La Bistro Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We always enjoy our evenings at La Bistro. The music, food & service can't be beat. It's great for a first date, special occasion or even just when you have a craving for Italian food. We recommend it to everyone & we always try to take family & friends there when they come in from out of town.
House salad dressing was a bit underwhelming. Service was less than enguaging, seems like regulars were well served....we were not really a concern. Not great sense of urgency. Long wait at the door, host was packaging Togo food. The entrees were very good, the piano just right and the ambiance was pleasant.
It felt like they were trying to seat as many people as possible and we were climbing over people to get to our table and get out. Quality went out the door, as a result. The wait staff was over-worked and barely a smile was seen on their faces. They had a tough time getting around tables to serve because they were so close to one another. Food wasn’t hot or even warm! Piano music was a nice touch and something they are known for. We may try again, but NOT during the holidays!
We had a very enjoyable dinner with family and friends at La Bistro. The menu options were very traditional “red-sauce joint” fare, but they were well prepared and very fresh.
The service was attentive and the wine list was limited, but well-priced with some good options.
Arrived at 6:30 and complete chaos. They were still getting ready for a party of 80. No hostess, stood at hostess desk for at least 5 min, finally a man came up while trying to talk to us and someone on the phone at same time. Told us to go to bar...What bar. Bar might be 5' long and 3 folks were having dinner at it. The staff was nice enough, but seemed overwhelmed. Seems to me you would have the area for party of 80 squared away before your dinner rush comes in. Food was good but we seemed very rushed and does seem like they give regulars first available tables.
Need to try it again, but was very stressed the whole time and that is not what a dinner at a little Italian restaurant should be like.
I use to go here all the time when I was younger. Recently visited for my wife's birthday. Place has been remodeled, but still same ole restaurant! I love it. I think it's great to see the owner when he comes around and checks on everybody to make sure they are having a good time. Great place.
Had not been to the La Bistro for some time and our visit the other night was long overdue.
We were very pleased with the "new" look of La Bistro. Has a New York city vibe and menu to match. The service is outstanding and the waitstaff work hard to make certain their customers are well taken care of.
This is just about as good Italian food as you can get this side of the Atlantic ocean.
Dark and quiet, the place has an atmosphere that one would expect in a slightly more expensive place.
Everything here is done with passion, including the decor and the food. You're going to love it.
