Our server Tanisha was exceptional from start to finish. Kitchen timing was very bad w entrees not coming out together and they made the bday girls item wrong twice. Managers were horrible … older short manager roaming around doing nothing while we sat w no server for almost 10 minutes … Tanisha came to help she was the only one who acknowledged us but we were not her assigned table. Female manager came out to supposedly apologize about bday girls food wrong twice but never apologized and spoke only to my 14 year old daughter -had no eye contact with any other adults at the table … and was visibly uncomfortable doing her job. Everyone at our table has been a server manager or bartender and it was crystal clear management is this place was AWFUL! They should be thankful Tanisha is so good at her job or party of 6 may have walked out mid meal … didn’t want to do that to a great server … but we won’t be back to this horrible restaurant .

Food was really disappointing, service was fair but really didn’t do much to accommodate undercooked food. They tried to reheat plate vs preparing a new dish and ended up drying out everything. Used to enjoy Kona but quality definitely isn’t what it used to be.

We came here for the steak pre fixe dinner. It was enjoyable. The salad was delicious.

Felt like I was eating in fast food restaurant. Also very questionable on the cleanliness of tables (was told they were clean but sticky from sun melting the finish). Also ordered regular edamame and found fire hot edamame mixed in. Would not recommend.

Service was great. Unfortunately, the food was overpriced and subpar. My daughter said her steak “tasted like feet smell”. When my sea bass sliders came out, almost cleared the table they were so overpoweringly fishy. My other daughter’s meal also came out way ahead of everyone else’s, kitchen timing definitely off. So disappointed, as this chain used to be consistently good but this is my second underwhelming experience at this location, will not be back for a third try.

Was way, way overpriced and the 80's beat . music didn't help either. At 6:30 on a Friday night the place was empty. No need for a reservation. The food was very pricey and lack luster at best. The menu was way to expensive, so maybe that's why the food was just ok. No real focus on any type of Hawaii food, so the Kona grill is just a name. I have been to all the Hawaii islands and I am assure you there are no restaurants like this, well maybe I'm name at one of the big hotel chains. Left hungry at over a $100 dollars. To be honest we have eaten at the Keg next store and though even pricer we left feeling we got our money's worth. Also the night before we ate at the islands bar and grill and the food was better and it was more Hawaii than Kona . Also half the price.
