Great menu choices. Portions a bit small bit had room for post meal snack (appetizer).
Excellent service and outstanding food
Terrific service. Quick, courteous, professional. Loved all our dishes. Thanks.
It was loud but the service was fantastic!
Great food exceptional value. Great to have a good times square option.
Great food, quick service. Good for business lunch. Amazing lamb chops
I love this place. I have always had an excellent experience. The food is consistently good and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to take care of you. Highly recommend!
Dear Michal, We are thrilled to hear such nice compliments from you. We strive to provide a wonderful experience to our guests. We will pass your comments along to our team. We look forward to seeing you soon.
The food tasted good and we liked the atmosphere and ambiance. However, the food and coffee we ordered came to the table only mildly warm ( and that’s being generous). Don’t know whether it was our server or the kitchen, but for the price of our meal they should do better
Dear Bilbo, Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the ambiance. We are sorry the food did not meet your expectations. We would appreciate a chance to speak to you to apologize personally.
This restaurant was just fine. Nothing to really go out of the way for especially for the price point. I got the Karaage and Waffles. The chicken was very good but the waffle wasn’t anything special. It was also a very small portion of chicken. The RAF coffee was surprisingly good. Definitely on the sweeter side but enough bitterness to balance it out.
Did not understand why I didn’t get open table points when I booked on open table and would like an explanation.
Food was good.
Great location! Cross street from Bryan Park Ice Ring, steps from subway. Very crowded maybe just during the holidays. Steak and White was good, but the green omelette just a flat egg with some steamed veggies on it and there is no taste of it. it’s not what we usually thinking egg wrapped with cheese and grilled veggies inside. I am not happy with it.
They don’t have regular brew coffee so if you want more then one cup it’s going to cost you. The food and service were good enough but probably not good enough to bring me back. It was the morning of Black Friday when we were there pretty slow, but we still had to beckon our server back to the table for assistance.
Great service, good food, cool NYC vibe.
Meh..... just meh
I've eaten lunch here two or three times, and this morning was my first breakfast experience. To say I was disappointed would be an overstatement.
Two of the three of us ordered an Eggs Benedict breakfast. The meals arrived and were barely warm. It was clear the breakfast was probably sitting ready to be picked up from the kitchen and the server must have failed to do so. Because we were with a client, we did not want to make a stink, and so we suffered through lukewarm and cold Hollandaise sauce.
Our second surprise was when the bill came and we saw we were charged for coffee refills. I've eaten literally at well over 100 NYC restaurants and have never been charged for coffee refills. We're not talking espresso or cappuccino. These were regular coffees. At $7 a pop, our coffee bill was $28. CRAZY.
I've always found their lunches to be fine. Nothing amazing, but good enough to return to given the lack of good places nearby. But this breakfast experience was completely unacceptable. Oh yeah .... did I mention $167 for three of us. Hah. Never again.
Waitress was poor today the least. Kept having to ask for water. Ordered an “appetizer “ of Calamari, but it came at same time as lunch. Requested butter with my toast, never came. I had the fried eggs w sausage, bacon, mushrooms & potatoes. Mushrooms were soo chewy I felt like I was eating rubber. My husband had the “Omlete” w avocado and chorizo. Omlete had Zero taste, very plastic. The few small pieces of avocado & chorizo were thrown on top, definitely NOT incorporated into the Omlete. Maybe it was a pancake??? Daughter had the onion soup, which was OK.
This is a go to breakfast place for me. They really need to get the service worked out.
In NYC, breakfast needs to be quick, efficient and responsive.
Hi Harvey, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I have sent you a message to learn more about experience, as this is definitely not up to our standards. Hope we can invite you back to give us a chance to provide wonderful experience.
Although conveniently located near the theater district do not go here if tight for a showtime. The place is nicely appointed and was packed on a tuesday night. we advised that we had to make a show in 1 hour. the drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive. there was no attentive service. the menu is , in my opinion, limited for "an american bistro" . really read over the menu before booking. My second drink was totally unlike my first one an was undrinkable. i asked that it be taken off the menu. When the meal was served finally almost 40 minutes after ordering i asked for the check so there wouldnt be a rush. neddless to say it came at the end after waiting 10 minutes then waited another 10 for change despite asking that they expedite it. in view of the rush i just had a caeser salad which was very average. My guest enjoyed a well prepared salmon dish. No time for coffee or dessert.
Hi Waynew, We are truly sorry for the service provided, it is not up to our standards. We would appreciate a chance to speak to you to apologize personally and invite you back to give us a chance to improve and provide wonderful experience. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Lovely place in the midst of the madness of Bryant Park and Times Square. And the best coffee!
HI Linda, Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We are thrilled when guests enjoy their experience with us. Please, come back soon!
The food at L'adresse is very good. It mixes the ordinary and the exotic is ways that are neither pretentious nor weird. I went there for brunch on a busy Sunday, so my impression that the service was a bit low and the noise level on the high end of tolerable may not hold at other times.
Hi, Thank you for sharing your feedback and very glad you have enjoyed the food. We always strive to improve all aspects, especially service for our guests, I would be thankful to hear what would have made your experience a 5 star. Hope to have you back soon. Thank you!
I thought it was overpriced for what you got and the worst part is that it was brunch and you have to pay for your second cup of coffee.. Are you kidding me? Absolutely ridiculous so that left a bad taste for me. People ordering tea got a teapot but I couldn't get a second cup of coffee?
The food was ok.. nothing outrageous . I had the Japanese fried chicken with waffles and the waffles were not the best , just ok. The amount of syrup was also stingy.. not even a 1/4 cup for a full waffle. I had to ask for more and was worried she would tell me I had to pay extra for that.. and no butter either.
