Kyma - Roslyn
Kyma’s airy, whitewashed wood design balanced by European stucco, evoke the stylized spirit of the Greek Islands. Generous seating at long white wooden tables are lined with plush, white canvas cushions. More intimate tables also dot the larger dining room. A sleek, oval bar separates the dining room from the lounge area. Here you will have your choice of standing cocktail banquettes, bar and lounge style seating. Our resident DJ will keep the energy high in this fun social spot inside Kyma. In the warmer months an adjacent open-air outdoor patio is perfect for al fresco dining with views of the quaint village of Roslyn.
Semi-Private Parties on Sundays – Our Main Dining area can accommodate 40-50 guests while our Lounge area can seat 20-25 guests.
One of the best on LI perfection in every way. outstanding menu and venue
The food is amazing as well as the ambience. It is a little pricey, that’s my only complaint.
Food is very good. So was service. Noise levels extremely high. And maybe I am being unreasonable but I think charging for refills of iced tea at $4 a glass is nickel and dime and unfriendly customer service. It isn’t the prices as such. I am okay with our meal which for 4 was $350. I just think at those prices maybe they could refill a glass.
Usually a 5-star experience, but maybe the regular chef was off as this was a quiet Tuesday. Calamari were rubber bands and the shrimp in the entree were overcooked. Branzino has a zillion little bones, some to be expected, but this was over the top. Wasn’t going to ruin the meal by sending stuff back as it sometimes turns into a big deal.
Service was excellent and great dirty martini.
One of our favorite places. Always a good meal at Kyma! Service is top-notch. If anything is ever not to our liking it is addressed immediately and graciously.
Had one of the best meals here we've had in a very long time. Everything was top notch.. Service, appearance, waiters knowledge of the menu... Exactly what you would look for from a dining perspective. And the food....over the top. (save room for the cheesecake)
always consistently good ! best salad year round !
I went to Kyma to celebrate a special birthday with a special friend. We were not disappointed. It was fun to sit outside on a beautiful day. The server never rushed us (and we were very slow in ordering!)
The food was beautifully presented and very delicious.
A nice dessert came with the candle I had requested.
A delightful experience! I'm looking forward to returning to Kyma soon.
The food was excellent. We each had the price fixe lunch and the portions were very generous. However, our service was not good. It took half an hour to get the appetizers. Even after we told the waiter we were a little pressed for time , he did not seem to care. When we were ready to leave, we had to get up and find him, so we could get the bill paid.
Staff was very friendly, courteous and attentive. The food was delicious and creative.
Great Japanese food and great service. Wine was excellent. Nice to have a sommelier to help choose wines.
Food worth the slightly elevated price, as per ususal, and I will go back. This is the first time we had issues: Noise level was fine, and then at 7:30 the music level was raised to make the place hipper and hopping. We began to yell over the music and the neighboring tables that had also raised the volume. Additionally, a gentleman was smoking at his table and the staff didn't stop him. That said, when we asked them to lower the volume and confront the smoker, It was done immediately. We go frequently, and will be back again.
Food was excellent but considering the place was 20% full they should have graciously let us move to another table instead of trying to stick us in the middle of others and when they did move us, a comment was made (we are not deaf) to the girl who re-seated us that she shouldn’t have done it. (The place was still 20% full when we left so no reason to complain to her.)
The wait staff also seemed incredibly busy (preoccupied) for so few seated. People next to us had to ask several times for help. They were nice at the end of the evening and gave us complimentary champagne since it was an Anniversary
Sadly the view is currently unappetizing, which is no fault of their’s since the Mexican Restaurant across the street closed and abandoned the building.
I enjoyed it but it was better last time. They do not have good tables accommodating two people, this was the second time we were there and put in an aisle where waiters were bumping into us, they take care of their regulars
Food was exemplary - kudos to the chef! All four of our party ordered different dishes and all were excellent. The appetizers we had - Greek Salad and Eggplant and Zucchini Chips were phenomenal and so tasty. The kitchen offers perfect spices for it's offerings- everything is delicious.
Always a fabulous meal, fantastic service and great atmosphere. Kyma is consistent gourmet perfection ! And I love that so many of their dishes are light and healthy while being delicious....like the grilled octopus and baked cauliflower with yogurt dipping sauce.
