Food was good, service was good, cocktails were just ok.
Superb food! Everything we ordered was fresh abs delicious. Highly recommend the barbq shirt rib buns and the Brussels sprout salad. The stonepot and the sushi were exquisite
Everything was great. Awesome service from Zena. Sushi was fabulous. Definitely want to go back soon.
Great service and fresh fish! The restaurant was initially having trouble seating us for our reservation but management made it right. Thank you!
This was my second time here in the past 6 weeks. The food was amazing. We only ate the Hot bowl Bimbap but it was so good! My friend had the same as me and he thoroughly enjoyed the meal as well. I cannot wait to return the next time I am in the Philly area
Excellent service and sushi. Very clean. Personable staff. Will go back!
The food was very good. Great flavors and textures. We will definitely be back on the strength of the food. The service was good. The decor inside was really nice, but due to the season we are in we opted for outdoor seating, which was good (but does not have the same level of designed physical space). The pricing made sense for the type of food, service and area. All in all a good place to have a a nice meal. Again, the food was great, so we will be back.
I love Kooma. Every time I come I thoroughly enjoy myself. My go-to items are the rock shrimp. the rib lettuce wraps, the salmon volcano roll and the smooth criminal drink. I can't wait to go back.
Everything we had was delicious, the Ceviche, Brussel Sprouts,Cocktails the various rolls. Delicious...our server Piper was a sweetheart as well. Kind yet professional..I know the service industry is rough right now, so her overall attitude and demeanor was fantastic. I will definitely be back!
The food is always so yummy and the cocktails are delish
Great food and service in a beautiful space. Excellent addition to the village.
Shockingly overpriced. Service was good, restaurant is nice. But the bill for 3 people shocked the conscience.
Indicated it was an anniversary dinner. Not mentioned. Sushi deluxe was amazing in every way !!! Rolls were pedestrian. Fish was good but roll rice was very disappointing. Perhaps the rice that the deluxe chef was using was fresh but the roll chef had different rice? Had them remade, not much better 2nd time. Steamed buns were good but could have used more sauce.
We would come again but not for rolls.
I know the restaurant industry is struggling overall and especially to find good people, so I'll give Kooma another try. The food was excellent. We had several sushi rolls and the tuna sampler, which was terrific. If you like chutoro & otoro, this is a must have.
The staff tried but they are inexperienced. A few are a little on the immature side, with more junior high / pizzeria style behavior. One waitress was clearly on point and just staying ahead of the weeds, while may others stood around staring or wandered.
I'll pop back in, in another few weeks and see if they've come up to speed.
Great food wonderful service.very loud and a little expensive but will return
Food is outstanding. Great variety. Obviously, need larger kitchen staff and bartenders. Bring your patience.
Great night, good food. Good service.
Food was delicious! I recommend the beef hibachi! Martinis were very good.
This was the second time and the food, ambience, and hostess were great. I did try the avocado roll and that was not tasty (never again lol) but everything else was delicious.
Our server was good and the manager recommended the water ice drink which is my favorite dink now.
This trendy pan-asian restaurant was far more expensive than anticipated when looking at the $ rating. Perhaps had we not been interested in nigiri our experience would have been different. $5 for one piece of maguro and $7 for one piece of salmon was somewhat shocking as at most places this would be 2 pieces. Our bill for three people ended up just shy of $200 and this was without appetizers or desert a very short order of nigiri, three standard rolls, and a bowl of udon noodles. If your goal is good sushi, I recommend someplace else. If you are looking for a trendy place to meet with friends the vibe is hip.
We had an early reservation and ate outside. Everything was fine until the end of our meal when we asked for coffee with our dessert. Coffee is not served here we were told. That’s bad especially since we were eating food that was not Asian- fusion such as chocolate cake and New York cheesecake!!!! Please get some coffee.
I had made this reservation noting it was our anniversary. We have kids so getting out for lunch is our only option. We had to wait almost 20 mins, then had the worst table right by the door so every time a server came out it slammed against our table. Certainly not special or memorable. Also service was very slow, probably bc only 2 servers were handling all of the outdoor tables. Not what we were expecting. Luckily the food was great.
