Koi - New York
Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.
Way too noisy. And, I reserved a counter seat and was told none were available when I arrived at my reserved time.
The food here was absolutely delicious, as were the cocktails. Our waiter made excellent recommendations, and we enjoyed every dish! Wished it were less noisy, but it's a popular place with an energetic crowd. Even early on a Tuesday evening, Koi was packed and buzzing. Highly recommended!
Date night with wife
Amazing food and service. Marcella was a fantastic server.
Tous les plats étaient de grande qualité, mais le tartare de saumon était réellement exceptionnel.
Really good food, the waiter recommended a few dishes to us and they didn't disappoint. Fresh and tasty food.
Awesome food and service.
Great food and service, but ridiculously expensive!
I love Koi, it is one of my favorite restaurants in New York, it can get loud though so be prepared to have to talk loud to be heard. The food is delicious!!
Great spot for a date night before Broadway! Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations. We loved everything we ordered!
Great food and service. A little loud for business discussion.
Excellent service was great and food. Ambiance was great 👍🏼
Great and fresh dishes, great choices but a bit pricy
One of our favorite go to places!
Loud, boisterous environment. Not good for business occasions. Excellent "Nobu"-like menu. Attentive service.
Incredibly noisy for a business dinner!
Not sure what you can do.
Great food and ambiance
Amazing sushi and crispy sushi rolls. Celiac friendly.
Excellent service and the food was amazing!! Definitely recommend the salmon carpaccio, very interesting mix of salmon, soya sauce and truffles.
the appetizers were outstanding. the avocado with truffle is a must have. the tuna with pate superbe
Went before 7:00 show. Service was outstanding...food was amazing! Will go again!
The host was super generous and kind! Everyone is super nice and the food is amazingly awesomeee
Friendly and attentive staff. From the front desk to the bar to main dining. Great cocktails. Great food.
Noisy, but that’s New York?
Food was delicious. The service was great - very attentive and offered suggestions.
Double tuna roll was great! And our server was very nice
Fantastic food with a wonderful ambiance and environment. Stellar staff and wonderful service. Would recommend this to any other friends and family.
I loved it but it’s expensive
Food is phenomenal. Fresh and creative sushi/sashimi. But seats in front too close to bustle of front door and pricey
loved the food as usual ! service was average. but would def go back :)
The restaurant is just ok. It’s based in a hotel. The food portions were extremely small for the cost, and the food was just ok. Excellent cocktail menu though and the waitress was really really nice.
Overall it’s just ehhh. Nothing to brag about. Doesn’t do it enough for me to put in to my rotation of restaurants to return to.
Great food, excellent ambiance and by far the best staff I've encountered. Very attentive and pleasant. Will definitely return to Koi.
Delighted by our evening at Koi. Food, service and ambiance was excellent.
Was an outstanding anniversary dinner everything was perfect and our server Noah was excellent.
The food was delicious. The server was attentive and provided suggestions. Would definitely recommend.
Koi is a great place for those who like traditional sushi as well as those who might like some interesting spins on sushi-style dishes. And the prices are very reasonable, particularly for NYC and so close to Times Square.
The tempura vegetables were sensational, so light and tender, not greasy at all. The traditional rolls were very fresh and well prepared, although I found that the tune in the spicy tuna roll was chopped a little too finely for my taste. It was more of a paste than chopped tuna. The crispy rice was also excellent. And the sashimi (we had tuna and salmon) were both very nice cuts and sliced into appropriate bites.
The service was not bad, but also nothing worthy of any great praise.
Overall, a very nice experience. I would return.
Always great food and service
Nice ambiance for a late night dinner. The decor is fun, the crowd a bit on the loud side. Menu is diverse, shared plates are the best way to start and their specialty rolls some of the best ones I've had. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it on occasion.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday!!! Was wonderful !
Went with four friends to dinner for a birthday celebration. Before I even had to ask about them singing to my friend they approached me and asked if I wanted anything done for her special day! They made it a very memorable night!
