Great food and service; even music selections! The only thing was that the music volume was entirely TOO loud. I couldn't concentrate on reading the menu and I had to literally scream to talk to with my family, the people I was dinning with. It literally felt like we were in a night club! Just turn the music down a few notches!!
Both of the main entrees (Filet and Prime Rib) were small, undercooked and poor quality meat. The $33 Filet was absolutely tiny, nowhere near 8 oz. as advertised. The $33 Prime Rib was way undercooked, fatty, grisly and mostly inedible. The Avocado Egg Rolls and California Rolls were excellent and reasonably priced. We should have stopped after appetizers. Drinks (Watermelon Margarita and Bloody Mary) were excellent but slow to arrive.
It was great place for dinner and I was very much pleased!!
Was great. Just ran out of the lobster which me and my wife was looking forward too.
Alway great food and service
I went for the advertised Mother’s Day brunch and it was a total sh*t show. They were out of 1/3 of their menu items by 10am, the bartender couldn’t figure out the difference between orange juice mimosas and watermelon. They were out of coffee cups with only 5 tables seated. Coffee which was full of coffee grounds was given to us in a to go cup. The crab Benedict had little to no crab or hollandaise and the poached eggs weren’t full eggs, just the left over egg white. To make matters worse, the manager told us to our faces that we were wrong about the eggs and when he was shown they were in fact not full eggs, his response was “that’s weird”. Eventually most things got fixed but ultimately either the manager was not prepared or just didn’t know what he was doing.
I have had lunch and dinner at Kona Grill on numerous occasions and it is always fantastic. I was excited to take my mother for brunch on Mother’s Day. However, the food was underwhelming and they were out of a lot of the items on the already limited menu. It was a disappointing experience.
First date night since the pandemic started - thank you, vaccines! - and it was a lovely time. Everything was great and we had a wonderful night out. We have been very cautious to avoid covid, and appreciated how they keep the tables distanced and walled off from others. Also appreciated that the service staff was masked. Would return again!
We went for our prom dinner and I loved it there, the noise was a little loud and could hardly hear what people were saying, other than that the food and service was amazing.
Staff was especially accommodating. My reservation was for 4, but 3 more grandkids wanted to come. Our server was excellent!!! Food was terrific. Awesome experience.
The food was good and the service was great.
Kona Grill did not fail. Great flavor, great service, great atmosphere. Food arrive a little cool. I did not complain- we’re in Covid - lucky to have great service and great flavor!
Will be back
Worst service I have ever experienced. It took over an hour to get our food. The restaurant was not busy, so I have no idea why our food took so long to prepare. Also, Kona decided that a computer restart was a good idea right in the middle of the lunch hour, which caused or party to wait even longer to receive our checks. Needless to say, I will not be returning.
We apologize for your experience while dinning with us. Unfortunately, we experienced technical difficulties with our computer system (system crashed which forced us to restart the system and unfortunately just an issue all computers face as some point). We deeply apologize that this happened while you were dinning with us and we truly hope you give us another opportunity to prove our true level of service.
Everything was good. And I plan on going back in the future. It’s a perfect place for a date night.
I cannot recall our server, but she was good, the atmosphere was comforting. The noise was energetic, but not loud. The selection of music had a good variation of genre. The food was amazing. One of the best steaks I have had in a very long time. We will definitely be eating here again.
Great will definitely go again very impressed only tiny issue of not sure about what good drinks to order may stick to wine
Great atmosphere and food! Was our first time eating here and will be back.
Travis was our waiter and he was fantastic. He made sure we had everything we needed and was always checking on us. The manager Giovanni also made sure our dining experience was top notch. Kona Grill has a great staff and you can tell they enjoy what they’re doing. I will definitely be going back. Overall fantastic experience.
Avocado eggroll are absolutely amazing.
The food wasn’t bad and the service was good, but the portion sizes are way too small for the prices charged.
