Sauted veal cutlet topped with prosciutto ham, mozzarella cheeses & zucchini in a madeira wine sauce
Stuffed with lobster meat in a creamy tomato basil sauce
An excellent local favorite.
One of our favorite places
Great service. Great food. Great value. What else can one say?
This is the most bulletproof place to get great home cooked Italian food. This is also a place where the staff takes COVID-19 precautions very seriously, which we appreciate, being of an age making us more vulnerable than younger people.
The moment you walk through the door, you forget you’re in a strip center setting. This looks like a standalone, old world, family Italian restaurant.
Don’t miss the crispy calamari; I think it’s the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. And also, for gods sake, you must have a cappuccino pie for dessert.
You may be greeted by the owner, Syd. He started waiting tables here, and now he owns the place. It’s the great American success story, and it’s based on the fact that he worked very hard to make this one of the best and most pleasurable dining experiences you will have in the metroplex. Tell Syd that Ruth Buzzi and Kent Perkins sent you!
The food and the service was excellent ! All in all, it was a great night- the owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly- YOU SHOULD GO HERE FOR DINNER SOON !
Love the service, food & the restaurant scene!!!
We continue to have great experiences here! Wine list is a little pricey
Had a good time good vibe nice place..
Good choice for authentic Italian food this restaurant is a Pleasant choice very unique.
We had a date night and ran into friends so we all sat together. The food was fabulous and our waiter was wonderful!
Service and food were fabulous.
loved this place! i saw great reviews and since it's been around since the 80's i decided to try it. my new favorite restaurant. planning another visit in a week'
Outstanding. Multiple entrees were delicious. On the Rocks filet was particularly good!
They have simply the best chicken parm I have ever had! I always want To get something else when I’m there, but don’t want to miss out on the chicken parm. Our family has been going here 20+ years and it’s been one of our favorites and has not ever disappointed. Hidden gem. Never crowded and the staff is fantastic.
We enjoy coming here, has always had a family feel, even when we first started coming here. Wished they had a large bar but hasn't stopped us from continuing to dine here!
Our waiter was so nice and attentive. Gave great recommendations. Our food was delicious. I had the steak “on the rock”. SO GOOD! I will definitely go back again and have already told several friends.
The calamari is the lightest, crispiest we have ever had. The salmon is spot on with the roasted veggies.
Greatness. Love this bistro.
Food was delicious. Wait staff and owner were very attentive. Will be going back soon!
This is charming family owned restaurant. The ambiance is upscale, but the prices are very reasonable ,and you can still show up in your shorts or jeans if you want and you will be treated just as well. They are just very warm and welcoming and happy for you to be there. Great for special occasions and everyday dining.
Food and service was amazing! We will be back!
Always a great place to eat. Their menu items are consistently wonderful and they have a staff that values its customers. Try it, you’ll love it
Nice old-school Italian restaurant with a cozy vibe.
Food is always excellent and the service is second to none. This is a family business and the owner is always there when we dine. He is always checking on tables and assisting the staff. Every dish we have tried has stood out in some way. Tonight my wife has the orange ruffie special and LOVED it. Great wine list too!
We love your food and service, but it is much to noisy especially with a large crowd and piano playing.
We visited on Valentine's weekend. The food and the waiter's service were excellent! They had also decorated with Valentine's balloons for a festive atmosphere. The live piano music was a lovely touch. 5 stars for all of that!
However, when we arrived (on time) for our reservation, the small lobby was packed with people waiting, all of whom also had reservations, many of us at the same time. The restaurant had clearly overbooked itself. We waited over 30 minutes for our table. Not a big deal, but the poor host was SO FRAZZLED and was running around the restaurant snapping at the employees to set up the tables faster, generally sending out a very stressed vibe, both in the lobby and in the dining room. His attitude, while a bit understandable given the circumstances, kind of ruined the ambience of the experience. If he had calmed down and acted in a more appropriate fashion, we really wouldn't have minded the wait time, and we would have enjoyed our romantic occasion much more.
As it was, we had a lovely meal. Just wish we hadn't had to try so hard to ignore the harsh vibe!
Valentine’s Day dinner
We love la no Audi
Overbooked on Valentine’s Day. I know Valentine’s Day is one of the hardest days of the year for a restaurant, but they very much overbooked and did not handle that well. Many people crowding the small entryway, waited over an hour for our reservation, host offered some people waiting drinks but not a word to us, pushed tables together for one group that arrived 30mins after us, so presumably a later reservation, same size party and they were sat because they offered the idea to push tables together? Odd. Multiple tables got up and left as they were finally seated but no one in sight to wait on them. Wish I could have tried the food here, great ratings but not well managed for Valentine’s, left very disappointed.
We were not served for over 30 minutes. We had four people and had to beg for our water. We then got two glass of water thereafter. Our server totally ignored us as he kept walking back and forth serving his other tables behind us. Had to ask another person to see if we could get service. Her response was “I don’t know”......
Went on Valentines day, the place was packed. They made us order from a special that was a 4 course meal for $70 per person. The food was good but the service was horrible! It took over an hour and a half to get our entree and we had to remind the waiter to go check on it. I ordered a well done steak but I got medium rare. I didnt return it in fear of having to wait another hour. After all was said and done it took us nearly 2 and half hours to be seated, eat, pay and leave. The meal and experience were definitely not worth $140. This place may be good any other day but that day they weren't prepared to serve the 4 course meals they made everyone order. Very disappointing.
V-day menu way overpriced per person - nothing mentioning a limited menu! Very disappointed!
We have been there twice and both times the service was poor at best. We noticed other servers providing excellent 5 star service but both times we have been there it seemed like we were an afterthought. The table next to us ordered the stone cooking and the ventilation was not adequate or not turned on as the smoke from cooking was distracting and overbearing. The food is amazing and we will be back. Hoping the service is better next time.
La Bistro is a hidden gem in plain sight. I have wanted to try it for years and on my birthday did.
Everything about it was wonderful; better ambiance than when we've paid much more money. The selection was an adventure and the food perfect.
The only negative is that I was so sated and relaxed that I forgot my leftovers on the table.
Can't wait to go back.
Have never been disappointed! Chicken Murphy is a favorite.
I have been a patron since 1986 and that should tell you everything you need to know about how good this jewel of a restaurant is. It is real Italian food and it is a real Italian restaurant. If you like great food, service and ambience then go to La Bistro. It really is that good!
We had a delicious dinner. Angel hair Pomodoro, Sea Bass, eggplant parmigiana & manicotti prior to an evening at the Artisan Central Theatre. Excellent service. Nice wine list.
Everything was great, but many a little loud on the piano although she played beautiful.
Have been to this restaurant many times and the quality is top notch! A great date place or for any occasion
One of the better places for Italian food in the Colleyville/Hurst area. The food and prices are hard to beat .
The owner always seems to be on hand and spends time with his customers to make certain they are having an enjoyable experience.
1. Their website did not state designated menu for New Years Eve. Charged too much for the food.
2. Food was cold and lobster ravioli was fishy tasting.
In general when we go there it's been good.