It’s not bad just not at the level of some of the higher end sushi joints - bluefin for example.
Tasty and very fresh sushi. Good quality ingredients
Mediocre. Service so pitiful all the servers talking in front while half are folding napkins. Host helping serve food. Sushi is ok not great not awful. Have been here twice, big disappointment both times. Don’t GO
The outdoor seating on a beautiful night was the best part of our experience at Kooma. Our server was nice enough at first and things started out well with some decent martinis. Unfortunately, the food was overall uninspired and under flavored. The dumplings were bland but okay, stuffed with just beef and carrots. The spicy tuna rolls, which they forgot to bring us, were not spicy and there was no special sauce or anything interesting. There was also too much tuna per roll. The pad Thai was terrible - too sweet with too many sprouts and other veggies. The beef bibimbap was okay - but it would be good to have all the ingredients listed on the menu. My husband doesn’t eat squash or greens. We specifically asked the waitress for no lettuce, but she never mentioned the other greens. The food was pricey, considering nothing was actually good. Our waitress also disappeared mid meal and the food was slow to arrive. Disappointing date night. We won’t be back.
Why aren't the servers wearing masks with the resurgence of Covid?
Stay away. On Sunday Aug 22 only one server was wearing a mask even though their website says that all staff wear masks. Stay away.
This place is okay. I had high hopes and expected it to be an experience based on the price. Very simple menu that’s overpriced for what it is. The salmon and the sea bass for example were prepared the exact same way. Veggies cooked in the same sauce as the fish and white rice on the side for $40. I’m willing to spend that money when the experience is worth it, and in my opinion, this is not. I
It awkward being seated smack middle of the floor. It’s as if they lanced tables there to get more people in. Also didn’t realize I had to specific outdoor dining. I wasn’t able to sit outside but watched others come with no reservation and done outside. Ordered scallops as an entree as listed but it was more like an appetizer but very tasty. Ask your server about portions.
Xena was absolutely fabulous!!!!!!!!! Knowledgeable, personable & delivered the best best experience. Food was SUPER fresh. Best sushi I have had! Cannot wait to return !
Good atmosphere. Good service. Good vibe. The sushi was very good all around. The 2 Korean dishes, Bulgogi and Bimbimbap were average. Will return for the sushi !
We love the Manager, Kat...
She’s SO AWESOME!
It’s the second time we
have come, and we had the most wonderful server, too...
such a lovely girl with blond and black hair, named Kayla. She memorized everything we wanted, perfectly, and
without writing it down.
The sweet girl at the door, who greeted us, is Angela.
Ginger beer passionfruit juice mocktail.
Ginger dressing salad, split. Avocado and avocado lime dressing salad, split.
Udon noodle soup, without the fish, split. Both salads without any red onions or peppers. She remembered!
We loved the Edamame. We are vegetarian... so Sweet potato tempura roll, avocado roll, and
ACC roll... berry mochi trio dessert!! Yum!! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!
Fresh, and Beautiful!!
Check out the photos in our Open Table review!
Food was brought out quickly and the sushi was excellent! We will definitely return.
Will definitely become a regular spot for me. Great cocktails and sushi.
Nice decor inside. Nice outdoor space as well with overhead lighting and flexibility to pull down clear plastic siding in case of inclement weather. Food was excellent especially the scallop dish I had! Restaurant located in the center of square so lots of good people watching for entertainment. Overall a pleasant experience!!
Great time! Pleasant staff, eager to please, cooked food and sushi were all fresh and delish. Cocktails were great and generous portions. When seated, we were told that there could be a bit of a wait for food, but everything came out with pretty much lightning speed. Will be back soon!
First time here and it was ok. I ordered the premium sushi assortment and was underwhelmed.
Party of four, had a drink at the bar before being seated. Interesting and creative drink menu, bartenders were awesome.
Food was delicious although a bit pricey. The highlight of our experience was our server, Isabela. She was absolutely delightful, engaging and knowledgeable.
