   Kubo is an incredible authentic Filipino restaurant! They have great food and their service is absolutely wonderful. They also played the best music from the early 2000s and the vibe was awesome!

   Delicious neighborhood spot. We shared eggrolls, zucchini appetizers, and fabulous adobo chicken. They accomodated our time crunch to get to Theater Wit!

   Enjoyed our first dinner and it didn’t disappoint! Loves the Halo halo. Probably the best I’ve ever had 😁 The owner was very nice and attentive and appreciated her suggestion . Would definitely go back !

   We were grabbing a quick dinner before going to theatre at the Wit. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious as well. Loved the chicken egg rolls and seafood balls. The rose was excellent! Will definitely dine there again.

   we dined with other theatre friends on the outdoor patio - beautiful night. as we ate, a long banquet table was being prepared for a group of 20 who had pre-ordered a Kamyahan (sp?) - a traditional Filipino feast and totally "hands on"! ... as we were leaving, the banquet group was having a drink inside and they were VERY excited for this experience. We're going to have to try that!! looks FABULOUS and OH-SO-FUN!!

   Lovely sitting outside. The plants are beautiful. Service is good and very friendly, as always. My chicken sandwich was yummy (and oh those fries!!!!!). my friend didn't care as much for her choice but she misunderstood the preparation (was expecting grilled or broiled, not fried, fish). But we had a pleasant time and will go back again and again. It's a perfect spot pre or post theater (cross the street)

    The food was delicious however I wouldn’t say authentic, most of the dishes have been enhanced for everyone’s liking (americanized). The service was professional which we enjoyed. The servers and co owners were friendly and approachable. The ambiance is nice and quiet. I recommend the patio area. Overall, it was a great experience, I recommend it for those who would want to get to know American-Filipino cuisines.

    Service and drinks were excellent. First time we had eaten at a Filipino restaurant. There was no distinct flavor which made either of the two entrees we had exceptional I could have had these two dishes anywhere

    First time at Kubo and it was amazing. The drinks, food, and desserts were amazing. The service, though the server was a bit rushed (probably due to staffing) was on point. He knew exactly what to suggest and was quick in getting our orders. I would highly recommend Kubo!

    I have been here several times and I am so impressed by the consistency of good food and service at this restaurant. The owner is usually there smiling and greeting everyone, the bartender makes the best martinis I’ve had in Chicago and the food is incredible

    We hadn't tried Filipino food before, so it was a first time for us. We enjoyed the food (pancit and chicken adobo), the ambience of the covered patio and the service. Christine, the co-owner was also charming and made sure all her guests were enjoying themselves.

    As always, Kubo does not disappoint! Great food (especially love their ribs and pancit), a great selection of delicious martinis, attentive service, casual atmosphere. Highly recommended!

    The calamari tasted fishy and over fried, tpancit bijon tasted great the chicken adobo had an unusual flavor did not so tasty authentic cooking so it almost had like some spices in it I don't know if it was cinnamon but it was different.

    We had a wonderful time at Kubo. The covered patio is ideal The servers are so friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to come back and try different dishes. They are also very thoughtful about what time you need to leave in case you need to catch a show. Definitely a repeat

    Interesting and tasty food. Servers are very helpful if you are not familiar with the dishes. Lots of gluten free. Excellent cocktails. Nice covered outdoor patio. My wife and I eat here often before seeing a show at Theater Wit. Highly recommended.

    the food was so-so. the pancit was average, the longganisa burger didn’t taste much different than a regular burger, and the adobo wasn’t vinegar-y enough. the best part of the meal was the French fries and that’s about it.

    Kamayan dining experience was so fabulous. Took my non-Filipino friends here and they were so ecstatic with the flavors. Lots of work to do this at home myself so, having Kamayan here was worth every penny and more!

    Very good food in a surprisingly diverse menu. We only had main courses: a chicken in adobo (very Filipino) and a crab-crusted salmon (not so Filipino). Both delicious. Service is attentive. Prices are very fair. We'll return.

    Probably the best Filipino restaurant in the area... Cleanliness is great! There's a good ambiance to make you feel relaxed.. it's an upgrade to the Filipino restaurants we're used to. We ordered beef soup, fried fish, adobo ribs, pancit and spring rolls.. The icing on the cake is the Halo Halo.. a must have

    For a mash-up of Filipino and American dishes, you MUST try ... some is "pub grub" small plate varieties, some is perfectly sized (even large) entrees. Full bar, amazing staff. And an outdoor covered terrace with heaters when weather is reasonable. We were there in a snowstorm, so opted to be indoors! It's the perfect spot before theatre (across the street) and the staff is very respectful of when the "curtain's going up"! Go often!

    The worst Filipino food I have ever tasted; and I grew up on it. The adobo chicken was almost black and inedible. It was too too salty. How can you ruin Pinoy dishes like adobo and pancit which are very basic. I asked the woman serving us water if they had San Miguel. She said “no” never heard of it, but then I saw it on menu. Do not dine there. If you are Filipino, you will be highly disappointed. The owners were both pleasant but, I would not eat there. A waste of $120

    Overall we found it to be aggressively mediocre. Not much flavor on the noodles, ado a chicken was dry and over sauced, shrimp appetizer was laughably small.
