Wonderful as always!

What a fantastic birthday dinner we had for my wonderful wife and the whole family. Rachel was a fantastic server to get us some wonderful contemporary Japanese food which is what we have been craving for since we moved to Houston last fall. Coming from a culinary hot spot Los Angeles it is hard to find something comparable but I am very happy we found it at Kuu. Thanks to the whole team and we’ll be back for sure!

Excellent as always

The restaurant was full of food smoke. Absolutely unacceptable when paying such a high price. Our cloth still smell like burned food. Poor ventilation. Would not go back.

An exceptional experience at KUU. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant and our waiter was great. He explained clearly how the menu works, and made some recommendations to us. We found the food to be exceptional - enjoyed every bite.

Can't wait to come back with more friends and family.

Sushi is fantastic!

Racheal, our server, was the only good thing we experienced. We were very displeased with the quality and presentation of the food. We were expecting quality comparable to Uchi but unfortunately Kuu is over selling there mediocre product. Would advise the owners to be more involved in the day to day activity and spend time training there kitchen staff how to serve high end sushi. Also, the carpet seating is quite uncomfortable, the cushions are falling a part and have no padding. Overall extremely disappointed and hope Kuu reaches out and makes up the dissatisfaction.

The best sushi restaurant in Houston. Very creative dishes in addition to regular sushi/sashimi items. Seafood always very fresh. Excellent cooked menu options for all as well. Rolls also excellent and unique.

Food was on point, every bite was delicious. The staff was friendly, very aware of the items any the flavor of the food. Gave great recommendations.

Overall, I would not recommend Kuu. The service is adequate at best and demonstrates a lack of training. The Hostess was robotic and seated us in the most inappropriate table in the restaurant. Servers are ok - a bit too familiar and sometimes confused about which dish/drink goes to which table. Food was nothing special and a bit disappointing. There are plenty of better options in town.

Went for lunch and the sushi was excellent with creative and unique ingredients! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

This was our second time at Kuu. Thr food was fantastic again and the atmosphere is impressively mixed for family and party friendly.

Very tasty and creative take on sushi and large portions. Service is often a bit distracted. Fish is fresh and they feature market fish flown from japan. If you want a creative take on sushi and don’t like the din at Ouchee, try KUU.

Always great. People rave about Uchi and it’s nice but I think Kuu has equal if not better food and a much less cluttered atmosphere making for a more relaxing dining experience with real attention from staff.

Great food and exceptional service! Our waitress Rachel was very knowledgeable regarding the menu. This is our 5th time there and we plan to go back again. There sushi is not your typical RA sushi, once you try this sushi, RA will seem like McDonald's.

If you don't like the food here than you don't have standards when it comes to sushi.

Fantatic! Adam greeted us with a glass of champagne for our anniversary. He listened to our food likes and dislikes and provided us with a great 1st omakase experience.

As usually the food was exceptional and atmosphere as well as the service were excellent!

Have been here several times and have enjoyed everything time from the ambience to the knowledge of servers and of course the food and drinks. Too many great plates to identify specifics

I was very pleased with the food and the ambiance. Valentines evening they jammed extra tables in and consequently ran out of SOY SAUCE. We had to ask for it multiple times. They also didn’t have the wine bottle from their list I ordered. Our waiter was pre-occupied and not very attentive!

I found KUU through a friend for lunch and was very impressed. Its not the cheapest but if you are looking for high quality Sushi in a nice relaxed but upmarket atmosphere this is one of the best places in Houston. As a family we visit KUU every other month and have never been disappointed. I have never written a review for a restaurant before but this one is was worth the commitment.

Third time here. First 2 were good but meh. This time was a little later in the evening and was excellent. I’m really glad we have them another shot. We’ll be back for certain.
