Kyma - Roslyn
Kyma’s airy, whitewashed wood design balanced by European stucco, evoke the stylized spirit of the Greek Islands. Generous seating at long white wooden tables are lined with plush, white canvas cushions. More intimate tables also dot the larger dining room. A sleek, oval bar separates the dining room from the lounge area. Here you will have your choice of standing cocktail banquettes, bar and lounge style seating. Our resident DJ will keep the energy high in this fun social spot inside Kyma. In the warmer months an adjacent open-air outdoor patio is perfect for al fresco dining with views of the quaint village of Roslyn.
Ate inside but the table we were seated at initially had a long hair on it. We moved. Almost left but we were waiting for a friend we had told Kyma was fantastic. Gotta do better in times of Covid. Won’t sit inside again for a long time.
Food toooo expensive.
We opted for vegetables instead of potatoes
And we’re charged $11 more bc of the change.
We had to ask for our bill 4 times.
One and Done.
Excellent food and service in a very pleasant and safe outdoor setting. Could not be better!
Everything was perfect! The food was fabulous, the service as well. We had a great time.
We ate outdoors and tables were distanced appropriately. Service was excellent. We had the bronzino which was fabulous.
The only downside were the many bees one of which stung my husband. Fortunately he is not allergic to bee stings.
There was a very large party less than 10 feet from our table. We will not go there again for some time to come.
Excellent fresh fish 🐠 always! Thanks again for a great lunch experience.
We had a great dinner, service and food were both outstanding!
Very nice looking restaurant. Food was okay. Appetizers and cocktails were excellent. Service was incredibly poor. I used to work in hospitality so I know very well things can get hectic at times but there wasn’t even any acknowledgement on it. It took about 15-20 minutes before we even knew who our server was. Our server was very dry and forgot to put in one of our orders. When we asked about it he very passively stated it’s coming out but it was a raw appetizer that was coming our way after our cooked appetizer. To top it off, when he dropped off our check he was back in less than 2 minutes (before we even had a chance to put our payment down) to pick up the check book. When we expressed that we hadn’t opened it yet, he walked away instead at least asking to clear our table that was full of plates. After we paid, someone finally came to clear our table but while doing so, knocked into my sisters drink spilling it all over her pants. If any of my bussers in the past had spilled anything on a guest I would always follow up with a sincere apology and maybe a drink or dessert on the house just to express our regret. I really wanted to like this place and would love to give it another chance and maybe dine indoors instead. The hostess was very sweet. I would just hope not to get the same server. I think his name was Clifton as that’s what was on my receipt.
The food was very good, the drinks horrible. The quality of alcohol is equivalent to drinking gasoline
Dino the manager was exceptional. Great service, nice environment.
Luncheon prix fixe is done at this point so food is expensive. Quality is excellent and meal was very enjoyable.
We were there for lunch. Service was excellent! Food was delish! The shrimp in tomato sauce was fabulous!!! Dunes outside on the patio distanced well. All staff properly wearing masks. Love Kyma!
Terribly disappointed that Kyma has essentially zero concerns about safe Covid practices for their Valet services. We called the restaurant to confirm we could self park before our reservation. The hostess told us that was not a problem at all. When we arrived 20 minutes later the valet said, “sorry I’m not authorized to let you park your own car and besides, our lot is full. I asked him, “do you have hand sanitizer? Do you put on gloves? Do you have any PPE to get in my car after all the other cars you parked?” His answer was “NO”. shame on you Kyma. I walked in and we explained to the hostess what had just happened and they had a lukewarm “Ah. Sorry, here’s your table.” Lame, Lame, Lame. Eating here with these kinds of standards during a pandemic is a Fool’s paradise.
A friendly get together during the pandemic. Was not happy they cancelled the price fixed lunch. The food and service were great but overpriced. Very pretty restaurant....
Awesome food! Always fresh and delicious!
Our server was wondeful. Food was phenomenal as always.
Great time. Great food. Very good service.
Can’t wait to go back again! The food and ambiance made me feel like I was in the Mediterranean!
I was visiting a friend who lives & works in Port Washington.
She suggested Kyma for dinner.
I had first visited this establishment last year for a friends party of 8 birthday.
After driving 2 hours I was looking forward to a great meal & dining experience.
Sadly, this was not the case, upon arrival we had an early 3 pm reservation.
We were seated right away as I’m a diabetic an was starting to feel my sugar drop.
After waiting 15 minutes to be noticed ...My friend had to flag down a waiter, she immediately told him that I’m a diabetic an need protein right away. The waiter acknowledged her requested and walked over to other wait staff and proceeded to carry on a conversation. Again waiting for our request another 5 minutes she caught the attention of the manager told him the situation, he immediately went into the kitchen and came over with a piece of greatly appreciated cheese. The waiter came over once again and asked what we would like to order. We started with a dozen oysters ...that never arrived. The manger came over asked if all was okay. We mentioned we ordered but still hadnt received. He went over spoke to the waiter.
The waiter walked over to our table and asked what we would like! We asked where our oysters were, he walks over once again to the other cluster of waiters and proceeds to talk about us two tables away.
We immediately got up to walk out.
As we were waiting on the valet the manager came out and asked what had happened.
Let’s just say that if you worked a long day . Drove 2 hours and wanted to be completely ignored...by all means go to this establishment! Hopefully the manager will serve you.
Will NOT recommend....
As always, The best!!
Good time but the octopus was a little dried out.
I stated VERY clearly that I was gluten free. Our first item came with dip that I assumed was GF but after eating it the waiter came over to tell us Do Not Eat this. Why they served this to me is unknown. I was sick after. I will never go back.
Had to wait one hour for our table!
Delicious Food and Excellent Service always!
Food was average, prices unwarranted. Service was good but a little too pushy about clearing the table and plates we were still using making it feel like they were rushing us. Noise level too high to make easy conversations. After all the hype I was very disappointed.
The restaurant can be loud, so it isn't ideal for a romantic evening or a quiet dinner with friends.
Otherwise the food and service are outstanding.
Great food. Too noisy. Overpriced.
Awesome for social or business lunch
Always delicious Thursday nights great Dj very fun for a group of friends or couples. This is our got to place for a fun evening with excellent food.
To loud ,couldn't hear myself talk
Everything was delicious. Kyma chips. Chicken kebab
Great mixed drinks
Very good higher end Greek food, actually expensive. I highly recommend the fish to any diner
Food was delicious. The zucchini chips are a great appetizer. Lamb chops were thick, lean and juicy and the pompano was excellent
The decor is light and airy, the staff is abundant which makes the level of service fantastic. As for the food, fish is what it is all about and I recommend the Pompano and Dorado. Lemon potatoes are exceptional.
It’s our go to place for good food, ambiance, and the service is always excellent. It’s our favorite!
