   Love everything about this place. All of he fish is fresh (as expected with high-quality sushi). There are interesting combos (Wagyu....toro.....uni....etc) and all the essentials. They Kyodai handroll format is fun and unique.

   Had a great time with my girlfriend, we had the course meal for 45 a piece, it was great and I was stuffed by the end! Great staff explained all the items and had an amazing meal!

   Never had a bad experience but last nights meal was average. The fish was not as fresh as usual. The oysters were chewy and the fish did not taste fresh. Really bummed.

   The good part about this restaurant is that the parking is convenient. Other than that it sucks. The food is extremely overpriced. They have a very limited selection of rolls. When you ask them about this and you ask them about some of the traditional sushi roll such as a dragon roll, or a rainbow roll. They tell you that you can customize. However, customizing a roll is $25 minimum. Almost half of the rolls have beef in it. If I wanted that much meat, I go to Arby’s for dinner. They do try to upsell the customization role. Additionally, they sell goose liver. look into how this is raised. It’s animal torture. The prices are excessively high for a sushi restaurant. Overall, we will never be back to this facility. In the event of a zombie apocalypse, we may return, but I would expect them to be serving kitty brains

   This was our first time here. Food was very good. Fresh fish. Rice was a little gooey. Service was prompt and great! Overpriced for what it is. And the restaurant is small. The chef came and spoke with us twice which was very nice. Overall 7 out of 10. We would go back.

    Some the freshest sushi I have ever had. You can customize your rolls, "who does that?!? Kyodai does. Everythng about the location was quaint and inviting. We cannot wait to go back.....and bring friends!

    My favorite roll is the Kyodai roll. The cold sake comes in the coolest decanter. Ice cube and all. It is our local sushi joy—love it.

    Everything was wonderful from the drink selections to the food served. Menu is a little hard to read but it’s worth the effort. Recommend the yellowtail collar, citrus hamachi app, handrolls, chutoro and otoro nigiri and the riceless rolls. Each bite is handcrafted.

    I have come here so many times it’s embarrassing lol But this place is ALWAYS a hit. The chefs really care about the quality of the food they produce and everything is so well made and thought out. This place deserves more hype and can’t wait to see if they open more stores and dominate the sushi industry in Dallas. They give Nobu & Uchi a run for their money.

    Kyodai is great representation of an upscale handroll bar, tucked away in North Plano/McKinney. The ambiance and seating allows for you to have a small table or booth, as well as the sushi bar. We went on Chu Toro day, and had a few mixed Toro rolls, which were really good! Their seaweed and rice choice, coupled with the extremely fresh fish make every roll a lovely experience. Each of us (3) had the 5 handroll combo in which you get ( I don’t recall this exactly) a crab, tuna, and salmon handroll, a chef’s choice handroll, and one of your choice. My son who was celebrating his birthday opted for the spider roll, I opted for the spicy tuna, and his mom opted for lobster. We were all pleased at how fresh and tasty all of the rolls were. My son and I ordered several more spicy tuna hand rolls and a king (crab) roll. The spider roll was the only thing I would not order again. It was riceless, cold, and wasn’t very flavorful. The waitstaff and chefs work together to ensure that you are not inundated with rolls, and will only bring you more once you’ve finished what you have. Very important for your experience as the seaweed can become soggy if left sitting in your plate for too long. They brought my son a yuzu cheesecake as we were celebrating his birthday with a candle in it, which was a great finishing touch. Great place that I will definitely be revisiting time and time again. Thank you for a great experience!

    Kyodai was a great find! Just moved to Fairview and looking for great places to eat as a recently retired chef. Only 20 or so minutes away from Fairview. Casual but nice, owned by 3 brothers-but not by blood. Servers were very conscientious and informative. Ordered the level 1 Chefs pick with choice of app, 6 nigiri, and 3 large hand rolls-left me full for $40. Not easy to do in a sushi style restaurant. Nom nom!

    Outstanding little neighborhood restaurant with a modest, strip mall location but delivering haut cuisine experiences! This is not your "look at our weirdly named, Americanized sushi rolls" establishment, but a more traditional nigiri/sashimi/handroll restaurant focusing on high quality ingredients, top chef techniques, excellent beer, wine, and sake selections, and outstanding service. It is pricey - nigiri/sashimi/hand roll sets go from $50 to $100 per person, and the omakase experience retails at $150 per wealthy customer. Let me tell you: IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. My wife and Ioved our experience celebrating my birthday at this little gem yesterday, and cannot recommend them enough. Kampai!
