   Booked omakase for a special occasion. I receive confirmation that they have my reservation and all is good. Until we show up and the restaurant is closed unexpectedly. There was a festival happening in the neighborhood. Some sort of notice would’ve been nice

   The rating is based on the loveliness of the staff and simple modern coolness of the decor. Sadly, the food was uninspired and without flavor. I have never ordered tea and had to share the small pot with my friend who also ordered green tea. When we inquired, the server stated that they charged per cup. Seriously? Either you have a larger cup/mug with your own tea bag or you have your own little tea pot/kettle. Well, your staff is lovely, but the quality and price is not worth it.

   We were one of three parties in the whole restaurant when sat an they sat us immediately next to another table. We were so close to the point that one server would get stuck in between our tables when the other server was there as well. Please do not sit parties so close when you have an entire restaurant open. It was quite uncomfortable. Also, it would take a long time for servers to check on us and refill waters. They were just sitting on the other side on their phones.

   They were out of a lot of food and drinks and the service was pretty slow. Not horrible but not great

   Was expecting more from this place. The entire place was completely empty on a Friday night which was the first warning sign. The staff were nice but the food quality for the price was not great. I’d thought for a place that has omakase that the fish quality would be good. All of sushi had a fishy taste to it (which is indicative of lack of freshness). All the food was mediocre and I couldn’t eat the crispy rice or sushi and ended up ordering a bowl of rice to just be filled on something. An empty space, weird clubby like music, and expensive food without the “expensive” quality. Really wanted to love this place but it really disappointed.

   Our server was so rude and difficult to work with but we love the food so we always just work with it

   We got the gyoza, edamame, shrimp tempura roll, and veggie tempura roll. All were spectacular. The lychee martini was delish too! Skip the macarons - they weren’t very flavorful.
