La Bistro Italian Restaurant

For a delicious start to your meal, enjoy the mushroom caps stuffed with escargot and the cheese topped garlic bread. Be sure to visit La Bistro Italian Restaurant on the weekends to hear the resident piano player.
Great authentic Italian Food. Great atmosphere with nice music
The ambiance was romantic. The service was great. The food was delicious.
Great food and service
Great food,service and value
This is a very nice Italian restaurant with a fairly extensive menu. My husband enjoyed the Sea Bass special entree, while I opted for the Filet "on the rocks" (interesting and entertaining super hot lava stone to cook for yourself at the table). The steak was cooked perfectly since I had control and tasted delicious! We'll will definitely return to try some of the more traditional Italian fare and get another slice of the scrumptious Cappuccino Pie (Henry's).
We go to La Bistro to celebrate family birthdays. We love the food, atmosphere, and service. We are never disappointed. Wonderful.
This was our first time dining here and we absolutely loved it! Our waiter was attentive, polite and recommended some options that were amazing! During dinner there was a live piano player, which added to the cozy ambiance. The decor and menu make this place one of a kind. I had the filet and shrimp served on the rocks, which is a piece of really hot lava stone that cooks right in front of you, and it was delicious! I would recommend this place and wish it was closer to my house because I live in Colorado. The owner is friendly and ensures everyone is happy. Please check this place out!
The veal Sinatra and the date cake for dessert are worth going back for!
The waitress interrupted us every time she came to the table, forgot we wanted separate checks. Crowded and noisy. Will not go back on a Friday night.
Fantastic service and food. Wonderful ambiance. Found this gem during 2018 Restaurant Week and couldn't wait to go back. Awesome way to celebrate Valentine's Day!
Cozy, sophisticated, but not over the top, very personable and you just can’t beat listening to the piano being played while your drinking a glass of wine as you wait to be served a delicious entree. The night ends with your waiter holding the door open for you and saying goodnight. Awesome experience.
Had a great experience dining with family. Food was wonderful.
We had a wonderful post Valentines dinner at La Bistro. This is our favorite "go to" restaurant for special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). The staff is great and the food fabulous!
This review is going to sound weird. Basically I’ve been going to LaBistro most of my life and i adore the owners and the food is delicious. I know on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, most high end restaurants create a set menu to help aid the kitchen and wait times for food. But To charge people $69 a person for extra food we didn’t even want us ridiculous. I understand the marketing behind it. But in front of the whole restaurant my boyfriend and I had to leave and get up because we couldn’t afford a $200 dinner. We chose this place because as much as it’s classy, it’s not horribly expensive. I would’ve liked to have been informed online when i made my reservation. I was so embarrassed and disappointed that we ended up having to go to Whata Burger because at that time we wouldn’t have gotten in anywhere else on valentine’s day. This is necessarily anybody’s fault but if you’re going to charge a ridiculous amount for food and courses we didn’t even want other than 2 entrees, then please, Inform those who made reservations expecting the basic or modified menu. Thank you. I will be coming back per usual. I love this place but I was extremely embarsssed and upset because it ruined my dinner plans.
We went for Valentines Day and it was wonderful. This has become our “special day” go to place. The staff is always very freindly and the food is to die for. For the HEB there is not a better place to enjoy a romantic night out with your special person.
We went on Valentine’s Day. We knew it would be busy, however, it seems that THEY didn’t realize they would be busy. This was our first time visiting and we ordered off their pre-set menu. I got the surf and turf (for an extra $40 on top of the $70/plate price) and my husband got the ribeye (also an additional $30) our food was completely cold when it got out to us, his steak was nothing but fat and my steak was well over cooked. I had to send it back. They forgot my mashed potatoes. I had to ask and request them. Our waiter completely forgot to put in my husbands drink order for the bar, but brought me mine, which we ordered at the exact same time. My lobster tail tasted like it was frozen and thawed right before they served it. Our bill was $300 and not one single piece of food on our plates was worth $10. We understand it’s busy, but the kitchen seemed unprepared for the occasion and the waiter was very absent minded. We also witnessed a waitress scolding another server right in front of us and it was very awkward. We will not be visiting this establishment again.
Worst experience. Food was mediocre at best. Service was the absolute worst. We were rushed the entire time. People trying to take away our plates before we were even finished. $200 later from Valentine’s Day price gouging. Never returning
The food is amazing, the service is fast and friendly. The food selection is sure to make everyone happy. I will be going back on a regular basis.
Food is amazing, service is great.
The food and service were wonderful. Our experience was only marred by an ongoing dispute at another table near us. We were celebrating my Dad's birthday, but could barely concentrate on him since a man was raising his voice so loudly, in anger, the two women at his table were crying. Management should have spoken to the loud man and stopped the inappropriate behavior after 15 minutes, at least.
We enjoyed the evening very much. my only issue was we felt rushed by the waiter. we also were not asked about salads and dessert. therefore the salads were a surprise and some of us would have rather not had dressing on them. it was a birthday celebration and we were brought a dessert for the birthday boy however were not asked if anyone else wanted dessert
My Grandmother came from Italy so I know what real Italian is supposed to taste like and THIS was the real deal! Also the owner came by to say hello and I thought that was awesome
Excellent food, friendly staff. Love the live music!
Fantastic. We will be back. Live piano n great food. They're are about 10 other entrees I want to try
Service was great. Main course were great and authentic Italian (reminded us of "The Hill" in St. Louis.)
House salad was disappointing.
This is such a unique dining spot. A real hidden gem. I had been with my family years ago and we recently revisited as we don’t live near and it isn’t really convenient for us. Everything detail of your dining experience from start to finish is superb. We will be visiting ore often. Highly recommended.
Awesome this is the best Italian in Dfw by far. Been going here 24 years
Excellent experience again. Our server was top shelf!
After having lunch here with a friend I had my family take me there for my Birthday and it was exquisite! The food and service was excellent. I will definitely come back and bring friends with me!
Great food. Neighborhood feel.
Was are first time... excellent... service excellent....had the special ...sea bass excellent
It was quite expensive for Christmas Eve dinner. Not very much choices, and If wanted some other
It was in addition to the price of Christmas menu.
We dined for NYE with a large group of friends. Our table was ready when we arrived, the service was great, our food was excellent, and we were easily able to carry on conversation with our table of 12 while still enjoying the live piano player as the music was just the right volume.
the fixed menu was very limited they were rushing people through like you would a fast food chain Salmon very dry and Crab cake was all bread
New Years Eve, fixed price menu. For the price I would have expected the dinner price per person to include a dessert per person, not one dessert for two to share.
The additional price listed if you were to share a meal was an additional $55. Of course, that price would discourage anyone from sharing . The portion size of each dinner was very large so we all ended up bringing half each meal home.
We enjoy La Bistro, just wouldn’t go back for a “Special Occasion”
Upon arrival, the host could not find our reservation but seated us anyway. Our party of 4 felt rushed during our time there. When our reservation was made, they failed to inform us that there was a set New Years’s Eve menu. The food was mediocre at best with a price of $70 per person. We will not be returning.
Always a great experience!
We always have our family Christmas Eve dinner here... we are never disappointed with food or service.
Great meal, amazing service all was perfect
Went here for pre-Christmas get together. Ordered from the lunch menu. Portions were just right and quality outstanding. Can't say enough about the excellent service and congeniality of SAM.
Hope to return very soon.
