La Belle Helene

Service started our slow but our server picked it up. The food was delicious. I had the sole and my husband had the salmon. We will do back.
Excellent service. The food was phenomenal from start to finish.
We recently celebrated our twin daughters birthday at lunch. The service was excellent and the food delicious! Can’t wait to return!
Delicious food and attentive service. Highly recommend.
La Belle Helene is always a solid restaurant - food is always good, service exceptional and the ambience is perfect!
Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food. A nice option on the Charlotte dining scene. Enclave booths, which need to be reserved, is a more intimate dining area. Would be perfect for celebration event for a group of four or less.
Expect to have a dining experience. So welcoming
We loved it! The olives were amazing, so citrus-y! Our charcuterie board was divine, especially loved the duck. Would have been great if there was a visual aid for the selections, but our server was fantastic and she navigated us through. The onion soup was great, though sweeter than we were expecting. The smoked trout salad was a hidden gem. We will order that again for sure. Scallops were heavenly with the capers and sun-dried tomatoes. We did not have room for dessert, but again Carissa our server came through for us and recommended the Floating Meringue. It was the perfect finish. Hubby and I shared everything so we could enjoy all the courses. Everything was perfectly spaced out. Overall this was a great dining experience! Can't wait to visit again!
great service, wonderful food!
We had a great evening, and enjoyed everything about this place--great food, service, and atmosphere, and not nearly as loud as many other restaurants thanks to the very high ceiling. We enjoy a good conversation over an excellent meal, and had both. The place is also gorgeous, and it feels like an elegant night out. Prices in line with what they should be. If you love French food and bistro dining, you'll be happy you went.
Kacey was fantastic and curated a wonderful experience for family and friends. Very memorable.
Great Restaurant, only negative was portions were small and everything was al a carte
LOVE this restaurant, first rate the whole way.
Returned for brunch a few days later.
Great experience! Really enjoyed the scallops entree. Did not care for the creme brûlée but the waitress rectified the matter. The customer service was excellent and I loved the quiet atmosphere. I plan on coming back and I would highly recommend it to others.
We order a good amount of food and the table is too small.
We had great service and an excellent meal! Would definitely go back!
The mini cheese pastries they give you at the beginning are to die for! Filet and farotto are also a must order.
Bruce our waiter was phenomenal. Not only was he entertaining, but his service was impeccable.
First time diner. I will be back. Have passed this restaurant many times and finally booked dinner. Exceptional service thanks to our waiter Bruce. Had the burger which was great and a Brussels Sprout appetizer which was sensational. My husband had the pork chop which was one if the best he had ever had. Great attention from the manger Tim. And the Gm stopped by to check on us. Top notch all the way.
This is a beautiful restaurant, the service was fine if a little abrupt. Our waiter was attentive, but I wouldn't say friendly. I was hoping for some really good food, but it was just.... Fine. Not bad, but not stellar. Escargot was good, nice garlicky tasty and plenty of butter to soak up. I had the dover sole, which seemed dry, but the bearnease sauce was lovely. My friend had the other fish special, I can't remember what it was. Hers was much more moist than the sole. The creme brulee for dessert was OK, was a bit bland and didn't have that good vanilla flavor I was looking for. Usually creme brulee comes with some fruit garnish, this plate was bare. I wouldn't go back again, except to try the oysters...
The le belle helene salad is awesome. I added goat cheese and olives and that added a nice touch to the salad.
a little bit overpriced for what you get. Food is good, pretty standard though, but ok for a dinner without any major expectations.
We eat here about once a month and always have a great experience. Never had anything we didn't enjoy.
This was my third visit to La Belle Helene, and I wasn't disappointed. The food, ambience, and service have been excellent on all three trips. Such a treat!
Outstanding all the way around. I was traveling on business. Sat at the bar. Exquisite food. Service was outstanding and I enjoyed the bartender and her humor.
Prior to dinner we had a drink at the bar. I asked the bartender to make me a sweet Manhattan up they way he most liked. I was served a top flight rye Manhattan. He made a perfect Kir Royale for my wife. We had a terrific waiter which made the dining experience wonderful. Go.
My family and I went to La Belle Helene for a celebration dinner. WOW! Loved the food, service and atmosphere. Will be back!
This is a very beautiful restaurant but as a patron you don’t want to walk in and see a 93.5 rating when Chick-Fil-A in consistently 96 or above. Service was good, but the food was overpriced and bland at best. My wife had the scallops, which were still undercooked after we explicitly told the server she wanted them well done. I had the Turbo, which was fairly pricey for a simple white fish. I think there are better choices in uptown Charlotte for a meal over $100 without drinks.
One caveat, the desserts were very good. Try the mousse/soufflé.
My wife and I had a fantastic first experience at La Belle Helene. Foi and escargot to start, both of which were delicious. Two starters was likely a bit excessive, but we couldn't choose! For our entrees, my wife had a very tasty duck breast and I had a perfectly mid-rare filet. Great wine throughout along with exceptional service from Bruce. Looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent service, food and ambiance! We had a great time
La Belle is one of my favorite uptown restaurants. The atmosphere is fun and lively. The service is very good and food is delicious. I had the Dover Sole this time and would order again.
Lighting was too bright. The space has a lot to offer but needs to be softer lit at night.
It was our first time at La Belle Helene and it was very good.
Always a good dining experience. I appreciate the consistency. Jeff, my fav, is a knowledgeable and attentive server. Will definitely be back!
The food was delicious, the service was terrific, and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Terrible, terrible food poising.
Really good French Restaurant! Nice ambiance and great French Bistro experience. Really enjoyed the Onion soup!
We have been to this restaurant a couple of times since they opened. Every time we go, we have excellent service. The food has been very good. We’ve tried the escargots, hanger steak, poultry roti, tuna tartare. Everything is excellent! We especially love the wine recommendations. Can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely great night celebrating my wife’s birthday! The service was top notch, and food was amazing! Best place I Charlotte hands down!
A fine experience. The food was good. The space itself is gorgeous and the private room we shared was wonderful. The staff was just fine, not very engaged, or overly warm but attentive.
