La Bistro Italian Restaurant
La Bistro Italian Restaurant, in Hurst, serves fine Italian cuisine with passion and knowhow in its elegant and inviting eatery. For a delicious start to your meal, enjoy the mushroom caps stuffed with escargot and the cheese topped garlic bread. Homemade pastas, such as the meaty baked lasagna, the fettuccine primavera with spring veggies in a creamy sauce and the linguini matriciana with bacon and onions, are some of diners’ favorite meals. La Bistro Italian Restaurant’s house specialties include the chicken La Bistro with mushrooms and shallots in a brandy dill sauce, the veal Jerusalem sautéed with artichoke hearts and garlic and the filet mignon madeira in a luscious wine and mushroom sauce. The homemade cannoli, filled with sweet ricotta cheese and topped with chocolate sauce, makes the ideal dessert.
Be sure to visit La Bistro Italian Restaurant on the weekends to hear the resident piano player.
Wonderful meal. Impeccable service. The Sea Bass on Risotto was the best I've ever had. My 1 1/2 grandson loved the creme broule but then he probably thought it was just a tasty pudding.
The garlic bread and salad were excellent. My glass of Cab was very generous. The Jerusalem chicken was a little bland. I think it used to be better. The same can be said for the crab cake. It needed to have more flavor, but it was quite large and filled with lots of crab. We love the cozy, quiet atmosphere here and look forward to returning and trying more entrees.
Yes.. Only downside was there was smoke from meals cooked at the tables.
Very good food , nice quiet homey atmosphere !!!!! Love the old Sinatra music in the background !!!! Great place for date night & family occasions !!!!!!
Have been here several times with friends. The ambiance is great for carrying on a conversation. Service is attentive. The food is good basic Italian.
Excellent food and excellent service !!! The overall experience with our friends who were first timers was perfect. They really enjoyed themselves and they as well as we will be back !!!
Great family restaurant.
The food is good and its presentation but the waitress was not efficient and we had to ask her for same items several times.
Excellent food and service.
We was in Dallas for Eric Clapton Guitar Festival, coming back from the Stock Yard we stopped in, simply Amazing Find!
Highly Recommend this little spot to everyone, my wife and I wish it was back home!
Love La Bistro... tonights carrot soup was an amazing treat!
Last minute decision & it is so nice they are near the neighborhood! Great good &great service!
Awesome Italian food. Never had Veal Jerusalem before. LOVED it!
Really enjoyed this restaurant. So much so, we returned the following week. If you like a little spice to your dishes, Chicken Murphy is fantastic.
Get the OASIS cake!! I would not believe it was a sugar-free dessert if the waiter hadn't told me. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. And the fried ravioli is amazing as well! Great for a date night....dim light, dark colors, and a piano player. I look forward to my next meal there.
Our visit to LaBistro was outstanding. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and totally enjoyed the experience. The food was exceptional and the service was timely and very professional. The owner stopped by to check on everything and was very attentive. I would highly recommend this resturant and we will return !!!
Love this place. The owner is always around and very accommodating. Great food and service.
Very nice atmosphere took my wife for our anniversary very good food
I needed a place for a birthday celebration that was convenient for family in Ft. Worth and family in Lewisville, and was also fairly quiet so we could converse. I remembered La Bistro.
Overall the food was good. My seafood fettucine was quite good. The chicken marsala, veal marsala, and chicken piccata were all deemed excellent. Another person had a chicken dish with garlic and lemon sauce and had them add mushroom, said it was great. Teen daughter had tortellini and liked it. Hubby thought the lobster ravioli was just so-so. I can't remember what my SIL had.
We were celebrating three birthdays, although they only knew about one, so they brought out date cake, which was similar to banana bread. One sister and I loved it. Daughter was not a fan, so I brought hers home to have for breakfast.
Our table for eight (was supposed to be nine, but the last one could not make it), was a combination of a square 4 top and one of the square 4 tops that have the "wings" you can fold up to make it a bigger round table. That made it a little awkward, especially as the wings were kind of slanting down.
The piano player came around and asked for requests. It wasn't too loud where we were.
Overall, it was a little louder than I would have liked for good conversation, but it is hard with a group of 8 to talk in a restaurant anyway.
Waitstaff and owner/manager were all quite nice.
Went Friday night & very busy. Seemed to be short staffed. My dinner was not hot so had to send it back. My husband's salmon had too many capers & needed more spinach with it. Soups were delicious. Pianist is very good & visits each table for song requests. Usually very good food & service though.
Asked our waitstaff for recommendations and all suggestions were perfect. Food was hot, service was great and can't wait to go back during the piano entertainment. Highly recommend for family or friend gathering
Great atmosphere. Wonderful host and servers. Best Italian food in the area.
Hidden gem. Wonderful food and fun place to go. Owner comes around and checks on you.
Classic Italian restaurant. Old world charm with great food and authentic waitstaff. The food is, without question, some of the best Italian food even compared to food we ate in Tuscany.
The food & service was excellent, however we were disappointed that lunch cost us $25 PP. We thought all restaurants participating in Restaurant Week for lunch were to charge $20 PP.
Excellent service. Food really good.
Great food, great music, great service.
Syd and his team are always spot on. Great food!?
Excellent food, nice friendly service! A nice night out place.
We have been there several times and it’s always a good place to eat.
This will be my new go-to Italian restaurant. The service was wonderful and so was the food! There was a little too much dressing on my Caesar salad (I don't like a lot of dressing and forgot to order it on the side), but the servers were very attentive and the flavors were wonderful in all of our dishes. For the high quality of food, I would have expected a much higher final bill, but the prices are affordable for excellent food and service. Our family will definitely be back!
Excellent Italian. Reminds me of the family run Italian restaurants in New Jersey. This was our 2nd visit and we'll be back. Gnocchi soup, red snapper on rissoto, and lasagna; all were excellent. Very personal service. Friday nights they have a pianist.
Great ambiance. Piano player, artist drawing, great service. Food was overpriced and nothing super special but good experience for something different.
I have been going to le bistro for over 10 years I really look forward to going because I hadn’t been there in several years ! I especially love the lobster bisque soup! HoweverMy most recent visit was a real letdown! The soup tasted like they had opened a can of tomato soup and added two or three pieces of slightly cooked lobster..The chicken piccata was two preformed previously frozen chicken breast with absolutely no taste nor seasoning! Unfortunately as so many of my old favorite restaurants in the area the food has just deteriorated! What a pity!
Wonderful as always! One of our favorite places to go with friends and family💕
Our family loves La Bistro. It’s great any time, and it’s our go-to for special occasions. Service is good, food is delicious, and they have a piano player. What more could you want?
Great place for both a romantic evening or a large family gathering. Great Italian and amazing seafood! Full bar and good wine selection!
Excellent in all regards. Service and food were superb.
It's been years since we had dinner here at La Bistro and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Both meals (off the menu) were well prepared and really good. The owner came around to check on things as well. Service was prompt and attentive.
Very enjoyable dinner out.
