Really enjoyed our dinner. We got to Kona Grill during the decided second OT of the Alabama / Auburn game so it was a bit noisy (not annoyingly so) but quieted as soon as the game was over. Alabama won- ROLL TIDE!
Had prime rib sandwich w chips. Some chips were fine, others were rancid. After a really rancid chip, I wouldn’t eat anymore. Waiter was slow to refill drinks and clear dirty dishes - though I’m more tolerant of that because lack of wait-staff. Used the women’s restroom and one of the toilets had no seat so had to “hover”.
Food was raw, took forever and had zero flavor. Got 2 meals wrong!
First time at Kona Grill and it was an enjoyable experience. The food was tasty and the staff was polite and helpful. We will definitely return!
Great food and great service.
Everything was great! Food was delicious; our waiter was outstanding, and atmosphere was great!
Extremely quiet for a Saturday lunch. Menu is smaller but well thought out. Food was good quality although the Brussels could have done with a couple more minutes to cook, slightly raw.
Employees have to wear a mask however most wore them as chin straps which doesn’t qualify
Prices have increased but they have everywhere
Went for birthday and they said they would get my daughter dessert and they never brought it. They had a seasonal specialty drink so I ordered it and then they informed me that they didn’t have the ingredients to make it. My wife ordered a second drink that they never brought, at least I didn’t get charged for it. Our waitress was definitely distracted and we were not on top of her priority list.
We had a wonderful time during our date at Kona grill.
We went to Kona with another neighbor couple. We each ordered a seafood dish. The salmon was good. The pad Thai was very sweet. The Line stir fry was good. The chicken was too spicy. At least that's what I was told.
The food was ok. But not special.
The service was slow. Perhaps because of staffing issues.
The room was pretty echo-y, if you know what I am saying. Not that many people but it seemed like more.
Service was very slow. We waited over 45 minutes before we got our appetizer. Then there were no clean glasses and they brought sweet tea in a sty foam cup. When paying over $250 for a dinner this type of service is not what I expected. Also a beer glass was chipped
Our food and service was really good. Cory was wonderful!
Normally it is very good. But tonight the service was very slow. But our server was wonderful!
The restaurant appeared clean and the ambiance was nice, however the waitress we had was...for lack of better words, flat. She seemed bothered to be there and it felt that she was rushing us through our entire service. Well we finishing out food she brought the ticket and asked if we could fill it out and because she had to get to a second job. Which explained out rushed service. we had to ask her for additional time to make food selections more than once.
The food was basically a RIPOFF initially.. AT least what we initially received. We both ordered an omelette and both had were very small and had little ingredients in them. They replaced ONE of the orders although we ordered the same thing. The replacement looked and tasted like what you would expect for $16 omelette. They really should have been ashamed of what they brought out at first.
Corey was fantastic abd fun. Great experience
The service was terrible. Our waitress rushed us to order and then stopped coming by. Our drinks stayed empty and dirty empty dishes stayed on the table. It took two hours total from the time we sat down until our food came and finally our check came. Our entrees came out 45 minutes after ordering, and our steak ordered medium was cooked well done. Our Wasabi for our sushi was hard and old. Whipped potatoes were cold, and brussel sprouts were under cooked. Our waitress dropped our food off and didn't check back for 30 minutes, so we didn't even have the chance to get it corrected. We spent $200 including tip, and this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had.
Great service and delicious food! The musak was a bit distracting.
The music playing was very very loud however it was a great playlist. Sadly that is all the nice things I can say. Eggs were overcooked and not mixed well. English muffins were done on the grill in fat and just soaked in oil and not crispy. Definitely not worth $80 for 4 people for brunch. And sadly the waitress was even worse. She started off pleasant then just went sour. Took ages to get anything and not a pleasant demeanor. We tend to always give the benefit of the doubt and are extremely patient but this one just had nothing but the music to be good sadly.
Everything was wonderful! The food was amazing and so were the drinks. Service was great. We love eating at Kona!
My husband and I were not told waitress name. She was training a lady and did not introduce us to her nor give us a run down on the food since that was our first experience there. I only eat meat because I need to due to health problems and asked for the chicken on the side, our waitress advised that would be a mistake since most of the dish was chicken, I got the stir fry. I said okay and still got that dish, when it arrived I picked the chicken out and it was not even close to half the meal. I was disappointed that I was lied to, really to make her job easier. She also decided about 20 minutes in to our meal that we were ready to go and gave us Togo boxes without us asking. We were not done, we were asking for desert.
Brunch was nice here. Not many people. Mimosas were $3...very reasonable.
Food was outstanding, service was excellent other than a little slow to get food and drinks, servers were very friendly , I think maybe short staff caused the delays, places seem to be understaffed with Covid. Overall is was a great dinner.
They forgot our appetizer. Our food sat on the heat bar for 15 minutes before we got it.
Amazing food, awesome service and great experience
They are doing a good job with limited staffing.
Took my fiancé for a surprise dinner and decided on Kona. It was our second time coming and it was just as delicious as the first time! He loved his steak and drink he ordered and the sea bass I ordered was phenomenal! Our writer Antonio was attentive and had a great attitude. Highly recommend KG for any date night or special occasion!
Service was slow but food was outstanding.
Good meal...Service was suspect at first but the manager came and made it right🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Steak was delicious get the butter cake as dessert!!!
Super slow service. We have eaten here several times but never this bad of a service. Entree was cold since sat too long for waitress to bring out. Appetizer (calamari) was unsalted and not good at all. Disappointing.
Double date super nice but very loud music.
We had a 7:30 reservation and we’re seating pretty quickly, but no one came to take our order. After about 20 minutes the manager noticed and stopped to take our drink order, but we didn’t get those for another 20 minutes. Then we had at least four different servers throughout the night - I don’t think they knew who was supposed to be taking care of us. Overall we waited about 90 minutes for our entrees. It was not worth it and I will not be returning.
After a rough work day :)
I would not recommend at all. The only person who did good job was the manager
This was our first time trying Kona for brunch and it didn’t disappoint. My wife’s macadamia nut French toast were excellent. I had the all American and it was good as well but I might opt for something a little less traditional next time. Host or maybe he was the manager was very friendly and checked on us more than once. Corey our waiter was also very attentive and helpful with his menu suggestions. Very spacious restaurant and the decor has held up well over the years. We have probably been about 4 times overall and never had a bad meal. Price wise they aren’t cheap but you get what you pay for and they do offer some coupons and rewards through there website/app.will definitely continue to go back.
Loved the atmosphere and the customer service was top tier, the only thing was that my food was way over cooked, but other than that definitely recommend.
Sat on patio , servers were very attentive , manager came by the table to check on our table , staff friendly .
Such a disappointment and I never want to go back here. 1. Slow, in attentive service. 2. Slow bar, small pours. 3. Mediocre, overpriced food in tiny, overpriced proportions (did I mention overpriced???) 4. Loud, frenetic music that made us have to raise our voices to talk even in an almost empty restaurant.
Worst sushi I’ve ever had. Zero taste. Pieces so large no way to get one in your mouth without cutting it. Had to wait longer than expected for a plate and soy sauce after receiving food. Waitress told me not to order sushi I wanted, but to order different roll. I did and hated it. She didn’t even remove it from my bill. She was extremely rude any time we asked for anything. Made us pay before we even finished our meal. Will not be going back.
Great food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Love this place.
