Establishment doesn’t have kids portions so you have to purchase an adult meal for the children. Food was okay but overpriced for the quality that was provided.

We thought it was very nice. We made reservations for 4:30 but arrived about 4:15 and it only took a few minutes to get our table ready. The waitress was nice and helpful and the chef was good although hard to understand but my hearing is bad. Overall a very nice meal. One of my daughters ordered from the entrees and didn’t think it was that great but the rest of us thought food was great.

We used to eat at Kyoto’s back in the late 80’s. It was a popular place back then. I surprised my husband for his 61st birthday and we had dinner here with our family. Our server was nice and interacted with us, but the chef seemed like he didn’t even want to be there. The food was ok, definitely not worth the $375 I spent for the 6 of us. Very disappointing!

We paid for the “show” and the only thing he did besides slicing the meat, was an onion volcano. The food needed seasoned more and we ended up leaving half of it. Not worth taking home.

We always loved going to Kyoto when the children were younger, thought it would be a great way to revisit for my husband and my birthday. I did explain we had a birthday, however no special song or gift as last times we have gone. Just some recognition would have been nice. The chef was great, however not a personality to give us a show, and he forgot to give us sauce until the end of our meal. Not at all the experience that we were looking for from the past.

The service was good and quick, but the sushi was not good at all. We left most of it uneaten.

We normally have a great experience at Kyoto but this time we were disappointed. It started at the bar while waiting for our table. We waited a very long time for service having been ignored by multiple people. This included the manager who was more interested in chatting up a couple at the bar rather than acknowledging our existence.

It then continued once we were seated at our table. Our server was rude and disinterested. She seemed annoyed answering questions we had about the menu. The only high point of the evening was our teppanyaki chef. He was both entertaining and friendly plus our food was cooked perfectly and was tasty!

Unfortunately we felt rushed to finish our food and drink as were asked to give up our table for the next group and offered to sit at a vacant table behind us. You would think that we were lingering at our table for a couple of hours but it had only been roughly 45 minutes. Important to mention that our bill was $400 so one would think that would be an incentive to provide better customer service overall.

This review has nothing to do with COVID.
The food was not up to par for our expensive it is.
We had a reservation for 8 and waiting 30 min to finally get a table and then waited an additional 45 min to get any sort of food on the table.
The service was horrible.
Do not recommend.

It was ok. The food was of so-so quality, it felt like slightly cheap ingredients were being used with a reliance on high-fat (rich) recipes and strong sauces. Their famous volcano roll, for instance, was too fatty and salty to my taste. The service was haphazard and a bit unpredictable, but everything got to us in good time.

The drinks, like the hot sake, were decent. Overall, it felt like a place that catered to lowest common denominator American tastes. There was a emphasis on active presentation, like food on fire or certain tables where the chefs would come to perform elaborate tricks. Not my kind of place, though I can see why some people would like it.

We had a great dinner at Kyoto at a Teppanyaki table! The chef was so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating, the food was really good, and service was great. We have a vegan friend and they made everything completely vegan for him and were super nice about it. The manager also came over to our table to check on us twice and was very on top of things. Great experience!

The food was very tasty and the chef was entertaining. As far as covid restrictions, the place made me think, if I am going to get it, it would be while I am here... 3 tables exhaust fans were not operating so seeing the smoke settle all over the restaurant only amplified that feeling. Lucky for us the couple who would have been seated with us didn't show so we got our own table. But others were seating at capacity and not all one group. Additionally, their prices meet the expectations of Kasai without the ambiance of Kasai which why I rated value low. Overall could be a fun post covid restaurant!

What a Dump! Terrible food, atmosphere was unbelievably low quality, 5000k led lights in some ceiling lights others dim. Rips in the cheap upholstered seats. Metal table bases and just overall the worst tepen place I've ever been to. 300$ for egg shells in the fried rice, warm beer, the guy kept flipping rice all over the damn table. Unbelievable!

Our party arrived on time for reservation, with two late. Our table was given away for hot tables because apparently everyone had to be there to be sat. So we were given a different table that open, and another group after us al got the grill table. So not sure what the issue was there. Our server who apparently was a manager rarely checked on us, and upcharged us for something we didn’t order(not that we cared but really). The fruit on my drink still had the stickers, just overall not that great of a time really.

We did have a table next ours that had a birthday party and they were just having fun. But it did get a little loud. I own several restaurants and some kids were wearing hats which I never allow and one even has his feet on another chair while sitting at the Teppanaki table. Love the food and service I will be back again...thamks

We just came for sushi. They have multiple teppanyaki stations but we will go back for that! The sushi was fresh and reasonably priced. We had a few specialty rolls and shared sushi and sashimi. The beef teriyaki plate was flavorful (serving size was a little small), and the design-your-own ramen bowl was big and yummy.
