We showed up and spent a considerable amount of money!!!
Why did you send me an email telling me that I missed the reservation?

Was running late and called to tell them so. Restaurant was 70% empty!!

This is getting monotonous and time wasting.

Please confirm that I was there, and please email me to that effect.

If this continues, I can go back to the old fashioned way of making reservations!!!

Thankyou!

I rarely if ever give 5 stars. In this case I had no choice, everything is literally that good at Koi! Ask for Seth he is absolutely priceless. Incredible service, great “bed side manner” and completes the experience perfectly.

All other servers are excellent as well!! Expensive BUT value is tremendous.

This was my first time at Koi and I had a superb time there. The food was above average and their specialty dishes were very tasty. They also had amazing service. My server was always around when I needed her. The only bad thing I have to say about this dining experience was my order of Yuzu. Most sushi places I went too never charged me for Yuzu. If your spending $600 for 4 people, I think they couldve just gave me that on the house. Honestly, I dont mind getting charged for it but if you are charging me at least make it worth the value. They literally put tiny drops of yuzu and I'm not even exaggerating when I say they put few drops. Overall Koi was good but a little letdown at the end.

Came here for my birthday dinner. Received horrible service from our waiter but the general manager made a big effort to fix our experience. The restaurant was beautiful and we all liked the food.

I have been coming to Koi for many years when I visit LA. It never disappoints! Service and food was amazing. The crispy rice with spicy tuna is my all time favorite!

Joey our waiter was exceptional! He was full of suggestions and guided us towards ordering the right amount of food for all of us. Since we’re not from LA we won’t be back for a while, but we plan on returning next time we’re on the west coast. Lychee margaritas- YUM!

We were taken care of with great attention. I am slightly disabled and they were extra special with their guidance. The food was exceptional. They have a very varied menu with choices of delicious sushi as well as traditional food. We had a vegetarian with us and she was able to find some interesting options. Try their butterscotch pudding for dessert---the memory of it still makes me smile.

Koi is one of our favorites. Everything is prepared perfectly, and the service was outstanding. Some of my guests enjoyed hot food, and the black Cod was one of the best we have ever tasted. Several of us had sushi, and everything was a cut above (pun not intended). From the baby yellowtail sashimi to the spicy tuna on crispy rice, everthing is extraordinary. Even the California roll was special and delicious. Cocktails were excellent, and we had a wonderful dinner. The patio was quiet enough where we could actually have a conversation. How novel.
Looking forward to an excuse to go back.

Food was fresh and tasty! Bass roll was mostly rice, next time I would pass on that but everything else was great! Restaurant is very dark, beyond intimate, makes you want to fall a sleep. Just a little more light would help!

Although the food was tasty, it is quit expensive for what you get. The setting is very dark, but its quit and romantic. Its a good place to go on a special occasion, but not every night. Dinner for two, with one drink each was $175.

The food was excellent. Very fresh fish and lovely presentation. The drinks are mediocre (it was the sweetest Old Fashioned I've ever had). The service, however is a problem. Our waiter basically ignored us the entire evening. While plenty of people were on hand to pick up our empty dishes, our waiter didn't stop by ONCE to ask how we were doing, what else we might like, etc. At one point the maître d' just so happened to swing by our table to check in, and we told him that we hadn't seen our waiter in 30 minutes. He brought over the management - one of the managers was very nice, the other yelled at us. It was so odd. I will never return. They comped us 4 cocktails after being yelled at.

First time at Koi whilst visiting from Dubai. We often travel to LA and whilst in LA, we dine out every night. We were on a 10 day visit this time and Koi was one of the best dinners we had overall. Food was great and the service by our waitress was excellent but unfortunately I cannot remember her name. For sure will be back again ...

I had an amazing dinner for my boyfriend's birthday! The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was great! We were seated immediately, had fantastic drinks and tried some our server's appetizer & roll recommendations, which were sooooo good! The desert (flourless chocolate lava cake) was to die for! This was my boyfriend's first time at Koi and he absolutely LOVED it! The evening went fabulously & we both will be back.
