I took my family and grandkids out to this establishment for what we thought would be a great meal and a good time. Unfortunately, we had a terrible time. The servers had attitudes and acted as if they would rather be somewhere else. She barely came over to check on us, refill our drinks or ask anything.
The food was overpriced greatly for the small portion of food that you received. It was just a horrible experience.
I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. I definitely would not bring my corporate clients here.
While the grilled salmon was absolutely fantastic, the $20, thin and frozen burger patties were less than desirable.
The food was amazing. All of it. I gave 4 stars because we sat right by the kitchen. I felt like my husband and I had to yell at each other just to talk. Other than the noise the atmosphere was nice. Service was pretty good. Our waiter was kind of slow getting our drinks, but the food came shortly after. I also noticed that he had several tables. We had the Sweet Chili Glaze Salmon and Macadamia Nut Chicken and the Key Lime Coconut Rum Cake for dessert. All of it was delicious! We had a reservation at 7, and left by 8. So service was pretty quick. We'll go back for sure.
Let me start off by saying the food tasted great! But our server messed up our orders, did not bring out one entire meal leading us to realize she never even put it in, then tried to charge for it after we said just don’t even bring it, then when asked to remove it from one ticket, she just moved it to someone else’s ticket! The food was $2 per item cheaper on the menu than it was on our actual food tickets! Her response “yeah apparently they’re passing out the wrong menus. Sorry!” Still had to pay the elevated price. When CC tickets were brought back, no pens were given in order to sign. It was an experience like no other! And we had a concert to get to that she almost made us late to. Reservations were made at 530 and concert wasn’t until 8 if that tells you how long we were there for. Like I said, food tasted great, but I doubt I would ever go back here!
Great restaurant, great food! The fried chicken sandwich is delicious...my absolute favorite... I have it every time we go! The manager is very nice and genuinely concerned that everyone has a positive experience. Will definitely return, and return, and return!!!
I live 1 hr and 15 mins awayFood is always amazing, restaurant is always clean, servers are nice and the manager on duty always comes to table to introduce themselves and always inquire about our service at the time. However, the server last night was not very attentive, took several minutes to take our order and there were only 4 tables occupied in the whole building and they had other servers. Other than that enjoyed it as always
As always, the food was delicious. Kitchen was a little slow. It took about an hour to get our entrees. Ordered a bread pudding to take home. It turned out to be a teeny tiny serving considering it cost $15. On a previous visit, we got the carrot cake and it was gigantic.
Jessica was amazing like always
Food is delicious as always. We went on a date on a Sunday. Barely anyone there. Good service as well!
My husband had the macadamia crusted chicken; he said it was really good. I had shrimp pad Thai that was really delicious.
Table was not ready when we arrived. Since it was not crowded we decided to sit in the bar area. After 40 minutes, got a drink. No one ever came back to see if we needed food or additional drinks. We left when we finished our drink. Over one hour in restaurant and only had the opportunity to order one drink.
Corey was great as a server Avacado rolls were great.
My family of 7 dined at Kona Grill on Christmas Eve. Even after technical difficulties with the water being shut off, they rallied and provided excellent service and food!
There was a family at the next table with a dog (emotional support?) but it was walking around on the table. The staff was just ignoring it.
From what we were told there were only 2 servers- so even though we arrived at 3:08 for our 3:30 reservation - we were not seated until well after 4.
Christmas Day Lunch, Santa would have been Happy to join us, 2:00 reservations, we arrived 15 minutes early, yes they were short staffed, 1 server and the Manager, we were seated by 2:30 and given Phenomenal Service, the Manager was all over the floor doing a Super Job, I had the Best Prime Rib Dinner, Hubby had Sweet Chili Salmon, oh so good, ended the meal with the Best Carrot Cake, Kudos to Kona Grill for the Best Meal in a relaxing atmosphere!
This was an anniversary lunch. The food was bland and the service was poor. I had to remind the waiter to bring the dessert. The salad was good and the dessert was good. Both entrees were poor. Went there on a recommendation and won’t go back.
We just had to wait a long time for our reserved table and for our server who was wonderful. Food excellent.
