La Bistro Italian Restaurant
La Bistro Italian Restaurant, in Hurst, serves fine Italian cuisine with passion and knowhow in its elegant and inviting eatery. For a delicious start to your meal, enjoy the mushroom caps stuffed with escargot and the cheese topped garlic bread. Homemade pastas, such as the meaty baked lasagna, the fettuccine primavera with spring veggies in a creamy sauce and the linguini matriciana with bacon and onions, are some of diners’ favorite meals. La Bistro Italian Restaurant’s house specialties include the chicken La Bistro with mushrooms and shallots in a brandy dill sauce, the veal Jerusalem sautéed with artichoke hearts and garlic and the filet mignon madeira in a luscious wine and mushroom sauce. The homemade cannoli, filled with sweet ricotta cheese and topped with chocolate sauce, makes the ideal dessert.
Be sure to visit La Bistro Italian Restaurant on the weekends to hear the resident piano player.
Service was great. Main course were great and authentic Italian (reminded us of "The Hill" in St. Louis.)
House salad was disappointing.
Excellent experience again. Our server was top shelf!
After having lunch here with a friend I had my family take me there for my Birthday and it was exquisite! The food and service was excellent. I will definitely come back and bring friends with me!
Was are first time... excellent... service excellent....had the special ...sea bass excellent
It was quite expensive for Christmas Eve dinner. Not very much choices, and If wanted some other
It was in addition to the price of Christmas menu.
We dined for NYE with a large group of friends. Our table was ready when we arrived, the service was great, our food was excellent, and we were easily able to carry on conversation with our table of 12 while still enjoying the live piano player as the music was just the right volume.
the fixed menu was very limited they were rushing people through like you would a fast food chain Salmon very dry and Crab cake was all bread
New Years Eve, fixed price menu. For the price I would have expected the dinner price per person to include a dessert per person, not one dessert for two to share.
The additional price listed if you were to share a meal was an additional $55. Of course, that price would discourage anyone from sharing . The portion size of each dinner was very large so we all ended up bringing half each meal home.
We enjoy La Bistro, just wouldn’t go back for a “Special Occasion”
Upon arrival, the host could not find our reservation but seated us anyway. Our party of 4 felt rushed during our time there. When our reservation was made, they failed to inform us that there was a set New Years’s Eve menu. The food was mediocre at best with a price of $70 per person. We will not be returning.
Always a great experience!
We always have our family Christmas Eve dinner here... we are never disappointed with food or service.
Great meal, amazing service all was perfect
Went here for pre-Christmas get together. Ordered from the lunch menu. Portions were just right and quality outstanding. Can't say enough about the excellent service and congeniality of SAM.
Hope to return very soon.
Exceptional service and fabulous food. Great atmosphere.
Can’t wait to go back!!!
First time there, very impressed with the atmosphere made the total package awesome!
Great food, good service, reasonable prices though a little more noisey than we prefer.
Very good but seating is tight. My chair got bumped hard by staff and customers at least five times. Food was very good.
La Bistro has greatly improved with the new owner- and it was VERY good before!! Sal KNOWS what wine you want.. the food is always excellent! The service is always impeccable. Fine dining in the neighborhood!!
The food was all delicious, except for a salad that was mediocre (romaine was not usable at the time, however, because of a recall). The date cake dessert is worth a trip to the restaurant alone. The restaurant is a little darker than we would prefer.
My family gathered to celebrate my birthday. We have been dining at La Bistro for over 30 years and still enjoy it as our go to for special occasions.
Upscale family run restaurant in a local strip mall. Good selection, quality food, upscale presentation and service.
I had the Chilean Sea Bass on risotto - it was excellent. My bride had the Orange Roughy which also was very nice. Ambiance was great with a piano being played, and excellent service
Fantastic Italian cuisine. First time and will definitely return. Piano player was awesome. Great service too.
A great locally owned restaurant. Never a bad experience in the 30 years we've been going here. Classic Italian food. Personal service.
Great food, service and atmosphere! Big enough to accommodate my big family, huge plus!!
very good quality meal and excellent service, the lemon chello very good!
Sis and his Staff were excellent!
great food and the ambiance is excellent. let the piano player know your favorites, she will play them all.
My husband has the ribeye and shrimp “on the rocks” and stated numerous times it was the best steak he’s ever had.
The food was okay. I had veal scalipini it was tough. My friend had the shrimp pasta, shrimp was good, pasta and sauce not so much.
Participated in Restaurant Week. Fantastic food & service. Great neighborhood gem.
Our second visit to La Bistro in the last two (2) months and it was as memorable as the first. For this visit, we thoroughly enjoyed the Restaurant Week menu . Our dining experience was both memorable and first class. Our server (Paul) did a wonderful job of pointing out the different meal options and recommending some decadent wine to pair with our meal selections. I can promise that we will be back to visit Sid and Paul in the very near future.
The food was AMAZING!! We had the filet on the rocks, shrimp risotto & salmon. Nothing disappointed & the flavors were wonderful! Service was wonderful as well. Even the live piano playing added to the night without overpowering our conversation.
Food is good but there are better places for the price. Very dated restaurant with older customers. Owner was walking around and is nice in his own way but very gruff. I had the steak on the rocks. Really nothing special. My wife had shrimp risotto which was good. Overall, not great but a solid good in terms of food. Probably will not go back as there are many, many options for this price range with better food.
It was for a gentleman’s bday and they brought him out a piece of delicious date cake. Wonderful wines to choose from.
Food is amazing, the staff is very friendly. I love this place.
Great menu with so many options. Chicken Parm was very good. Very reasonably price. Nice local place with attention to detail. Piano player was a nice touch (but a bit loud). Haven’t been o a few years and enjoyed it thoroughly.
I have been enjoying La Bistro for years. Their food is quite good and their veal dishes are as good as anyplace I have been in my 29 years living in the DFW are. I can especially recommend their veal saltimbuco, Sinatra, or Marsala. Go there and enjoy!
My husband and I like La Bistro but unfortunately it is extremely noisy! So much so that the waitress could not hear us and we could not hear her! Also, the ambiance and decor has not changed in a at least 12 years since the last time we were there and it is a little cramped and quite dark. Fewer tables would perhaps help the noise. The main course was good but the salad was not! The lettuce tasted old and watery and there were only a couple of tomato halves with the lettuce and nothing else. My husband's osso bucco was delicious and well prepared but my Israeli veal was too cream heavy. For the money, it could be better! The waitress was very nice and even gave my husband and I some Frangelico at the end of our meal for free. The restaurant is in desperate need of change, some modernization and a menu revamp.
