Koi - New York
Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.

I was having lunch with the priest that married my husband and I 37 years ago. Also, Monsignor Robert Ritchie has been the Rector at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and on May 29th he will be celebrating 50 years of priesthood. I now live in Florida and was celebrating him with his favorite food, Japanese.
It was the first time for him and he was so happy and enjoyed all of Koi great cuisine. I posted some great photos on my social media.
Service and food was outstanding as always,
Very nice, just a bit too pricey
Outstanding quality of food and service as usual. Will come over.
Always and incredible experience. The food is amazing!!
Our server and the food was great. It was our elopement night dinner and the restaurant did absolutely NOTHING to congratulate us or acknowledge the special occasion. Rather the maitre d told us we had 4 mins left before the kitchen closed and then took us to a dirty table. He also "cleaned" our table with a cloth only; no disinfectant spray or wipe or anything, so I'm not sure they are following COVID guidelines very safely or regularly.
From the time we arrived to the minute we left, the experience exceeded expectations.
Amazing servers, food wasn’t great.
good food but overpriced
The fried rice appetizer is to die for omg
The sushi was great, as was the service. They don't have a huge menu, but they have everything you need and entrees as well. Nice atmosphere and service.
Excellent service and food was phenomenal. Highly recommend.
We arrived 30 minutes early and they were able to seat us. Our waiter was very considerate and helpful. He charged my friend’s phone for her while we were eating. We ordered the sushi which comes with 8 cut pieces. It was delicious and satisfied our sushi craving. The restaurant is located across Bryant Park in the hotel, so afterwards you can enjoy walking through the park. Would definitely go again!
Staff attentive and very respectful of current restrictions.
Great culinary experience
The service was excellent! We were seated after getting our temperature checked and our information was taken. Great table server was attentive. Everything came out in a timely fashion. Food was great and there specialty drinks were great. All in all we had a great experience. They def haven’t lost their touch. Can’t wait to go back.
This is our second meal at Koi over the past few months and it just continues to be incredible. The quality of the food and the sushi is incredible and the atmosphere and service are terrific. Highly recommend.
Great food and amazing service. Everyone was really nice.
This is the second time I have been here in a month. Excellent shared plates!
The food is delicious but of course pricey. I think the staff might have been overwhelmed .
Amazing in all respects. Still my favorite pan-Asian restaurant in NYC!
I was super excited to get back to Koi after COVID shut them down. Their menu is limited, but the food did not disappoint and the service was perfect and on point. Glad to have them back in business.
The service was great and there was enough distance between the seats for safe social distancing
Food was spectacular! The sushi tacos were just the right level of spice, crispy rice is very yummy and the salmon carpaccio is to die for! The Shared plates are the way too go
Overall, very positive experience: nice ambience, good service, delicious food. Wine selection was a little bit of an issue but at the end we were able to find a good bottle of wine.
Always love everyone at Koi. Iftikar the manager is a gem. Happy to see them back open. Don’t miss out.
A real let down in terms of price and quality! Under staffed and deserted!
Simply the best & so happy they’re open & surviving the pandemic economic crisis
Food was delicious and the background music was great. We had a really good time.
Just so damn happy that Koi is open again!! First weekend back and it was as good as ever. Cheers to the staff that made us all feel comfortable and safe!!
Great food and amazing atmosphere
As always we enjoy the ambiance and great food, the staff is exceptional. I have been coming to celebrate my daughters birthday here. She loves coming here for her birthday this is the 4th year we have celebrated her birthday at Koi
The food has been better
The host was rude and provided poor service. Will not return.
Very nice ambiance, food tasted so amazing and service was excellent!
This is the fourth or fifth time coming here...food quality seems to have fallen from the previous years. But the pricing has seriously increased. My wife and I had shared plates and two rolls...bill came out to over 400$. I did have two moderately expensive scotch's but even without that 4 shared plates and two rolls should not be over 330$
I don't believe we will be back....
Food was amazing and service was amazing. We will definitely come back soon
Great service great food
Service was excellent, Food was very well prepared, tasty, and beautifully plated. Enough space so you are not cheek to jowl to the next tables, in a nice high vaulted space. Cocktails were well made, and generous. Only minor issue is the noise levels due to the high ceilings. You can't have it all.
Felt like the food wasn’t the freshest.
