Bar Koukla is a casual and intimate snack bar setting on the popular Ossington strip. A space where traditional touches merge effortlessly with contemporary design. Our interpretation of the classic Athenian mezedolpoleio mixes authentic meze, a raw seafood bar, a natural and oraganic wine list and cocktails inspired by the Athenian metroploitan culture.

We had a lovely lunch. My only concern is the food came too quickly. But the food was delicious and the service was excellent.

The restaurant has changed significantly since my last visit. The menu is now extremely limited, and unfortunately, the food was both poor in quality and overpriced for what we received. It seems like there may be new management, as the entire experience felt very different—and not in a good way. They now only offer a brunch menu, which was both limited and misleading. What was described on the menu wasn’t what we were actually served, which added to the disappointment. To make matters worse, they no longer offer lunch service at all. We came to celebrate a special anniversary, hoping to recreate the wonderful experience we had two years ago—but sadly, this visit fell far short of expectations.

We had a great evening catching up, we thoroughly enjoyed the Sangria, calamari, lamb, potatoes and salad. The cheesecake was delicious, our server was attentive and made fabulous recommendations!

We were seated outside so the noise level was not a thing. Our server was absolutely fantastic, her advice re wine was spot on (and we didn’t know about the 50% off bottles until 7:30 so that was a huge bonus) and the food was delicious. We shared the koulari with the honey butter and the cucumber baby gem salad to start and followed either the fried potatoes with feta, the chicken skewers and the lamb ribs. Everything was delicious but the lamb ribs were a little fattier than expected but very tasty. Overall a great time

Attentive wait staff. Very accommodating and didn’t rush us to give up our table. Food was tasty and well seasoned. Excellent wine recommendations as well.

This is my favourite restaurant on Ossington! Everything on the menu is to die for! Reasonably priced, great ambience, and wonderful service!

Server was great, will definitely be back. Drinks were really tasty as well. Old fashioned could use some work, but I’ve had many.
