We've been to Kooma before, as a matter of fact a member of their waitstaff recognized us, Last night it felt like nothing went right, After being seated we waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken and another 20 minutes to get our bill at the end of the evening, in between those two annoyance we were served lukewarm appetizers and a incorrect order, don't get me wrong everything tasted great but I'd be apprehensive to reccomend Kooma based solely on our last visit

We really enjoyed Kooma. We dined twice this pass weekend and both of our servers were great. Sushi and rolls were delicious. Short rib lettuce cups were great. We will be back!

The Nagamaki was the best I've tasted, such a great presentation and the Tempura Calamari was exquisite with lemon squeezed into the chilli sauce. My sister loved the Pad Thai with beef and her Hawaiian drink was incredible. Next time we hope to taste the flourless chocolate cake!

Very nice but also casual. The prices were pretty good. Yoh could get a bowl for 18$ or spend much more. The martinis were very good would go again

I enjoyed lunch outside with 3 friends. The service was excellent, and we all enjoyed our meals. Sitting outside was comfortable with overhead heaters and a covered patio with plastic sides that were open in the corners.

Always absolutely fantastic! Kat, the manager is a fantastic lady! Our server, Luke, is also a fantastic guy! We had the most fabulous vegetarian choices! We were absolutely THRILLED! We took pictures of our amazing choices that we shared and we were so abundantly pleased! Our table was full! Everything was fantastic! We love the ginger dressing green salad, the avocado salad with the avocado lime dressing! The brussels sprouts, the vegetarian udon noodle soup with extra mushrooms, edamame, vegetables tempura, The vegetarian sushi choices, especially the AAC, and the sweet potato tempura roll, and the berry mochi dessert! Outstanding!! Our FAVORITE PLACE!

Second visit. The first was so fabulous that I went back two weeks later. Sigh.
Our server was fantastic. The food runners as well.
Unfortunately, our food came out haphazardly, appetizers and mains all at different times.
One roll still had mn’t come out 20 minutes after the rest of our food, though several times we asked.
And the quality of the food was at best the same as what we can get at our local Korean food court so not worth the hefty price tag. When you pay $10 for a single piece of sushi you have high expectations. When your stone bowl is $28 you expect high quality and a really hot bowl. In Short, I’d you are paying $40+ per person without drinks you expect a great meal, not” fine “
At the end of the meal we asked for the last roll to go…. Since it still had not arrived. Then they couldn’t charge us for the bill because the system went down….. for more than 30 minutes. We ended up getting cash from the atm and asking to please just pay cash so we could go home (it was now 10:30pm)
So to say I am disappointed is an understatement. We could not even talk to the manager because of the system issue.
Despite it all, the service staff was superlative and we made sure our server was taken care of.
But doubt we will be back.

Every time I go to Kooma there’s an incredibly long wait before a server ever comes to the table & everything takes way too long to get to you. Good food & drink but they need to up the sense of urgency.

Enjoyed the night however the service to our table was very delayed with every aspect of the meal from getting drink ordered, appetizers, entrees, boxes and the check. Had asked for extra sauce on the side for an entree ordered and the server returned 15 minutes later without it because he had completely forgotten. Overall ok experience. Good was good

The food was incredible. I thought the staff was short and it took quite a bit of time for our main dish. However, I do believe the current state of the economy and the inability to to hire people is a big part of the problem. With all of that said I can’t wait to go back!!!

I have eaten here once before and decided to take my husband. He is not a sushi eater, but he really enjoyed his beef udon. I ordered the salmon carpaccio for an appetizer. I expected the cut to be a lot thinner, but it was tasty, just too much sauce. The salmon egg sushi I ordered had an ammonia taste, which meant it was going bad. My softshell crab roll was good, but not as good as some other restaurants where I have had it. Skimpy cut of mackerel and other sushi pieces, also ammonia taste. Five dollars a piece, they should provide bigger cuts of fish. Not impressed overall, probably will not go back. I have probably been to over 50 sushi restaurants in my life and this not on the top of my list. Our waitress was excellent and we ordered two of the special martinis which were very good. May be a good place to go for appetizers and drinks, but I would not recommend the sushi.

The food was very good. Great flavors and textures. We will definitely be back on the strength of the food. The service was good. The decor inside was really nice, but due to the season we are in we opted for outdoor seating, which was good (but does not have the same level of designed physical space). The pricing made sense for the type of food, service and area. All in all a good place to have a a nice meal. Again, the food was great, so we will be back.

Indicated it was an anniversary dinner. Not mentioned. Sushi deluxe was amazing in every way !!! Rolls were pedestrian. Fish was good but roll rice was very disappointing. Perhaps the rice that the deluxe chef was using was fresh but the roll chef had different rice? Had them remade, not much better 2nd time. Steamed buns were good but could have used more sauce.
We would come again but not for rolls.

I know the restaurant industry is struggling overall and especially to find good people, so I'll give Kooma another try. The food was excellent. We had several sushi rolls and the tuna sampler, which was terrific. If you like chutoro & otoro, this is a must have.
The staff tried but they are inexperienced. A few are a little on the immature side, with more junior high / pizzeria style behavior. One waitress was clearly on point and just staying ahead of the weeds, while may others stood around staring or wandered.
I'll pop back in, in another few weeks and see if they've come up to speed.

This trendy pan-asian restaurant was far more expensive than anticipated when looking at the $ rating. Perhaps had we not been interested in nigiri our experience would have been different. $5 for one piece of maguro and $7 for one piece of salmon was somewhat shocking as at most places this would be 2 pieces. Our bill for three people ended up just shy of $200 and this was without appetizers or desert a very short order of nigiri, three standard rolls, and a bowl of udon noodles. If your goal is good sushi, I recommend someplace else. If you are looking for a trendy place to meet with friends the vibe is hip.
