The salad and side dish bar is just OK but if you're into red meat, this place is great. It's a place to binge on all different marinated meats. The chicken was actually not very good...very mushy..and the bacon-wrapped filet was disappointing (bacon was all fat and undercooked) but the other meats were delicious. The noise level was fine until the music and dancers played...then it was impossible to have a conversation. That might be good when sitting at a bar but when you're trying to have dinner, the extremely loud music is just annoying and literally stops conversation. The price for all that red meat isn't cheap but for a binge night on a variety of meats can be enjoyable. In all, we probably won't go back again. Too much of tasty but very unhealthful dishes. If I was younger, and didn't worry about health, I'd go back.
The dance the girls do is so cool. Very friendly staff. Loved it.
We took our daughter there for her birthday and were very impressed with the attention we were given and the overall high spirited atmosphere! The Brazilian dancers were a wonderful surprise!
Love the food, but since this is not a large restaurant, they need to turn down the music when the dancers perform. None of us at our table could even hear each other. Service is wonderful!
Excellent service all around. Friendly staff and great master chef serving good food with a great sense of humor. We will definitely be back. A++++. I will highly recommend to all over here in Santa Monica, we need one over here. Thank you. AL
Great all you can eat food. Fast service, great environment. There were beautiful dancers center floor as well.
THE BUFFET AREA WHERE FOOD WAS LOCATED WAS TIGHT TO MOVE AROUND.
DINING AREA - TABLES WERE SQUEEZED TOGETHER WITH OTHER FREE STANDING TABLES. KEPT BUMPING WITH OTHER DINERS WHEN YOU GET UP TO GO TO BUFFET AREA AND RETURNING.
LIGHTS WERE A LITTLE DARK FOR BRUNCH, BUT WILL BE GREAT FOR EVENING DINING.
A couple of months back I took my stepson to a similar restaurant in Las Vegas (Pampas) for lunch. I did that to try out this "Brazilian Style" restaurant. It was a great experience and it was just under $30 for lunch. He ate, I watched. Since it was my daughter's 18th and my 60th birthday we decided to give Kravings a try. Reviews were great, so we risked spending the $49 a head for dinner. What a HUGE disappointment. I always ask everyone I'm with when we're done with a meal how they would rate the place on a scale from 1-10. Overall the ratings averaged a mediocre 5! Many people seem to like this place, but the way I rate it myself is on what I would have paid for the meal vs. what I ACTUALLY paid. I felt I got a $100 meal for the 4 of us. The bill was $275 with tip. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Many feel otherwise, but just for the record, I do NOT recommend this place!
We went here for my birthday brunch and had a great time.
My husband and I went to Kravings for our first wedding anniversary dinner, and it was a very fun night! The market table had tons of great options (I could eat that cheese bread all night long), and the meat was absolutely delicious. My only complaint would be that we didn't get to try all of the meats - it seemed like the same 5-6 options kept circulating. However, when we asked one of the servers to try something different, he brought it out a few minutes later, so it could just be that they circulate the most popular choices more frequently.
We also got to see some Brazilian dancers that were very entertaining (my husband was completely enthralled). Overall, we had a great night and left very full and happy!
This was our third family birthday brunch at Kravings. It is our go-to restaurant for special events. The service is unbeatable - we are always welcomed as honored guests and treated like royalty. The buffet is the best in LA for variety and quality - not to mention the table-side parade of grilled meats!! Best value around.
The meat was pathetic. It did not taste fresh.
It was delicious! Fun experience. If you are a big eater with a big appetite the value is great. But for me, it seemed very expensive because you can't eat as much!
The staff are all five-stars for service - courteous, solicitous, attentive without intrusion. The host did everything imaginable to make our birthday party brunch enjoyable and memorable.
This was my first time using this reservation service and this restaurant. I would highly recommend both friends and family. So happy we went there!
Went for brunch, service was incredibly slow, 3 people. Only one was coming around with the different meats, and not even to every table. Also only saw maybe half of the meats that were supposed to be offered, could also be because they came around with the meat maybe every 20 minutes. When a table next to us left, was not picked up or cleaned by the time we left, which was at least 30min. Some of meats a bit dry as well
We come here everyday for our anniversary. This time service was not so impressive. It took 20min to get some meat, the server really didnt acknowledge us. All he did was bring us drinks and that is all. We had to ask him for the meat, if the had a dessert menu, we didnt really feel like our presence was noticed. We came all the wa from Phoenix just to eat here. Food was awesome as always. But next time of going somewhere else.
Over priced! Meat low quality and not cooked by authentic Brazilian cooks. Cheap wine.
The host was awesome. Very accomdating have us a good spot to chill and at the same time able to see the dancers. The foot is superb and appetizer are awesome. Recommended to all.
Overpriced. Service mediocre. Noisy. Would not allow me to take home leftovers. Ridiculous. Similar to most other overrated Brasilian restaurants. Doubt this place will be in business a year from now.