The restaurant has great potential but I guess from the pandemic and lack of good workers it was a fail for us. The waitress we had took forever to take our order, the first thing we ordered was a cocktail. Its took at least 20 minutes to receive it. We ordered a appetizer and it came before our drinks. It wasn’t completely the bartenders fault, we saw it sit for around 10 minutes on the bar before the waitress went to pick it up. When we finally got our main course that we shared, it was surf and turf, we got a sushi roll with it,. There was no chopsticks or plate , or soy sauce. We never saw our waitress for another 20 minutes, So I went to the Sushi bar myself and asked for help. I brought back a bottle of soy sauce myself. Meanwhile the waitress flew by and asked us if we wanted more drinks and we said yes. Another 15-20 we received it. This time we got a wrong drink that was so bad I could barely stand the taste. It was completely different than what we ordered before. When the waitress came we said it was the wrong drink, she started arguing with us! I’ve never seen anything like it. She actually yelled at us that we ordered a drink that we didn’t. She finally huffed and took it off the tab. One of the worst services I have encountered. And I eat out al lot.
The only reason I gave it any stars is the food is decent. Please find good workers Kona grill!
Good food, good drinks. The kitchen is spotty sometimes. Last time my wife and I went there, it took an hour for our food to come out. Other than than, good vibes.
Was not crowded but had to wait. Very good service and food was good.
Took 45 minutes to get a waiter to take our drink/food orders and another 45 to get our food. Tables had old food plates everywhere since nobody was cleaning tables. Poor waiter had to clean and wrap silverware since they didn't have any when they brought our food out. Not enough staff. Pay your workers more so you can serve guests.
I've been here a couple times and it just is disappointing. I guess I have bad luck with this place because every time I go there's an issue. Waiting 25min for a table despite having a reservation. Waiting 20 minutes to even get a server last time. Food takes 55 minutes to be made and is cold by the time I get it. If I'm paying $30+ for a main dish, I would hope it's at least warm. I tried giving this place a chance by for the price of the meal and the service that I have received each time, I would rather go elsewhere.
One of the worst experiences I had in a while, would suggest visitors to choose one of the other restaurants in that Bridge Street shopping area.
Great experience at Kona Grill! Service was fast and friendly. Food was great!!
Ordered chicken pad thai it had no chicken and was not tasty at all. Had to send back just ate a California roll and left. The server Tatiana was amazing though.
It was probably busier than they planned on for that time of day (4:30pm). They seemed a bit slow, up front. And, though it was early in the evening, they were already out of the sea bass we had hoped to order.
Everyone was fantastic and they made my 14 year old daughter birthday amazing!!
Rice was half cooked. sushi had no seasoning/taste. many items on the menu were unavailable
The food was decent but, they played music that should have been reserved for a nightclub. They had a Cardi B song on their playlist that featured words like sh*t bit*h and nig*er. I would not recommend this place to anyone with kids.
The food was delicious. The waiter Gary was very helpful. We will definitely be back
good food, nice service. Not a long wait for our party.
Decent overall experience. Food was tasty. Negative on waiting 25 minutes to be seating even though I had a reservation… and then being seated in “first come first serve” seating.
Friday night !
My husband and I have been disappointed each time we come here and we decided to give it one last chance since we enjoy their sushi. They were out of almost everything on the happy hour menu, and only had one red wine available despite the many choices on the menu. This is not a one off - it has happened almost every time we come here. We wait on average for 30 minutes to get our drinks each time we come here as well for various reasons - this time it was because they were out of everything but had to check with the bar each time before confirming. We decided to leave after our appetizer and go to a different restaurant. We will not be coming back.
Really enjoyed our dinner. We got to Kona Grill during the decided second OT of the Alabama / Auburn game so it was a bit noisy (not annoyingly so) but quieted as soon as the game was over. Alabama won- ROLL TIDE!
Had prime rib sandwich w chips. Some chips were fine, others were rancid. After a really rancid chip, I wouldn’t eat anymore. Waiter was slow to refill drinks and clear dirty dishes - though I’m more tolerant of that because lack of wait-staff. Used the women’s restroom and one of the toilets had no seat so had to “hover”.
Food was raw, took forever and had zero flavor. Got 2 meals wrong!
First time at Kona Grill and it was an enjoyable experience. The food was tasty and the staff was polite and helpful. We will definitely return!
