Those who love sushi already know the name Kone Sushi by heart.
The popular restaurant is now in the diverse foodie scene of Downtown Miami. Since our opening in September 2010, we have made it our mission to bring a unique and delicious Japanese and Brazilian fusion that delights locals and travelers alike.
We have an unbeatable variety of foods, with a selection of over 20 appetizers alone! We are enticed with delicious plates in our Chef's Choice.
We are located in the heart of Downtown where you can enjoy what Miami is truly about: quality food, great drinks and fun times.
Food gave us the runs........
The problem is to find a good place where to eat sushi in Miami!! Considering the level of tourism in the city, the sushi restaurant owners should hired a good sushi chef who can create more authentic Japanese food.
Long waits for waiter, polite but inattentive. Food was good but you could tell this wasn’t a Japanese managed restaurant. Sushi rolls were loosely rolled, Gyoza didn’t seem to be home made. Overall the experience was fine.
We went there for dinner , everything was amazing . We told server we don’t like rice and want to have a healthy dinner he brought most amazing dishes some we never had before . Food came very fast and he didn’t rush us as most places do. Will definitely go back and suggest our frds as well.
Everything was great other than our waiter was not very attentive.
We were ignore by our server, and the food was not very good.
Absolutely amazing place. Some of the best sushi ive had, staff and locstion is the beat!
Happy hour choices were terrific!
The waiter's recommendations were all good, the food was delicious and came pretty quickly and the final bill was more than fair.
The food was reasonable however two of our party had an allergic reaction to the crab salad. Neither of them has ever had any allergic reactions to shellfish before which makes me question how fresh that particular dish was. Otherwise the sushi was good and reasonable value with quite large portions.
Great service and fresh sushi definitely will be back!
Took a day trip to Miami and wanted to get sushi. The sushi was great, was a little expensive, but the quality was really good. There was actually nobody else in the restaurant besides our party. So everything came quickly. Sushi came out one dish at a time. Don’t mind that, helps to pace ha. Overall, really enjoyed it and would recommend.
Great fresh Sushi. Good AYCE option. Nice staff. Pleasant but not elegant environment. Fried dishes not so good and clothes stunk of cooking oil upon departure.
Went for a late-night meal, the sushi met expectations, tho not exceptional
When we arrived there wasn’t anyone there so we figured we’d be quick in and out. The menu online says hibachi steak, it was not. It was beef teriyaki. The food was only warm. We were there for an hour and a half and everything took very long. Our dinner came out before our soup and salad. We also asked if instead of white rice we can get fried rice and our waitress, who was sweet and beautiful but very slow paced and forgetful, told us it would be a little bit of an upcharge. When we got the bill the “little upcharge” was $7 and $5 which is not an upcharge it is full price. She brought our edemame twice, the second time being after the meal came. The restaurant was nice and in a great location but staff doesn’t really know what they’re doing.
The food was great as usual. The service was slow but friendly.
Great service and excellent happy hour prices
Amazing meal. Waitress was amazing. Can't believe I can't remember her name! She was beautiful and from Brazil! All of her recommendations were on point!
The food was decent ... salad came without dressing and whenever we asked our server a question she gave very rude short answers. I believe she was new but the service was terrible.
They called me to cancel my reservation because they wanted to close earlier.
Great food and great ambiance. All you can eat doesn’t include everything on the menu, but has good options, definitely worth it. Not a full bar, only wine (sake) and beer drinks.
I’d like to sincerely thank you guys for a wonderful night last night. I had a friend in town from Paris and she had never had real, American fusion sushi before. Back home, sushi is just rice, seaweed, and whatever seafood meat is inside, so this was a welcome change.
When we came in, we were greeted by Eduardo, who was polite, friendly, and very engaging. He made us both feel so at home that I forgot this was my first time ever visiting Kone after hearing about it so much. From the moment we got our menus, Eduardo did everything he could to help us understand meal choices.
