La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Mediterranean and South American wines. Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide customers to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Cadiz in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez.
Full to capacity almost every night since its opening, La Boca has been a hit with both locals and the world travelers that visit Santa Fe. La Boca has earned numerous awards both local and national, including the Santa Fe Reporter’s “Restaurant of the Year,” and the International Wine and Food Society’s “Award of Excellence.”

La Boca always wows us with its exceptional food, fabulous service and fun atmosphere. We love it!
The food was very delicious!
Ate on the patio on a pleasant June evening. Charles, our server, was perfect: attentive but not hovering. My husband had the tasting menu with wine pairings. It was superb. Not the fanciest place in Santa Fe, but certainly one of the best!
A delight. My husband and I would highly recommend. Order slowly as small plates can really fill you up!
Absolutely everything was fantastic but I must acknowledge the AMAZING SUPERB MUSHROOM BRUSCHETTA with egg. All the ingredients complemented each other and only enhanced the dish.
We had a delicious and memorable—and romantic—dinner on the patio. Imaginative dishes served beautifully (well, except maybe the chicharones) and a great selection of wines. Will definitely recommend (already have) and plan to go back soon.
The food is terrific- great quality and selection with very generous portion sizes.
The tapas were excellent and prepared with great detail and accoutrements. Fine, fine quality. However I would not have ordered the shrimp had I known they were in their shell. Regardless, a primo meal.
Great service, excellent food. Tables much too close to each other for comfort.
Great grilled artichokes. The carrot/garbanzo hummus is a deal.
Our meal could not have been better in any way. The service was excellent and the meal superb. We make it to Santa Fe once a year and La Boca is always on our list of things to do.
Best stuffed dates I’ve ever had! Great service and delightful musician was a bonus
We were lucky enough to get a table in the Taberna and the band was excellent! I felt like I was in a darling restaurant in Spain! Our server was excellent and gave us wonderful suggestions.
The tabla appetizer and the ahi tuna were amazing!
Kind of an odd location, outside chairs are less than comfortable but the food is top notch at fairly reasonable prices. Would recommend to anyone.
Unique and very satisfying
Great restaurant, fantastic service. We hadn't been back to La Boca in a couple of years, so it was nice to return to celebrate my wife's birthday. At first the hostess wanted to seat us at a back table but we asked for one in a nicer location of the restaurant and she was happy to oblige. Roberto, our server, was quick to show up and responsive throughout the meal, without being intrusive. For instance, when we finished our meal he asked us about dessert. We weren't finished with our wine and asked him to wait and check back later. As we finished the last sip of wine, he reappeared to ask if we now were ready. The only downside (no fault of the restaurant) was a large party behind us with a very fussy baby. Finally the mother took the baby outside for a bit and the party left soon after. As with most tapas restaurants, the final bill can be pricey, but for this special occasion it was well worth it!
La Boca has been a fav spot for years- still maintaining their unique dishes and wines- nice to have something different in Santa Fe. Has a quaint European feel, close to square. Great deal on 3 course price fix meal. many good choices though- something for everyone! Enjoy!
The food was fantastic. The bruschetta, bacon wrapped dates and the flat iron steak were particularly terrific. We will make a point of going back the next time we are in Sant Fe.
Sweet little bistro off the square on a side street in Santa Fe. We had a 7:30 reservation and when we walked in there were several open two-tops. I asked the hostess if we could have one toward the front of the house so we could be near the picture window looking out to the street. Without explanation, she declined our request. We had the hummus and sesame crackers (over cumined IMO), the pink Peruvian shrimp (excellent) and the hanger steak & garlic mashed potatoes (fantastic sauce). Service was well-intentioned and gracious but spotty. Our server seemed somewhat overwhelmed but was mercifully backed by a watchful busser and bartender.
We had the pots du creme and the gateau basque for dessert. Both were wonderful. We will be back.
Wonderful as always! Food and service is outstanding!!! Nacha performance was beautiful once again but the sound level is just WAY to loud - cannot hold a normal conversation without yelling! Not enjoyable- have to point to menu when trying to communicate to wait staff. Please lower the sound/music level. Spoke to several guests as they left and they all agreed. Much too loud. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
One plate I ordered for $24 (steak) as an entree after several rounds of tapas was very small (4 oz.) and even the server was surprised when I asked. It was super expensive for such a small dish. It tasted excellent though.
Before traveling to Santa Fe I researched restaurants, chose La Boca and made a reservation. Having owned restaurants I'm a foodie and the menu and photos looked interesting. But the experience was even better than expected. In fact this was one of the best meals we've had in ages. Superb. Plus the service was excellent which is hard to find. And the guitarist was wonderful. Overall a lovely, memorable evening. Don't miss this place!
La Boca is our first stop for dinner every time we visit Santa Fe. The experience is always fun. We like to leave the pairings up to our server - they’re very good at pairing our dinner with various types of sherries. Looking forward to our next visit.
We visited La Boca back in November of 2017 and it was fantastic. However, this trip - the food didn't seem to be as good. We sat down and were handed the menus and couldn't really find anything that stood out. The dessert menu wasn't any good either. Our waiter recommended a cherry tart and we barely ate it. He must have noticed cause he picked up the tab on that one. Not sure we'll be back next year. Disappointed!
I've always loved this restaurant. The variety fo the dishes and the ability to create a diverse dinner
for everyone is great. I also like to sit in the quiet area on Marcy - especially nice by the window. Only complaint in this dinner was the Bison ribs were dry and overcooked with hardly any meat. Everything else was great.
We had heard that La Boca was a wonderful Spanish restaurant in Santa Fe. Living here now for two years we had continually put off going for one reason or another. We truly messed up not going. From start to finish, we had an utterly great experience.
We chose the Chef's Tasting Menu with the wine pairing. There were several dishes that we would not have requested if given the choice. And that would have been yet another bad decision. Every one of the five courses had a magnificent mixture of flavors. Every wine was well paired with the food in each course.
Years ago, we went to Dallas specifically to eat at The Mansion at Turtle Creek to taste what Dean Fearing prepared. He was known, and still is, as the "Godfather of Southwestern Fusion." For us, eating at La Boca, we experienced another fusion of flavors: this time with an excellent Spanish theme throughout.
I'd tell any person living in or around Santa Fe or any visitor to our beautiful city that if you like, or think you like, Spanish food, you must go to La Boca!
Great inventive food.
Always great to return and have Maria take good care of us.
Food and service was outstanding
Just ok. Cheese board was skimpy. Friends were not happy with my choice.
Tuna was great
Fantastic meal - our server Lee was wonderful, he made good suggestions for both food and wine.
We are from Nashville, Tn & always try to make this our go to favorite when we're in town. La Boca never disappoints!
Good, food, Jesus music was great. I wish he did more Spanish music. But all the trendy folks request were of the nudneh variation. too bad. He was great.
Delicious food, excellent musician playing, excellent service. New area in back is much bigger, same great food.
Always a great experience, can never go wrong with the Bruschetta and the Gambas al ajillo!
Excellent tapas and very good prices at happy hour. Artichoke salad and mushroom bruschetta is the best
Delicious and great service. Not rushed... the European way! I can't stand restaurants that interrupt every other minute like they were part of your table. A little taste of Spain. Highly recommend.
The quality of the food and service are great. We love coming here. I was sorry to miss Nacha Mendez, who is a delightful addition to the dining experience.
Had a great experience as usual. The staff was awesome and the food is always amazing. Best place for tapas hands down.
