    We went to Kounter for the first time for my wife's 40th birthday. Our table was waiting with a small card wishing her a happy birthday signed by the chef and team. A really sweet touch. We had a late lunch so did not order a ton, but what we had was delicious. Especially the smoked tuna appetizer. Amazing unique palette combination and even better presentation. The Southwest salad with Salmon was great value and had a unique presentation to it as well. Great ambience and history to to establishment. I wish they would include a bit about the history on the menu. There is a placard outside, but I did not have time to read it before coming in or on our way out. We will definitely be back again.

    Grateful for high quality options I have for gluten and dairy allergies. Care to details and taste, all of us equally enjoyed very different selections: Breakfast Sammie gluten and dairy free option, Stuffed French toast, and Biscuits, gravy & cheese grits. Not to mention the Twisted White Russian is fantastic. ;)

    Went for Father's day and the service was medicore at best. We were there pretty early so before the corward arrived and other tables who seated after us recieved their food before we did. When we received our food items were missing, like eggs... Waiter would disappear and I didnt think they were that busy with the empy tables around to have mediocre service. As people started arriving, it gets really loud as everything echoes. We waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come pick up our cc to pay the bill to which he never came. I has to grab another waitress and hand my CC to pay.

    Alec was very attentive and took great care of us. Food was good, drinks were good. It was a pretty great experience

    One of my favorite restaurants, I look forward to going here every time I’m in Rock Hill. I had the salmon and then returned the next day and had the shrimp and grits, both were excellent!
