BELLY DANCERS on Friday and Saturday evenings
Celebrated my birthday and it was great! The service was excellent, and as we have eaten there before, we knew the food would be very good.
Thoroughly average food (overcooked, tough chicken. How hard is that to cook?) with ridiculously inflated prices. Ambiance: think emplyee breakroom with tablecloths.
One server in flip-flops (is that even allowed by the State?)
Disappointed last night and I arranged 8 for dinner. I could not believe it was the same restaurant that we went to "in season". Not sure if they had a different cook, but the owners were there and no help on the rather disruptive service. Presenting dishes was like it was a new thing! 4 had their "family style" assortment at $38 each. Calamari was overcooked and returned by two couples who ordered (will say it was taken off their bill - but we went to dine, not looking for dollar discount). The humus which I usually love, was not the same as previous (rather chunky, not a good flavor)... maybe this was like before, but have you ever heard of ordering humus and not getting pita bread (or any chip/bread). Pita bread was separate. Why not just add the cost together of pita/humus. They lost us for good now and the 6 "new" people, lost them too. We are a congenial group, it would not have taken much to make us happy (oh yeah, mistake on Sangria adding $2.50 more per glass, one friend noticed - waiter said "..oh yeah, I can fix that... 3 different checks needed adjusting. OK, I did say there would be a bellydancer... perhaps due to summer time, no entertainment (but I don't think prices were reduced... again that was ok). Just did not seem like the same happy, lively - good food - place. I was embarrassed having made the recommendation.
Always consistently good Mediterranean selections. Our go to place.
Awesome service + delicous food = great dining experience
Our fave place in the desert, a must every time we are here!!
The spinikopita tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. The filo dough was not crispy at all was actually limp. Dips tasted like the had been in refrigerator for weeks. The saginaki was ok. Wound definitely not go again.
The food was excellent, the service efficient, and the owners gracious and friendly. Perfect evening.
Great food, service, looking forward to a return visit.
we really enjoyed our time at the restaurant. its too bad some of the items I wanted to ordered were not available but that means ill have t come back.
Flies on windowsill. Only fair service.
The best Greek food we’ve ever had! Will definitely be back to explore other items on the menu.
Dining with two friends. All had Greek Salads with Chicken Kabab. Very good. Pita Bread is excellent as are all the hummus options. Not restaurants fault but we were there same time as a Bachelorette Party and t was exceptionally loud.
This was our second time at Koutouki while visiting from Los Angeles. Our favorite is the whole grilled Branzino served with potato and spinach. And we always have the grilled octopus for an appetizer. The service is always good and the atmosphere delightful. We'll be back.
Late lunch between a double feature at the movies. Great food. Excellent & friendly service. Look forward to visiting again.
The food was good.
Best Greek food in Palm Desert ca. Owners very friendly and attentive to customers needs. Will always come back
Really fun authentic Greek atmosphere and food. Great outdoor seating. Most of the food was very good but the Branzino was disappointing and the moussaka was a bit dry. All the appetizers were excellent.
Loud music from the restaurant next door carried to the patio.
Incredible amazing prefix
What a refreshing place to have delicious food in a casual atmosphere. We shared plates and delighted in the freshness of the food. Wonderful place. Go here with friends or family.
We were looking for a “local” recommendation and which led us to Koutouki. We plan to go back on our future visits to the area and tell our friends too. Food Greek food is hard to find and they hit the nail on the head!
This is our third time at Koutouki Greek Estiatorio. Once again, we were very happy with the food quality and tastiness. We started with Saganaki, which was flamed at the table with Greek brandy - truly delightful and visually exciting! Wet then had the Koutouki Meze for two which was so tasty and dishes kept on coming. Our daughter had the ribs grilled with olive oil, lemon and oregano. She's a really picky eater and wow, she enjoyed every bite. We finished with Baklava, sharing a single dish since we had eaten so much. The Baklava was chilled just the way we like it. (We had the Baklava heated in a previous visit and it was so much better this time around). Some other reviewers have indicated the Mexican restaurant next door is too loud. However, even with a live band next door we really enjoyed our experience and our party of three were not bothered by it. In a way it added to a fun and lively vibe. We definitely will be going back!
Would have all been five stars except for the loud music coming from the Mexican restaurant next door.
Our FAVE Greek place in the desert! Always look forward to coming here when we are in palm springs.
This was our second visit to this restaurant. Both times we were a party of 4 (the same 4 as a matter of fact) and ordered the meze (supposed to be 12 courses). The food and service was outstanding the first time we visited. This visit (4/14/2018, Saturday 6:00pm) we sat on the front / side patio. Service was slower although the restaurant was not more crowded than the first time we visited. We did not receive all 12 courses. Albeit there is way too much food to eat and many doggie bags were taken home, we did feel we should have received the full 12 courses.
Would definitely recommend
Such a fun, authentic feel. Food was incredible and our service was great even when they had a full house and a couple big events. Only request would be for cooler temperature in the restaurant... it got warm.
Food was not great but nice atmosphere. Weak drinks.
Felt like I was in Greece..very quaint
Great food selection..very authentic
Everything about this restaurant was perfect. We were visiting from New Jersey and promised ourselves to come back whenever we visit Palm
Great food. Awesome service . Had a great time with friends
Took about twenty minutes for someone to bring us water and take our oder. Don’t recommend bringing more than 4 people here
Food was great. Server was delightful. Nice evening.
Great food. Would go tomorrow
Got there on a busy night with last minute reservations. Cocktail service good, dinner
service slow. The food was very good but not hot. To their credit, they took one meal off of our bill. I would go back and would hope that it didn’t take an hour to get our meal after ordering.
The restaurant was suggested by chief who now lives in Texas, who had worked in Palm Springs. It was fun place and food was fantastic. We will definitely go back when we are in the area. Again A chief said it was great, that alone speaks highly of the restaurant
WARNING: Literally the worst meal we’ve had in Palm Springs - ever. No one warned us that the music would be louder than a dance club. They wouldn’t lower the volume either, since they were at war with the neighbors outdoor music. We were also not for-warned about the roving belly dancer, she was actually the only bit of comic relief. We actually had one of our dinner guests leave before ordering, since it was so uncomfortable to be in this place. We couldn’t hear the person next to us speak. It wouldn’t have made up for it if the food was good, but it was the lousiest Greek fare. Tasted like reheated, dried-out airplane food.
Delicious Greek food in a very quaint setting !
Loud music and asked twice to turn it down. did't happen.
Would not go back