I've been wanting to try this place for ages and it didn't disapoint. All the meats were cooked perfectly and the salad buffet comes with all the classic brazillian accompaniments plus more. It was also a bargain at $36 per person - I spent $31 at the mall brazillian food court place which was no where near as good and definitely not service or all you can eat. can't wait to be back
Had a great time celebrating my husband's birthday with family. Food and service were impeccable and we enjoyed the show!
By the time the waiters came by with the meat, our sides which we had to get at a buffet beforehand, had gone cold. Quite a convoluted procedure.
Some of the waiters were rude and non responsive.
Why participate in Dine L.A. if you're just turning people off?
The quality of the meat though was good.
Won't go back there.
One of the worst dinning experiences I've ever had. Quality of food is very low. Food is extremely salty. Meat is so low quality and hard to cut.
Service was average. Had to tell someone to bring meat out but once told, it came out faster.
The waiters were very good with their service but the service was laking with the pace that the meats were coming at. The meats came very slowly. Over the course of 2 hours we only got to try a couple of the meats on the menu, we didn't even get to try them all.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. We were beyond impressed with the food! The quality, flavor and amount of food was well worth the $48 pp! The service was excellent and the Moscow Mule was one of the best we've ever had! Great for a nice date night! We went on a Tuesday so we weren't able to see the dancers but if you go Wednesday through Sunday it's sure to be an awesome experience! We will definitely be back!
Celebrated a birthday on a Monday night. Quiet (and intimate) for us 15 since we took up a whole room away from the main dining area. Servers were accommodating and knowledgeable, very nice, and quick with the turnaround of meats to the table. Bill was great esp with their 40% off wine bottles on Mondays (score!). Definitely come hungry, there's plenty of selections.
This is a fun setting with servers bringing meat, fish and sea food on skewers, dancers in Brazilian costumes,. The food is very good and the buffet is terrific, especially the rolls. It can be a little loud when the dancers come in, but otherwise it is just the sound of people and groups enjoying themselves.
Great food, great service and a lot of fun. Amazing meats and great salad bar
Reservations were confirmed from online provider "OpenTable" and the food was excellent. Wish there were more hot green vegetable choices, but the food was great. The servers were wonderful and suggested trying meats that one or more in our party might not have eaten. He was RIGHT EVERY TIME!! No point paying same amount to go to regular steakhouse when you get so many choices of meat, unlimitedly. Will be back!
Peter was so amazing and informative he knew exactly what we would like.
Great food and service!
Lovely dancers and great food. Make sure you are hungry. You will be offered different kinds of meats all night long.
My review is for a weekend brunch. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated upon arrival. The manager offered to explain how their process works to novices and we were free to explore the buffer. I was craving meat so didn't fill up on unnecessary carbs or veggies. The few items I tried from the buffet were good but I was waiting for the protein. Their brunch selection is good but compared to a few other spots I tried, number of choices is less (for a bigger selection come for dinner). Nevertheless, meats were excellent. From a couple of chicken dishes to their steak; very tender and tasty. A staff member noticed that I skipped a few rounds and asked if I was waiting for a specific cut and he'll send it right over...an excellent gesture in my opinion.
Great place!! The food is wonderful and very nice servers.
Went here on Saturday night (20 Feb) to celebrate my sister's birthday with her family. I was greatly pleased with Jessica's attentiveness and Peter's kindness (he went so far as to get a bowl of soup and some bread for my finicky nephew)! Peter and Jessica went over and beyond my expectations. I will be introducing my friends and family to this great joint!
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday because he is a huge fan of Brazilian Steakhouses and this place did not disappoint. They gave us a nice private table and all of the waiters and meat servers were super friendly. I liked their layout and I couldn't believe that their sushi was actually really good! My boyfriend only ate the meats and enjoyed the leg of lamb the most. They make really great cocktails and don't skimp on the liquor! I had been here for happy hour with my sister before so being able to do actually sit down and enjoy the meal was a real treat. They even gave my boyfriend a happy birthday dessert with a candle, which was really sweet. I would recommend going on a Monday-Wednesday if the Brazilian dancers are not your thing because it can get very very loud when they perform, but I thought it was fun. I will definitely be back!
Some of the meats were tasty but not quite Fogo level for similar price. Wanted to sit us at terrible table and had to argue to get better table. Not best way to do Valentines dinner.
I was really looking forward to eating here, heard positive things.
Albeit I'm not a red meat eater, the couple I went with are and it was supposed to be a treat.
Huge let down, the girls at check-in where frazzled ( and the place wasn't even packed).
The buffet selection was slim pickings (and I've been to a lot of Brazilian themed restaurants).
This was a huge disappointment.
The guys with the meat on a stick, even though the "light " was on, kept by-passing our table.
We had to call the attention of person I presume to be in charge (of something).
Overall, all that anticipation was for nothing.
Certainly will not be returning.
