Chef’s creations were excellent. We usually order their paella which is outstanding but this time we shared the mushroom bruschetta, steak with blue cheese sauce and crab cannellone...and a red wine by the glass. Yum!
Food is good! Tapas so amounts are small as tapas are! Some are cold although the waiter warns you, it seems colder than just room temperature! May e because of COVID the service wasn’t as swift as I expected! But we had fun!
Ordinary...don’t quite understand why the squid ink pasta noodle were in short strands?
I reported it was a birthday celebration on the app and the waiter mentioned it as we sat down but that was it. It was early in the evening with few people but the staff acted rushed and nervous. We had two tapas. The crispy shrimp tacos were very good. The Jamon unremarkable. The filet was great according to my husband and the paella I had was just okay. The patio was an inner courtyard surrounded by buildings so the Santa Fe atmosphere was lacking. We were charged $5 for extra cleaning and a patio heater. That was a first for us. Overall, for a $200 tab, it was a 3 star dining experience and we won’t be returning although we don’t live too far from here. We should have dined on the New Mexican cuisine Santa Fe is famous for.
Fabulous place that never fails to please. We had a great waiter who made us cool sherry cocktails, food was wonderful. Restaurant was full (you definitely need reservations) but comfortable and did not feel crowded
The taps for sharing were wonderful. 2 people and we had 4 tapas plates.
So happy the hostess seated us in the courtyard outdoor seating instead of along the street. We had a great meal with very good wait staff.
Great experience. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and great food. Service was great. Would recommend.
Interesting tapas. Blood orange tart yummy. Service good. I was in a handicap scooter but had to go quite a ways to the downstairs section of the restaurant which was a bit difficult. Overall good meal.
This was an unexpectedly delightful surprise. Great experience.
Excellent! The variety of tapas and quality of the wine list were both excellent. The gambas ajillo and alcachofas were superb. The service was delightful in spite of how many people were there.
Lovely spot with excellent authentic Basque/Spanish menu. Beer selection wasn’t great and service was a little uneven but altogether a superb dining experience.
It was a lovely dinner, outstanding service. The food was good, the ambience wonderful, the service absolutely perfect. The sangria was fabulous.
Food was excellent. The new room was ok but could use a little more warmth a! Service was good !
Great food; genuinely great service; good wines' warm outside with heaters under the tent; just a little noisey.
A lovely tapas experience for our family of three. It was too chilly outside and we were graciously accommodated inside. Perfect amount of choices and food. A great evening.
My husband and I had a great meal at La Boca last night. Dylan, our server, was awesome - professional but laid back, attentive, and fun! All the staff wore masks.
We started with the very yummy blood orange sangria and shared a tabla (with loads of goodness including 3 different cheeses, 2 meats, olives and toasty bread). We also ordered the patatas bravas, which came with a creamy aioli and the chicharrones with a harissa sauce on the side. Both were yummy - the patatas weren't as "brava" as we expected until you get to the sauce on the bottom. With the chicharrones, we thought they tasted better without the harissa sauce. We finished off our meal with polvorones, yummy shortbread- type wedding cookies covered in powdered sugar.
Wonderful meal and service! Would definitely return next time we visit Santa Fe.
Absolutely loved it. Everything was delicious, and the service was impeccable!
The food was incredible. Hands down the best ribs I have ever had. Staff was really friendly. Can’t wait to return.
Great tapas. The artichokes are amazing. Good quality Jamon
Very nice visit to the cuisine of Spain! So happy to see this excellent chef and his crew rebounding from a very dark year.
Fantastic steak and seafood. Cesar salad prepared at the table to specification was also a nice touch. A bit pricey but excellent overall.
Best meal we had in Santa Fe! Service was outstanding and the back patio was intimate.
We were visiting Santa Fe and were super excited to try this restaurant. We booked a reservation for 7:45pm and arrived at the restaurant at 7:42pm. Immediately upon arrival, we were told it would be a “little” wait due to some tables just finishing up. This was fine, as we expected it would just be a short wait. However, we ended up waiting over 35 minutes for a reservation that was set at 7:45pm. It was clear by the number of people that also had reservations and were not seated on time that the restaurant was not prepared, in general. In addition to this, we received our bill and noticed a “$5 table charge.” We were unsure what this was and then noticed on the dinner menu, in the bottom and in smaller text that that restaurant was applying a $5 charge to all diners for the cleaning of tables after dining, due to COVID, no doubt. However, I was able to watch several tables be cleaned and nothing was done differently than you would expect from a restaurant during non-Covid times.
The customer service was wonderful. We arrived and were immediately acknowledged. We were then walked to the back patio and seated. Our waiter was very informative and gave us great recommendations! The food was delicious and worth the price. I had pintxos in San Sebastian, Spain , a region known for their pintxos and these did NOT disappoint.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner and the food was amazing.
We will return soon.
Delicious food, great service, and the extra effort to accommodate our request regarding seating makes La Boca our favorite Santa Fe restaurant.
Great food and ambiance! Would definitely return. The cauliflower 3 ways was amazing, as well as the paella, artichokes and shrimp dishes.
It was a busy Saturday night and not much else was open, so I can be a bit forgiving. We made a last-minute reservation, but still waited quite a while and were walked from one side of the restaurant around the block to the other side, just to wait longer and then be walked all the way back. I felt the price of the food was a bit high for how small the portions were, it was just okay. We had a nice time ultimately but probably wouldn’t go again.
Always good food at La Boca, service was a little slow.
Really enjoyed the Squid ink pasta with shrimp and morcilla, tacos and artichoke dishes. Blood orange sangria is a favorite or ours here.
Service was okay, food was good but totally overpriced. The entrees did not come synchronized and we had to wait pretty long. In general it was okay...
Terrific food and excellent service. This restaurant stayed open throughout most of quarantine, serving outside until it became impossible to do so. They closed and did some renovation, and have reopened with a refreshed feeling. We had one plate come out that wasn't quite up to par and they remedied it right away.
It's a must-go for me and my friends.
Thanks to the owner/chef and his team.
Food was very tasty, I have family from Catalunya (Mallorca specifically), and I've yet to find a restaurant that can present authentic Spanish tapas, this restaurant did an ok job.
Example, brushetta as an option in a Spanish restaurant?, I thought that was Italian? It was overdone, my expectation was Pan am ali con tomate; the Jamon Serrano was served with olives?, meh. Patatas bravas were great as was the mushroom dish.
Overall Boca missed the mark but the food was tasty.
Spanish wine list was good value. Each dish was excellent and we enjoy sharing.
Great food & service on a Full Moon dining experience outside!
Came from Rio Rancho (50 min away)...
Loved the food and drink-blood orange sangria was awesome!
Front door was left open so dress a little warmer or have a sweater with you if you tend to get cold!
Delicious food, wonderful service.
We drive to Santa Fe specifically to eat at La Boca. Never fails. Always incredible. Chef is so creative and the staff are always beyond kind and knowledgeable. Love you guys. Thanks so much.