We went on Easter Sunday. Our server had a family emergency and had to leave. The new server basically forgot about us. We couldn’t get our drinks refilled. Our food was lukewarm when it arrived. My daughter ordered Lemongrass Clam Chowder and it was like the woodiest chowder I’ve ever seen. You couldn’t even chew through the lemongrass pieces and there were A LOT. Her sushi was just okay. I had the lettuce wraps and it was okay, but it was cold. My husband enjoyed his chicken. We waited for 30 minutes to get our bill. The manager ended up give us 20% off, which at least made the prices reasonable. We will not go back. It was too pricey for what we got and the service was subpar.
Don’t come here unless you want to spend 2 hours waiting on your food! But then, not all of your food arrives and you have to wait even longer. What makes it even better, it was my son’s food that didn’t make it. I would only come back to this place if I was with some friends having some drinks and not in a hurry to go somewhere else. Definitely only a place if you have A LOT of time to kill!
Came in at 8:30pm sat down indefinitely and then waited nearly 20 for a server to come to our table, 4 kids meals, some coconut shrimp roll and a flat bread. Kids meals came about about 30 minutes later the flat bread and our sushi came out about 15 minutes after that. The server was flustered and the manager was busy on his cell phone just hanging out. The bill was double what it should’ve been then we were charged an extra $20 for someone else’s tab. The food was lukewarm and the sushi tasted horrible. We just moved from Boise, Idaho and Kona Grill was a favorite but this one here was an absolute joke. Don’t waste your time.
This place is busy but overall, the food was really good!!! Had an amazing time.
Very disappointed in our meal. Haven’t been in awhile and not sure we’ll go back. Although our server was attentive, service was very slow to get drinks and food. The food was good but the place was very loud. All in all, not a great experience.
excellent customer service, great food.............
Thank You so Much SoniaB for the 5 stars and kind words! We hope to see you again very soon!
Family dinner after church with home-away-from-home college students. Food was fantastic!
Order was wrong. Very little sushi. All rice and Mayo.
TAKES FOREVER TO GET DRINKS! I’ve been coming here for over a year now and it’s the same every time. When you go order drinks immediately so you can get it when your meal comes. The food is alway good. Servers are really nice.
Food was good, music was great, but our service was very poor. If I went back I would make sure I got a different server for sure.
Service was stellar! Food is always consistent. Recommended.
Way overpriced. 32$ sea bass was OK, fried rice was OK, veggies were not cleaned and super salty. Calamari was OK. Final price for two: 80$+ and we didnt even order drinks. Not going back
Food was just so so; cost was way too expensive for lunch.
Another good meal at the Kona. Have been severally times and have not been disappointed. Good food, great service.
We were sat promptly but then were ignored for over 20 minutes until I finally got someone’s attention. I say ignored because we were sat in front of the servers station in the kitchen area and multiple servers looked at our table several times and had to notice we hadn’t been served but didn’t help. One even looked away when I tried to get their attention. With 3 little kids that’s frustrating.
Once we got a server things moved okay. I had the pad Thai which was good but didn’t taste like any pad Thai I’d had before, and I’d say was mild, only the actual chicken had any real flavor. Not bad just not great.
Not worth the price. Very slow service. They have no idea what medium versus rare means in regards to steak! Awful experience!
We always enjoy eating at Kona. Service is sometimes slow, but the servers are great, and we love the atmosphere.
We went to celebrate my son's birthday. We were taken to our table and waited for our waiter. We ordered appetizers and main dishes. The appetizers arrived after I saw them in the warming lamp for a while. We had food but no plates or silverware. Suddenly, the main dishes came in and we still did not have the plates for the appetizers or silverware. After watching our food for a while, they finally brought up the silverware and after a while the plates for the appetizers when they were no longer needed. Definitely, the servers need some training. The chicken satay was rubbery and the sea bass was overcooked. For the amount of money that they charge they could at least provide some bread and butter while we wait for the food. It was not worth what we got for the money I paid.
It was our first time going, we were skeptical but the food was delicious!!
We're understaffed waited 48 minutes get drinks appetizers, restaurant was less half full my food and others at our table of 8 got cold food. Been to Kona grill at bridge street in past was always good my trip Sunday night left much to be desired, really disappointed as I chose it as my birthday dinner.
