Beautiful inside and outside sittings, party atmosphere, loud music, dim lights. Not big fan of menu...Don’t get me wrong presentation is excellent, just not the gourmet. Highly recommend for special occasions ones in a while, but if you are a big picky foodie, I don’t think it will be your number one choice
Love the food but the service is subpar.
We were seated an hour after our reservation. The place was a mob scene. Won’t be back
We went to Komodo for my birthday. We had an issue getting seated somewhere socially distance. The table they wanted to give us was a hightop next to other people and had uncomfortable chairs. And when we asked to change tables, they said there was nothing they could do. So we decided to leave, but as we were leaving, they then told us they a different table we could see that. Not sure why it wasn’t offered initially. The hostess never even said she had spoken to the manager. She just said “come with me”. Very odd behavior.
As for the food, it was all very good. The shrimp dumplings were delicious, as was the Komodo roll, as were the wagyu tacos. My only note is that the Szechuan beef was perhaps slightly overcooked. We had requested medium and it was more medium well.
The restaurant is very good, as I mentioned, but it is very expensive. Worth going once in a while.
Great environment for dinner. The Peking Duck did not disappoint. Cant wait to return.
Really disappointing low quality food.
A weird staff dynamic. There’s a bunch of macho types acting as if they’re in hot night club. It’s really quite amazing that they able to keep the place open.
Delicious the food was out of this planet I had all types of plates the yellowtail sushi roll, the chicken salad the sishito peppers, the desserts were amazing 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Lo súper recomiendo y lo q es con trufas lo mejor
Good atmosphere, with good music and delicious food
Amazing experience :)
I’ve heard great things but the food, service, and ambiance exceeded my expectations. There’s a lot of trendy expensive places to eat in Miami and I’m happy to say this one is one of the few that’s worth it!
The wait was longer than promised by about 30 min but the experience was well worth it.
Todo estubo genial superó todas mis espectativas
Amazing food and great service from all the staff :)
The service was fantastic and all of the waiters were always attentive. The drinks were on point and the food was excellent.
Ask for Nicole. She is the best and sweetest waitress!
Waiter was amazing and the food was good. I made a reservation a month in advance and still had to wait 15mins to be seated. Then I was seated inside next to a bunch of random people. When I asked for outside seating. I complained to the hostess again then we finally got moved. Food is worth it and just try to go on a non so busy time lol
Our server was so rude and ignored us the entire dinner
BUENA COMIDA, BUEN AMBIENTE , RELACION CALIDAD-PRECIO POCO ELEVADO
Our table was placed on a balcony on the third floor when we requested an inside table. We notice that the tables in our section were the only one in the restaurant with a wicker barstool like chair that was very uncomfortable. Every other chair in the restaurant had a cushion on it. We ask our sever for help to change the table but his response was that there was nothing he could do. The overall service was from our server was poor at best. He basically never came back. We were on a birthday and wanted to order more drinks and champagne but he never came back. We asked him twice to fix our unbalanced rocking table we had but he never did. I imagine the zero tip got his attention when we left
Food and ambiance level up with each other which is extremely rare. Usually its only one or the other. I've eaten here well over a dozen times. Top food items (in my opinion) are the duck (what they're known for and a must try), the lobster dynamite (!!!!!), the spare ribs, komodo chicken salad, and the duck lettuce wraps.
A1-Always a great time when we go.
Great vibe. Service (waiter) was excellent. The issue was we had reservations at another location we need to be at after dinner. But it took over 30 minutes to get seated after our reserved seating time. This seems like a common problem here. The waiter expedited our food and gave us good recommendations on apps to get fast (see bass skewers, tacos, wagyu dumplings) but unfortunately couldn’t finish some as we had to leave.
It’s not the worst thing ever, but when a restaurant requires a credit card and had a financial penalty for missing your reservation, they have an obligation to seat you close to the time you book. We arranged our night around it and for the price you pay they should have some respect for that.
Great! Loved the restaurant-will definitely go back!
Violating codes left and right..our tables were so close together that I banged into the person behind me every time I moved in my seat..loud, terrible service, police arrived at the end of the meal because they were violating the code..not returning back anytime soon..
The food, drinks and service was amazing.
The duck there is AMAZING as is the ambiance.
Amazing food, had a great time
Komodo is first and foremost desirable due to its atmosphere. Great music, beautiful design, and delicious food keep it packed almost every day. The food is very good but it is very expensive, especially considering the portions (large plates being the exception to this).
My main complaint was the hostess staff ( Angela), who was incredibly rude to all members of our party in trying to accommodate a group reservation of 6. Once we were actually able to communicate with a manager he was incredibly helpful and was able to seat us all together. Our waiter was outstanding and he went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable. The issue was getting to the manager and our server. When we called over the phone to confirm reservations, make changes, or try to update our party size we were told that it couldn't be done, no upper management was available to help us, and there was no way to leave a message for management to call us back. I have worked in restaurants and never heard of this kind of service.
The fact of the matter is that when you are talking about upscale dining, you MUST have INCREDIBLE customer service. The manager was wonderful but the hostess staff was rude, disrespectful, and went out of their way to obstruct our ability to reach management. Front of the house staff is key, they are the first faces that your customers meet and set the tone for the dining experience. It is unacceptable for them to treat customers so rudely before they even get through the door.
Great seat downstairs in the mix of the party. Amazing food and drinks! Can’t wait to go back!
We had eaten here a year ago, have to say the food quality has gone down by a lot.
The atmosphere is super nice.. I'm guessing the clientele has shifted from high powered professionals to college students... as such, it's more about the ambiance and alcohol than it is about the food.
Reservations were at 9 got seated around 10:50 very disappointed. Front staff not friendly at all my friend had reservation at 10:30 and got their table before us and when I told the front that people after us are getting seated she said no that’s not happening!
The wine list was not updated with the correct vintages on multiple bottles. Great meal overall.
As always incredible dining experience! We felt completely safe and were seated outside upstairs and as always the servers very professional. Have dined many times at Komodo and will continue going back very often!
Sat outside on Christmas which was freezing. The heaters were brand new and reeked of plastic which made our food stink and it was un-enjoyable
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WILL NEVER GO BACK, BY FAR WORST RESTAURANT IN MIAMI
One of the best venues in Mary Brickell! A must try when you are in Miami!
Great place , great food ! Totally recommended ....
Great place, great music. The duck was amazing
