We had a great dinner. We chose "Feast 2" and had more-than-enough food. The chicken tangine was a favorite, as were all of the appetizer choices. Dessert was liquor-covered oranges and strawberries that were perfect after a large meal. We chose a Moroccan white wine which was lovely. The ambiance was intimate and the noise level was not bothersome. The owner checked on our satisfaction a couple of times and explained his method of preserving lemons. The wait staff was attentive and warm. Definitely will go back again.

Kous Kous has never disappointed with their delicious, flavorful, mouth watering chicken tajin. I just wish their food service didn't take SO long. Other than that, totally worth the wait ;).

We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated promptly and welcomed warmly by the restaurant owner. Our wait was very warm and attentative and put great energy into ensuring our needs were met. He informed us about menu choices and the nights specials.

I loved the cocktail list this place sports on the menu. We both hard a BOGART which was a drink of rum, lemon and muddered mint leave. Paired great with the food. Lamb shank tagine and the moroccan appetizers.

Staff was extremely pleasant, seating us in a location we chose (although the whole party had not yet arrived), and taking our order without waiting for the others. We enjoyed tasty appetizers (and wine, of course). As someone who knows (and prepares) Moroccan food, I give their lamb tagine a superior rating. The bstila, although not served in the traditional way, was tasty. All in all, we can't wait to return with other family members and friends. Parking is very convenient, too. The lot just next door is less expensive than the one farther north near the corner.

Only place I know to get good Moroccan food and merguez. Has a couple of good red wines, very limited white choices, none appealing unless you like fruity wines. Bring your own. Pleasant atmosphere, subdued and fabrics muffle the sound.

I was looking for a great place to go for date night with my wife. I must have driven pass kous kous thousands of time and never noticed what a cute place it is. Our dinner was around 5:30 which allowed us to get a couple of items of the happy hour menu. The service was great. They talked us through each item we were thinking about ordering, the good was great and the place is extremely cute and cozy.

This is an absolsutely lovely restaurant. I've been to Morocco twice and this food is quite authentic, if not even better! The owner, Moumen, is actually from Marrakech and therefore knows firsthand how to create delicious Moroccan cuisine. Also he is a very nice man who can almost always be found at the restaurant and will chat with you about Morocco if you wish! The ambiance is lively and the colors and decor are beautiful. This is truly a gem, and a great place if you are looking for something new and "outside the box."

We recently visited Kous Kous and it was definitely lived up to the hype!

Started our evening with the Moroccan Kiss which was ok, I definitely would try some of their other drinks next time though.

Before our order came out, we were served with complimentary Moroccan bread and a hummus style aioli- both of which were excellent! We also got a small side of spicy pickled carrots.

We ordered the B'stila Roll as an appetizer which almost seemed liked a savory (and yummy) baklava.

Then moved onto our main course:
Chicken Tagine: it was bursting with flavor and the sauce was even better with the couscous on the side.
Merguez: the highlight of our evening- the lamb sausages was beautifully marinated and cooked to perfection!

By the end of the meal, we were so full we barely had room for desserts but there's always a next time since there are way too many dishes on the menu we still want to try!

This is a very cozy and ambient location. I've never had Moroccan food before, and was pleasantly surprised with my first experience. Get the lamb, whatever the dish is, get the lamb. Their lamb is so tender, so juicy and so melt in your mouth flavorful. I highly recommend this place, it's especially fit for anyone who is looking for good food and an out of the ordinary dining experience. And lastly, a shout out to our waiter whose supremely eloquent and impassioned speech made every dish sound delightful. A bit crowded, but great place over all!

I would say 4.5/5 for both food and ambience. Service was very nice. It was the first time of trying morrocan cuisine so our server explained in details and I felt comfortable. I had such a great time on Sunday night. I brought a bottle of wine and the corkage fee for this day was $10.

wow, what a fabulous meal and great ambiance! really the best meal out we've had in a while. The waitstaff were very attentive and helpful with the menu. The vegetarian options were splendid and they had modifications for the vegans out there. will be taking family and friends from out of town next time!

6 of us came for a birthday celebration during the week. We immediately loved the intimate and exotic ambience-unusual for San Diego. We ended up ordering Feasts I and II. Every course was absolutely delicious! We were stuffed or otherwise might have licked the plates! Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We were extremely happy with our entire experience and will be back!
