We went for Happy Hour. The food was awful. It was so bad that the manager gave it to us free. We ordered the meatballs and they were awful and overcooked. The lettuce with our chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps were at least 4 weeks old. The waitress told the chef how bad the lettuce was and he still served it. The sauce with the lettuce wraps was to spicy. The lettuce wraps were good if it wasn’t for the lettuce. They put the same lettuce on my hamburger. I asked for the hamburger to be medium and it was way over done. The chicken satay, shrimp tempura, and sushi was good.

The vibe of the restaurant was cool. New and contemporary. The service was slow, especially for a non-busy time. The rest was only about 1/4 full, but the service took a very long time. When we got our food, it was average at best. The sea bass had great flavor, but it was a very small portion served on a large bed of bok choy. The Pad Thai was a sticky mess with over cooked noodles mixed with a very sweet sauce. It was too sweet for either of us, and we only finished about half of it. The NY strip was good. It was well seasoned and well cooked. My daughter got two sushi rolls. They seemed to fit the bill and she enjoyed them. Overall, I would say that the Kona Grill has a ton of potential. The menu looks incredible. But the service and execution fall flat. We were glad we went and tried it, but won’t go out of our way to go back.

It was just OK. Nothing special. Extremely over priced. We used to frequent Kona Grill when we lived in Idaho 6 years ago. It seems like prices have at least doubled and it was just ok. I don’t remember appetizers costing over $20. Our food took 50 minutes to get to us and the restaurant was only about 30% capacity. We probably won’t go back.

Kona was disappointing this time around. We were asked if we wanted to sit on the rooftop and we did. The tables were very dirty from dirt. There were only a few other people and others asked for their tables to be wiped off. There could have been some short of music or DJ they would have made the atmosphere More enjoyable. My husband and I ordered ribeye steaks and I ordered mine medium and my husband ordered medium rare. Mine came out well done, I didn’t mention anything because the waitress was already very sorry since we were charged $12 extra for each meal because we wanted another sides. It’s ridiculous that management up charges for other sides that should be an option. We spent over $200 that included drinks. For a place so pricy I am sure they could afford to not up charge so much. I hate the mashed potatoes! We probably won’t go back for a long time.

They had great options the food was all super yummy, i loved the shrimp and the fried rice! overall it was delicious, they were so kind and I would absolutely recommend coming here! It has the cutest place to have pictures and it is definitely going to be a new favorite!

Our experience here was unsettling from the start. After ordering with one server, another—who seemed disoriented and oddly erratic—took over and hovered over the table before speaking. We ordered simple dishes and asked for everything to come out at once, but only received one item after a long wait. The yellowtail appetizer tasted spoiled, with a sour, nauseating aftertaste. Given that we also ordered raw poke bowls, we were alarmed about the fish quality and chose to leave without eating the rest. I would not return.