All in all, Eduardo was awesome. He was kind, hospitable, and he definitely helped make my beloved friend Injéh feel and know something she never did before—amazing sushi.
I can’t wait to come back next time.
The all you can eat it amazing. Don’t forget the desert!
The food was OK, although had a disappointing experience with a sushi roll ordered that was not prepared as Instructed.
(Sushi chef on training)
Room for improvement
I had seen the positive reviews on Open Table, so was encouraged to try, on a business trip. Original waiter got my order wrong twice. Each time they brought out the wrong food, mixing up the request - and it wasn't complicated. Food was ok.
Won't return / recommend.
The food wasn’t very fresh. I was the only person dining in and the server seemed a bit annoyed.
Second time at the restaurant amd we both were very impressed feom the quality, creativity, hosputality and the Brazilian twist for sushi cousine
Not fresh Too many better choices food is not fresh ambience is terrible service do not speak English
I would DEFINETELY come back. Great restaurant!
Waiter was real nice & gave us recomm
Great happy hour! Excellent service and the restaurant is clean, inviting, and in a good location! Outdoor seating available too! Two thumbs up!
Not good place for sushi. Whenever there is an option for all you can eat in a sushi place. It is a sign for mediocre food.
Decent food at reasonable price but Waiter with poor manners
We were craving for some Sushi last week. As usual, my wife relied on me to pick a good place for our date night. After some reliable research, I selected Kone Sushi in the downtown area of Miami.
Overall, it might be a decent place for lunch or for takeout but not for formal dinner.
We had the crunchy monster, rock shrimp, spicy Edaname and a miso soup to start. Subsequently, we ordered the Unagi special along with the Sashimi platter. For the 1st time EVER, we were insulted by the waiter (Ivan) who bluntly told us: “Oh boy, you were hungry”. Later on, we tried to be politically correct by telling him that it was not appropriate to make a such statement. As if he didn’t get it, he repeated the same stupid words again. He didn’t see anything abnormal with his statement. That waiter needs some serious training. This is the 1st time I write a bad review about a waiter because we were really offended.
With a poor ventilation system and unprofessional staff, I quickly realized why the restaurant was virtually empty on a Friday evening why the Italian restaurant just a few doors down the street was packed.
Would we go back? May be for a quick lunch but definitely not for dinner.
Service is regular to bad. Everytime we asked for a beer it took more than 10 min to be served. Restaurant was not busy at all, the owners were there, but something was going on between the managers and the staff. Food was good, fresh and authentic and didn't take too long to be served. They speak english, spanish and portuguese, wich is a plus. The place is not as spacious as other downtown restaurants, but you can choose to eat inside or outside (sidewalk tables).
Charging almost the same price for kids (80% of an adult) is an absurd! Food is just ok.
Fantastic establishment. Albeit, we arrived 10 mins late for our reservation when the kitchen was closed but were still able to order our rolls. Big up to the staff for the kindness. Recommend for the sushi lovers of Miami.
This is a fantastic establishment and the service was excellent
I had tickets to the Bocelli concert at the AA Arena. It was a Valentines Day surprise for my fiance. I made a reservation at Kone Sushi because both my fiance and myself love sushi. I received an email confirmation. I was driving from Palm Beach to the restaurant. About 50 miles into my trip they called me on my cell phone to inform me that the restaurant is closed and has been under renovations and they cannot honor my reservation. You don't want to know how furious I was. Try to find a restaurant on Valentines day the last minute near the venue you are going to that is expecting 30,000 people to show up. Why would they accept a reservation knowing full well that they could not accommodate any guests. Needless to say I will NEVER, NEVER, go there. Nor would I use Open Table for any more reservations. I wrote the book, "The Depersonalization of Corporate America." This is a perfect example of how technology can screw up a perfect evening.
Kone Sushi does offer delivery in partnership with Postmates and Uber Eats. Kone Sushi also offers takeout which you can order by calling the restaurant at (305) 373-7622.
Kone Sushi is rated 3.8 stars by 43 OpenTable diners.
Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting reservations at the moment.