The naam flatbread with mushrooms was very good and easily shared but I won't go back because that whole coffee thing has bothered me to no end.
IT"S BRUNCH-GIVE ME CUPS OF JAVA.
So great! Food was wonderful, had brunch and splurged in the Rah Coffee! Yum!
Hello, Very happy you have enjoyed your brunch with us. Raf Coffee is our signature drink, glad you loved it. Looking forward to have you back!
Portions served were for birds. Prices raised from the menu online. Never go back. Tourist trap.
Just a horrible experience. a Whole Foods is next door and saved the day.
I may recommend for a late lunch/early dinner, when it’s quiet. Good location.
Hello Nicki, First of all, thank you for taking your time to leave us a review. I will be delighted, if you shared more about your experience and what fell short from you rating us as 5 star. We understand there is always room for improvement and your honest feedback means a lot for us.
Good food, at steep price. Nice lunch spot. Book your table in advance.
HI Hubbadck, Thank you for your feedback. Table reservations are definitely recommended, especially during busy lunch, thank you for sharing the insight. Hope to have you back soon and provide wonderful experience!
The food is great at L'adresse. I had chosen this restaurant a couple of years ago for my work anniversary and ever since then my manager and I would lunch at L'adresse every year. Food is great and service is great. It's best to make a reservation because it gets pretty packed at lunch time. Its a nice environment as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. I am pretty picky with restaurants and service but this one is on my good list. :)
HI Sam, Thank you so much for your review and reservation recommendation. I would be very thankful if you told us what stopped you from giving us 5 stars, as we always strive to improve for our guests. Thank you!
Great Service, great food and great ambience!
I've dined at L'Adresse many times, however my last visit was a little disappointing, as my bok choy (refer to picture attached) had not been washed, thus it had never ending soil, rocks and etc in between the vegetable. As a result my teeth was extremely sensitive following dinner and 48 hours thereafter.
Hi Sherry, First of all, we are truly sorry for an experience like that. This is definitely not the level of quality we strive to provide at L'Adresse. I would like to invite you to give us another chance, so our management team can personally assure your experience is nothing but wonderful.
This was the second time we enjoyed the wonderful service and food @L’adresse.
The service was outstanding as well as welcoming. The food and cocktails were at the same level.
Hi Michael, We are thrilled you had a great time at L'Adresse and thank you for sharing! Looking forward to have you back!
The value for the quality is not given, 40$ for a sea bass is just overpriced for the fact that it wasn’t perfect All side dishes were delicious though
The service was below average. The food was okay but server delivered wrong drink for a start. No drink for 20 mins.
During desert, I ordered coffee to go with and server gave the bill in advance.
Hello, I wanted to first apologize that service did not meet your expectations. While mistakes can happen, these are really not the standards we strive for at L'Adresse and we would really like to make it up for you. I would be delighted if you joined us again to give a chance to provide smooth service and great experience.
I took a friend to an early pre-theater dinner at L'adresse and it was just lovely. The food was delicious, the service spot-on, and while my old ears found it a bit noisy as it became evening, it it to be expected of a decent, lively restaurant in the middle of Manhattan. I will continue to visit this restaurant often.
I had an injury on my legs so i asked them little more wide seat, so they gave me the wide seat at the coner. I appreciate about that. This is my third time. I love this place.
Hello, Thank you so much for spreading the word. We highly appreciate our guest's feedback and very happy you are enjoyed your experience. Please, keep coming back!
Overall the meal was acceptable, but a little uneven and disappointing. The burrata with tomatoes was excellent and the pesto sauce so good we asked for bread - but the only thing they brought was what looked like store-bought pumpernickel slices. The service was mostly attentive but between courses the old silverware was removed and clean utensils placed on a tray on the table, but not distributed - apparently that is the restaurant's policy. The truffle burger was excellent and the pasta bolognese good but it included red pepper flakes with no mention on the menu, something we are not used to seeing.
Nice gluten free options on the menu ... busy place ... classic good food
food/service great - had muscles, sea bass and hanger steak - all great - will absolutely go back
Frequent patron and HUGELY disappointed by my recent lunch experience. In a nutshell:
- reservation for 11am in order to beat the lunch surge w/important client. Figured we’d get quality attn before they got busy.
- had to flag waiter (Walter is name on receipt) despite restaurant still empty.
- waiter had minimal wine knowledge ie nada beyond red or white but that is the least of our problems.
- We order 2 entrees (roasted cauliflower and a branzino fish along with a side of fries). Keep in mind the place was still pretty empty as it wasn’t even close to 12noon.
- after what seemed like forever, we inquired about the status of our order. Once it goes this long we wondered if our order was lost.
- At that point our entrees were slapped down. Here’s where the bottom falls out...
- the fish was evidently overdone as it was curled up/burnt and inedible. Literally the texture of canned tuna fish. The fries were basically wooden sticks. Thus, also inedible.
- when we expressed this to our waiter he gets his manager Natalya. She proceeds to blurt out, with no apologetic emotion, BS talking points. She offered to give us a new fish. No way were we waiting for that. She then said she wanted to make this fine, wanted us to come back (I told her I had another client res that week and was probably going to go elsewhere). At that point she said she would take care of things and knew we were upset.
- waiter bought coffee, said he spoke to Mgr and she was taking care of everything (whatever that means)
- when no check came we assumed mgr was taking care of it but I still felt the waiter should be tipped.
so we finish, go to leave and Natalya
The food here doesn't disappoint. That said, the service sometimes feels hit or miss. Even when the restaurant is empty, we have to flag the servers down to order, to request more coffee and to pay our check.
There are some odd price point issues, for example, each coffee cup is charged – not bottomless. The sparkling water here is also quite pricey. Otherwise, I can always count on the food to be well prepared and delicious!
Great experience all around.
