Disappointing meal at Komodo. We had their speciality steak and duck along with others and it was really average. Waitress could have been working at Wendy and with a $300 spend per person it really was a let down
The food was good. The server was very nice.
I grew up in Asian and tried a lot of Chinese food. I know what is good and what is normal. I’ll review what I tried at Komodo.
1. The beef dumplings: maybe the waygu beef is expensive but the dish is not that good. I cannot taste any different with the normal beef dumplings outside, even the frozen dumplings still have the same taste...
2. Heart of palms salad: it’s close to some kinda of Asian salad but no way to compare to the authentic ones. Kinda Americanize already.
3. Peeking Duck: standard good. The skin was crispy. The meat is sweet. Tasty. You can have this good duck at some Chinese restaurant with a decent price for the same quality. The pancakes go with the duck is great.
I’m not happy about the quality at this price.
By the way, the service here is a plus. They are friendly and fast.
The decoration is cool. I think people don’t see many places have this style of decoration in America, but in Vietnam, a lot of normal coffee shops have this style.
So if you are Asian or Vietnamese and want to eat good food, this is not your place. This place I feel like it’s for American for some fancy first couple dates. Other than that, not a place to eat if you are a foodie.
Absolutely fabulous restaurant . Set over three levels , the decor is stunning . All servers were attentive , polite and had a great sense of humour .
We had a booth table for 4 of us which was very cosy . The menu offers a huge range of delicious meals and the portions are very generous. The chicken salad was really tasty and large . We also tried the dragon roll and lobster sushi which were amazing but the Peking duck was the best we had ever tasted .
Well worth the 30 min drive from Sunny isles beach . We will definitely return
My new favorite spot in Brickell Miami ... just needs to fix the long line system
Nous avons dû attendre 1h30 pour notre table
Way too expensive, barely get any food. My bill was 300 + for 2 people to give you an idea
I visited for my birthday and the ambience was nice but the food was not to my taste.
Food was amazing! 10/10 would recommend the Wagyu.
Amazing, food was great!
Restaurant was very clean, it was very nice, food and service was spectacular, it is pricey but totally worth it
We went on a Monday night , so it was slow but that didn’t take away from how good the food was , specifically the duck. It’s a must have.
Awesome food and service !
Had brunch to wrap up birthday weekend celebration and it was just awesome. Nicole our server was attentive to us and her recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious, can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu.
Great service and hospitality. The decor and ambiance are top notch. The house drinks were amazing and they played great music all night.
Had the reservation for 10pm, but didn’t get to our table until 11pm. Place was very busy, but where we sat was nice.
Excellent service! The only problem is that they no longer have the cloud nine dessert!
A must in Miami! Great food and ambiance . Staff was friendly
Great food in a beautiful space. One of my favorite restaurants.
I was really disappointed with the service I ordered grilled octopus never got it to the table and I also ordered a side salad and never got it to the table I don’t know the service was awful
Dining at Komodo was AMAZING! The food was delicious, the costumer service was impeccable. Starting with our waitress, Estefany. She was warm, friendly, and even provided additional light from her phone to take pictures of our table. We dined inside but took a walk outside and on the second floor. There we met Brandon and another waitress who took their time to assist us with more picture taking lol. It's as if part of their training was learning how to take phenomenal pictures! I had the Korean fried chicken and grilled corn- to die for. Someone else at the table had the crab lo mein- my only complaint was I wanted more lol. This was my first time here and I will definitely go back. Even visited the lounge upstairs and had a blast dancing. This is a great spot for dinner and the music in the restaurant 👍.
Love this place, creative, delicious food in a beautifully decorated place, perfect for any event, special celebration or just a night out with friends, 100% recommended.
Fancy, lindo con muy buena comida. Pedir pato pekin
Food was good but too expensive for the price. Server was great, but hostess was terrible.
We came for my birthday on a Monday night and did not receive the treatment I have been accustomed to receiving when dining at Komodo. Was very disappointed with the service and timely manner in which the food was brought out.
Great amposphere and food (Wagyu Tacos is a must)...recommend trying the Bonzai Bunny which is a sparkling sake
I tried this place based on their favorable reviews and the fact that it was very close to the Mandarin Oriental where I was staying. Food was okay, but it was the service that really dragged down the experience for us. It was both slow and confusing. We tried ordering sushi but were cautioned not to order too much or we'd get too full. Then our waitress came and asked if we would be ordering duck? No, we wanted sushi. After a 2nd request, we got the sushi menu and it was really just nigiri and sashimi.
We went with some nigiri and the portions were very small (8 little pieces on one small plate was about $90). We got a couple more rolls from the main menu and the most filling part of the whole meal was probably their dessert, which was good. But for spending $450 on just three people, we shouldn't be leaving hungry. The next night we had a very fun and very filling meal at "Dolores but you can call me Lolita." I will go back there in a minute, but my first trip to Komodo is definitely my last. Way too expensive for what you get.
We honestly had a great time. The appetizers and the food all came out amazing. I had the people to drink which was very delicious. I loved all of it except We had a reservation and there was literally only one other couple outside and they sat us right next to them. But everything else was great. The service was amazing the food was delicious I would definitely recommend
Ambiente agradable buena comida y buena música
Great food, great service, and amazing DJ every time. I usually order the duck, seabass skewers, and the garlic king crab lo mein. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. My only complaint is my last visit the drinks were definitely watered down.
By far one of the best spots in Miami! The cocktails were unreal and food was just to die for.
Absolutely a wonderful experience. We tried 5 dishes plus the Peking duck. Everything was very well flavored and perfectly cooked. Loved the Cod, blood orange dumplings, the ribs and Peking duck were favorites! The staff was superb! The drinks were delicious, great atmosphere, a bit busy for my taste.
Amazing food as always outstanding service and overall a great time
Hellooooo Komodooooooo. Just yum. The ambiance and decor was beautiful. Came here on a Saturday, was so hungry, and they took care of us right away. The mini tacos, mushroom starters stood out. Ordered two sushi rolls which were delicious (a little small) but tasty nonetheless. Would definitely recommend and will be back for sure.
The Peking duck was amazing!
We had such a great evening. The waiter was top notch. He started off recommending his favorite cocktails, then helped us choose our appetizer. Everything was delicious.
The Thai beef jerky & sea bass were on point. I’m going to come back next time I’m in town ! Loved it.
