About this restaurant

Originating on a taco truck in Tijuana, Kokopelli made the leap to Chicago serving a menu of seafood and vegetable tacos under the watchful eye of Chef Guillermo "Oso" Campos Moreno. Kokopelli's unique Mexican offerings include such favorites as the kraken, a taco with grilled octopus and cheese, avocado in a cilantro marinade, a slate of four custom salsas provide a unique complement to each taco on the menu.In addition to tacos, Kokopelli also cooks up options including seviches, tostadas and three guacamoles. Its drink menu pairs the expected margaritas and Mexican beers with custom cocktails and a selection of whiskey and bourbons. While its Hopi-god namesake may have been a trickster, Kokopelli Taqueria brings nothing but treats to its upscale Wicker Park location.