Enjoyed the decor of the restaurant, and the food was above average! Downside was the service was slow and the for some reason the Air Conditioner didn’t seem to be cooling the restaurant, to a comfortable temperature. Myself and my daughter both found it to be uncomfortable. Worth giving it another try....
Food is delicious, service outstanding. Prices are on the high side, but well worth it. Can't wait to go back!
Very good All around dining.
Bright Greek ambiance
Nice wine list
Hope to soon return
The experience was disappointing. Music was much too loud. People yelling to be heard over the music and overall noise level. Food good but not outstanding. Tables to close obviously to “pack” more people into the space. Not pleasant and not worth repeating.
I have always wanted to try Kyma and it certainly did not disappoint! Their grilled octopus is mouth-watering good and fresh!! My Black Sea bass was also tender and amazing. Just the right amount of seasoning. From the valet to the front desk to the server, we received exceptional service. The drinks are deliciously strong and I really love that!
My only gripe were the mosquitos which can’t be helped but they too had a delicious meal of my legs all night. Looking forward to returning and trying the rest of the menu!
We were very disappointed that we were not told that the air conditioning in this restaurant had not been working for a week. When we got to the restaurant on a 95° day the temperature inside the restaurant was also 95°. When the restaurant confirmed my reservation earlier in the day they should have told me that their air conditioning was not working.
We have been to Kyma quite a few times and love the restaurant. Food and service is good as always. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone who is a foodie.
After being mortified and walking out at Ocean at the Crescent Club we decided to go somewhere we knew would be good. We were not disappointed. Kyma is a pretty restaurant, with professional service and good food. We have been here several times and always enjoy it.
Kyma is exceptional !
The decor transports you to Greece
The food is delicious
The service is good
What more do you want ??
Last couple times we went they had ko AC. Horrible heat...
Everything went wron no air conditioning poor hostess staff sat us 1 hr late food not cooked thoroughly overall very upset
Seating was NYC style-deep tables that are way too close to have an intimate experience with your date, but you can hear the person next to you just fine. Music was turned up way too loud at 7pm so I REALLY couldn’t hear across the table after that. I had one of the whole fishes and only one side of it was cooked (how did that happen?). Dinner arrived before I was done with my zucchini &eggplant chips-they were whisked away and never offered for take home. Cookies were offered as a consolation and I didn’t care for them either. Service was sloppy. Unfortunately not a good overall experience for us and I was SO looking forward to going here for the longest time. Other Mediterranean places are popping up now and I would try them before going back to KYMA.
Food was fabulous!! Love the decor! Service was impeccable!
Great food and service. Loud and nyc quality people watching. The valet parking situation must be fixed! Overly crowded and long wait to get car.
We visted once before, the ambience was amazing as we were nestled next to a scenic view of Roslyn. The service was amazing. We received several food recommendations that turned out to be outstanding. We were impressed with the quailty of food. Recently we booked Kyma again and we noticed there was a shift this time around in quailty. Although we had reservations, we were seated in the bar area which was a surprise since this was a birthday celebration for my wife. In addition, there was a firefly buzzing around. The bar area was quite noisy. The waiter was very nice and pleasant but perhaps the loudness of the room hampered the communication. My order came with dairy eventhough I express prior that I was allergic to dairy. We had to ask several times for certain items like a fork and extra bread. We waited a long time for our order to arrive. The food was good, not as good as our first visit, however. The manager did stop by and apologized and gave us a discount and free desert. We will attend again based on the actions of the manager.
Food as always excellent and service is very professional. Noise level is close to intolerable. Hard to converse other than with one person next to you.
We went here for my daughters birthday. Everything about Kyla was very enjoyable. The food& service were excellent, we particularly liked the option of having a whole fish. Definitely am going back
Always outstanding but the noise level is deafening.
Love this place. Food is consistently good, service is very good, and the staff is always extra nice when we bring our (well behaved) toddler. The place gets busy so she has plenty to look at to keep her occupied while we eat.
Food and service excellent! Very loud and noisy as night went on!
Kyma is our favorite. Great food, great service
