Comida de autor tropicalizada a la península de Yucatán, espectacular la mezcla de sabores, la presentación fantastique, el menú de degustación es lo más apropiado cuando vas por primera vez, la elección de vinos mexicanos suprema

The best thing about Kuuk in ny opinion is the old beautiful villa in which it is located and the service which was absolutely exelent. The food was good, no doubt, but to some extend it was just well made Yucatán-style food that was “dressed up a bit”, admittingly with a few genius details. The price of the tasing menu was crazy, so we didnt go for that. All in all a little little bit disappointed, expected just little a bit more food-wise, but still a nice experience. :-)

Three of us tried Kuuk's tasting menu. It was a lovely dining experience; the food was carefully prepared, and beautifully plated and served. The wines complimented the food perfectly, and the service was impeccable. It was relatively expensive (approximately $200.00 per person) and we would not repeat the tasting menu again, however we all agreed that we would be happy to return and order from the regular menu.

The gift bags when leaving were a classy touch!

Very nice building, great food, good staff! The only minus was that the lights were too bright (but they dimmed it after asking) and it was way too cold inside (asked several times but still cold)

Food is good, creative plates of modern Yucatan style cooking. Our server was the worst server that I've encountered in my time in Merida. He was completely disinterested and wasn't explaining the plates as they came out, or anything. The other lady that brought out some of our plates did a great job and would explain the plates to us, as one expects for a tasting menu. Value-wise, it's not really a mind-blowing tasting menu, (heard some people say it's on the level of the Alinea's of the world, which is not even close to accurate) but still a good experience and a reasonable price compared to a similar American/Canadian tasting menu.

Impressive building and very attentive service. There was a greeter by the door who quickly identified us, so we felt very welcome. We had an early reservation, at 6 pm, so there was only one other table occupied. Several different waiters waited on us, which actually felt more confusing than practical. The food was typical foodie stuff, exotic and good tasting, but not yummy, except for the dessert, some ice cream dish, which indeed was yummy. Prices were much more moderate than one might expect from a setting this exclusive. I would recommend this place for very special occasions and for providing an experience for new friends. I probably would not go here alone just to eat.

Fantastic food that was delivered at the level of top notch restaurants with a lot of heart and care. The creativity and execution of the dishes are impressive. The only weaknesses are its wine list and odd cocktail menu.

Beautiful place, polite staff but not exceptionally attentive, great desserts but the rest of our food was average; the rabbit much better than the chicken.

Incredible dining experience for lunch during our week's visit to Merida. The food was so delicious and unusual in the presentation. This was definitely a priority on our Merida "bucket list. "

I don’t even know where to start describing my experience at this place. I have to admit I’ve been to the best of the best when it comes to food in Mexico. I was completely dissapointed in this restaurant. Not main complaint is not only the food which was very bland, my main complaint is the awful service we got. We drove from Playa del Carmen excited to enjoy a good dinner and of course expected great service from what we thought was a great restaurant. Immediately I noticed the bad attituded from the server, he seemed rushed and right away you could tell he did not want to answer any questions. Our other server was inexperienced, never brought my parter her drink (in the 2 hours that we were there!) our food was cold, we were explained what the dishes were in like 5 sec and of we had any questions you could tell they were annoyed. It’s hard to believe that it’s part of the “120 guía culinaria de comida mexicana” . Having a great restaurant is not only having “good food” but to also provide good service. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. Also it is quite uncomfortable when they bring you the check and the guy literally stands there watching you take out your money.

Was looking forward to tasting menu- not available that night. we had waiter with no personality. Pork belly was tough (wasn’t cooked low enough or long enough) Wines on wine list were not all available. Dessert with honeycomb was a pressed cookie with ice cream. To summarize if this is the epitome of fine dining they have a long ways to go.

Excelente comida, hermosa locación, muy buen servicio... Había algo en la iluminación que no dejaba que la experiencia fuera perfecta. Mi sugerencia: luz cálida y de menor intensidad. El resto, de primera!

Fabulous food, very creative and delicious. Gorgeous presentation and explanation of ingredients and preparation.

Gracious and helpful waitress who recommended wonderful wine. We enjoyed the handmade and especially designed plateware.

The fake wood Formica tables detracted from the otherwise elegant experience. Shame on you! Cover them with a tablecloth right now.

Tasting menu with beverage pairing - - 11 courses! One of the most uniquely flavorful arrangement of foods I've had in one sitting. Each serving was notable, both in the type of food, the areangement and in the pottery and utensils. The beer/wine/sparkling wine combination provided variety without having to decide on various beverages. The service was attentive and the server explained each dish. Our relaxed meal lasted about three hours. The restaurant and bar is in a colonial mansion with a modern flair to the seating and track lighting. Great for conversation. Our best food experience in our week's stay in Merida. Rivals any top restaurant anywhere Well worth the (reasonable) price. I will go again when I return.

Great food, nice ambiance, very attentive service. We had the tasting menu and couldn’t change up the dessert, this was quite disappointing for my wife. The food came and it just got better and better with every course. At the end of the meal we were surprised by an additional course with my wife’s dessert of choice with a little candle for our anniversary. A really memorable evening.

I can’t imagine how this restaurant ever got a good review. We ate there on Friday and it was a disaster. The building is lovely and the server was fine but it stopped there. The food was presented fancifully but not one course was acceptable. The full wine pairings went from acidic to sour and despite small pours we didn’t finish most of them. We started with a soggy squash and went through multiple bad courses till dessert which was unappealing and the complementary chocolates were presented in a fancy box but were dry and unappealing. This was the mode throughout dinner—fancy but never good. For 1/4 the price Chaya Maya produces a tasty and authentic meal that satisfies. We left Kuuk feeling disappointed and would definitely not recommend it.
