We have been to Koi on numerous occasions and normally enjoy our experience. This was not one of them.
Began by staff member deciding to answer a call without first attending to his guest standing in front of him. We were ultimately seated by another staff member while the previous staff member remained on the phone.
Service was non existent unless you were the seated at the table of 6. Food was slow to come out and server blamed it on kitchen. Oddly enough another table of 2 seated next to us was experiencing similar If not worse service than we received. Anyway just a really bad night for Koi and a birthday dinner for my wife that was memorable for all the wrong reasons. We will probably go back because we do like the food but it will definitely be a while.
Amazing service and great food! Highly recommended
We overall had a great experience at Koi, the service and the food was fantastic. The seating was ok, but it was good given the current circumstances of COVID. We definitely would go back another time!
Surprised my boyfriend here for dinner and he enjoyed the food and service. The waiter was sympathetic and patient with us. I would recommend coming here.
Amazing service, great food, one of my favorite restaurants!
Good food and service. Ambiance was good as well.
First visit to a restaurant during Covid pandemic. Great food, great service. Tables were separated well and staff all had masks.
Tried this place out after they re-opened due to covid. Miso black cod was a great dish, the rest of the dishes including the sushi was mediocre. Service was pretty sad, I ordered a dish and asked to change it ONE MINUTE later, and was told by the waiter “I’m sorry I already put the order in.” What stupid service and restaurant doesn’t let you change your mind? He should have said - “yes I’ll change the order immediately.” Doubtful I’ll go back given the poor training of the servers.
Everything from the moment we walked in was outstanding. We have just found our favorite LA sushi place. We ran 20 minutes late due to PCH traffic and they still seated us right away. Our server was exceptional and the food was terrific.
