Outstanding seafood - oysters, scallop crudo and prawns.

The menu is very much like what they used to have at Spanish Diner - classic Spanish tapas and small dishes with enhancements to make them more appealing to an American audience. For example, the salmorejo is served with chunks of tomatoes and hard-boiled eggs. The pan con tomate is heavy on the tomatoes. The tripe stew was delicious with the tripe melting in your mouth. All delicious, but decidedly different from anything we had in Spain. Oh, they do have the pearlized olives from El Bulli.

Ambiance is fun, exactly what’s promised in its name “Mercado”. Much different from the ambiance in all the other restaurants in Hudson Yards, namely “very posh”, which is why we chose it … we’ve been to many of the other restaurants, and enjoyed them, but posh all the time is tiresome.

Hi George! Great Name! Thank you so much for your kind words. We love getting positive feedback and will certainly share your sentiments with the rest of our team! Anytime "Posh" is connected with our fun spot, we love it and are inspired. Thank you again. Best, Steven

All of the tapas were excellent--even the liquid olives which I'd never tried before. Our Colombian waiter was wonderfully helpful, incredibly pleasant.

Fantastic food except the Cod Gazpacho was a little too salty, our server Maria was great and made up for the overall experience.

Food was excellent but I felt like we were in a cafeteria. Incredibly opposite of what you would expect in Spain. The kiosks are expensive and what is available is not what we expected. Why not a true store where you can buy jamon ny the pound?

Our server was great. The food is pricey for the sizes. I know it’s tapas but it’s still overpriced. Some food took over an hour to be served and the chicken paella was embarrassing. Please don’t order it. I recommend you make reservations.
