes, vegetarian paella (one for two people shared nicely among four, and it was topped with more grilled artichokes), pinxto with red peppers and goat cheese, beet salad, burrata with cherry tomatoes, grilled eggplant with manchego and capers. The artichokes and grilled eggplant were favorites. And we finished with the incomparable gateau basque. Our server was attentive and accurate. We had such a good experience we have made reservations for one more visit before we leave.
Great food, good selection, service was impeccable.
Hostess is rude. Staff is dishonest, make sure you check the tapas the actually bring to the table.
Takes forever to get the food served.
Had better food at a better price point at El Farol
It was lovely! We really enjoyed La Boca. Our server Gino was excellent, and recommended a delicious menu for our dinner last night. I’d go back. Favorites from the menu: cava, gambas al ajillo, and pots de creme for dessert.
The service here is excellent. The food is outstanding! Made us feel like we were back in Spain. I was super excited to see special items like gazpacho and pintxos on the menu, wine from San Sebastián and padron peppers instead of shoshito like we usually find in the USA. Everything was authentic and delicious. We will be back!
This was our first time to try La Boca. We were pleasantly surprised. It's more of a tapas style restaurant. The food had a ton of flavor, which we enjoyed. I marked 4 stars instead of 5 because our sangrias were not very good. I got the white one and my husband got the red sangria. The red sangria was better, but not by much. We just thought since it was a tapas restaurant the sangrias would have been better. The food made up for it and I did enjoy their selection of wine. Gal was our server and she was exceptional. Even for an extremely busy evening, she was calm, cool, and collected and her service and recommendations were great! We will definitely be back.
Had a great time - food is, of course, terrific. Service very friendly and professional, and the entire experience was wonderful despite being in the middle of a pandemic.
It was my first time there and it was not my sort of vibe. The greeting upon telling the hostess I had made a reservation was to be told I should be more specific in choosing seating. The only option available for seating was standard on the app and the other options were not available. I wrote in a request for outside seating if available. The server I had was not as welcoming as I would have preferred. It was an okay experience.
I went to La Boca last week, sat at the bar, and had a great experience. This I went back with my wife, and our table was out on the street in a corner on a slant with our chairs and table on an angle. Someone didn’t come to bring us water or take our order for at least 25 minutes. Throughout the evening we were almost never taken care of by the waitstaff, cars were driving by and honking, lots of exhaust, and very noisy. The food wasn’t great this time as well. Was a bummer
I took them 30 minutes to get a server to us and he forgot our order twice. The food tasted good but some of the tapas weren’t hat when served.
Good food and service
I love La Boca from the Blood Orange Sangria to the fabulous bruschetta to the wonderful paella.
Wonderful food and service. It’s a must stop in Santa Fe!
A creative chef in the kitchen offers a wide variety of tapas that will appeal to vegetarians and ominivores alike. We had a little delay getting our seating sorted out, but eventually got the patio table we had reserved. Service attentive without nagging, ambiance pleasant, and food excellent.
A little pricey as each tapas is $15-20 and the portions small (as tapas are intended to be), so each diner should plan on 2-3 dishes per person. Our birthday celebration party of 4 had one bottle of modestly priced white wine and our bill with tip was $250.
Love love love this place! Service was impeccable. Our waiter, Darren, was knowledgeable, pleasant, attentive, and gave us great recommendations. Great wine list and the food was delicious. We shared four dishes….note to those like us who are not big eaters, it was more than enough. Highly recommend this charming gem!
Great tapas. Just like in Spain. They sat us outside on the street . Not pleasant especially when it started to rain.
It's my new favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. Everything was so perfect.
The staff was amazing! They accommodated our large group / combined reservations and were so gracious.
Food recommendations were spot on and food was authentic. Wonderful!
Excellent meal as always.
My husband and I started our Santa Fe vacation dining here and it was amazing! Food was fabulous and so was the ambiance - loved the guitarist! We will be back!
We enjoyed our table outside on the sidewalk. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent.
Outstanding staff and service would highly recommend
La Boca was excellent as always. When I booked the reservation, I thought we would be outdoors behind the restaurant, but instead we were seated at a table on the street where there was car exhaust and noise right next to us. That was disappointing, but otherwise it was a great experience.
Everything we had was amazing and our server was extremely knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend the eggplant!
Great tapas and wine spot. Each food item was unique and well executed
A very creative sppanish wine list that we tried several from
Service was well paced, friendly an attentive
