CHEF MOSATO IS THE ABSOLUE BEST!!! We ALWAYS reserve him because of his customer service and he always goes the extra mile to make sure that his guests are taken care of!!!

I always enjoy the atmosphere, food and fun at this restaurant. Easy to obtain a reservation and the wait staff and chefs are friendly and professional. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

I enjoyed it immensely. My favorite Hibachi place in the area. I am a fan of having noodles and rice which most Hibachi's do not serve.

It started out well. We met our neighbors for dinner - some of whom had never been to Kobe. We were sat as soon as everyone arrived (Party of 8 with 2 kids). Drinks were delivered timely as was the soup and salad. Several of us ordered our Filets Rare. Mine was Medium to Medium Well. Another person ordered Filet & Shrimp and got a small Filet but no Shrimp. When we complained, the Chef (Tai) said they were going to credit the no Shrimp with $7.00. As far as the over cooked Filet, the Chef said “Next time order it Black and Blue or Pittsburg style”. Next time? How about you cook it Rare like I requested this time? The Manager came by and I showed him the overcooked Filet. He said they would cook another one for me or I could take one home and cook it the way that I want. I declined because we were 3/4 through the meal. Also, I cook all week and don’t really want to go home from a restaurant and cook. I expect to get a properly cooked steak - especially at a “Steakhouse”. The tab for me and my husband was $110.00 which included an automatic 18% Gratuity. He got Chicken (which he said was also overcooked but he did not complain). I got Filet & Scallops (also overcooked and chewy) and we ordered a beer and 2 glasses of wine. We are decent, courteous diners and left an additional tip to bring the total gratuity to 20% which is what we normally do. I really don’t expect to go back or recommend Kobe in Brandon.

WE were celebrating birthday and anniversary and we do that at KOBE every year. It is the place that we enjoy everything the cooking, the food the service the location and the people. WE will be back in January next year to have our yearly meeting with friends from Lakeland, Fl. We live in Clearwater and will travel to Brandon to celebrate THANK YOU, Gary

It is always a lot of fun. I wish the chef interacted more but I guess since there were no children at our table, we didn't need it. Food was good but chicken was overcooked.

My family & I went to the restaurant to celebrate our mothers & brother's bday. Unfortunately we we're not impressed with the service or the food. We have been there a few years back & i feel it was better. They gave us a table that we barely fit & i had made a reservation in advance.

This visit was in honor of my Birthday by my daughter and family. The wait was not long at all. The food was delicious and our chef was clever and funny. We all enjoyed the evening.

I have been to many Kobe's and never had an issue. However, the service here was horrible. Drink refills were few and far between, always after I asked someone other than our elusive server. One of our parties orders was incorrect. At the end of the meal, the server just never returned. We took boxes off of the table near us, when their server brought them, and boxed our own food. I had to walk up to the host station to get my check and pay. The manager said they were giving me a discount, which they didn't when I saw the credit card charge. I was not given a receipt. The manager also took my name and rewards number and said he would add a credit for my next visit, that never happened either. The server finally came after the manager was there and proceeded to make excuses as to why we did not receive any service during our meal. All in all it was an absolutely horrid experience. I will not be back.

Beware....if you order the chicken teppenyaki meal, it is no longer all white meat breast chicken. We were told that they made the decision to serve dark thigh meat with the breast meat. 75/25 ratio. Said it improved flavor. No issue if you do not mind dark meat. My spouse does not and the surprise ruined her meal. They do not tell you this before ordering.

In our experience, the food has always been outstanding, however, I would like to see more veggies than both rice and noodles piled on our plates. Also, the space between tables was a little tighter than I remember, making it tough for the chefs to work.

Great food and the chef was amazing. The server could have been better but I think because we had 6 people she already was receiving her tip and didn't have to do a good job. In my opinion, that should be removed. That's like if I go to work and do nothing or very little and expect the same pay. Also, I normally tip more than the amount they charge but if I'm not given an option based on quality of service then I will not tip more. There needs to be a way to tip extra just to the chef or to the server. Instead, I was told they just half the tip. Overall a good experience just wish I would have had one of the other great servers. (We are a regular and never had any issues with any of the other servers. )

Extremely small food portions compared to previous visits. Chef was not as enthusiastic or entertaining as usual. We did not enjoy ourselves like we usually do we when visit. I have noticed a decline in quality in recent visits.

Kobes is a great place to go with a group of people for a birthday or special occassion. But remember you are paying for the chef to cook your food in front of you, and to interact. The food is good, but nothing great or fabulous. The prices have gone up in the last year or so, so we usually go during a birthday month where you get money off of one meal if you are registered with their app. We made a huge mistake this year going on new years eve! They almost were not going to honor the birthday club because it was new years eve but they did. But they did not tell us till the dinner was over and giving bills to people that because it was new years eve they charge 20 percent on top of your bill! bad move , and bad call, they should have let people know that when they first arrived at the restaurant. Also i have noticed that the last 2 times we have gone to kobe that they do not put in bean sprouts with the fried rice they make anymore! And they ask you if you want ginger sauce now instead of giving it to everyone like they use to. Cutting corners and prices still go up. Also the cupcake they bring out for your birthday is really almost a mini cupcake and with one drop for frosting on the middle top of it. A pretty sad site to see. They also asked me if i wanted to wear a paper hat, in the past they would always just give it to you to put on or just bring home. So that is another spot of shortcuts and increase of prices on their menu. Go but not often.

Everything was great. Wasn’t happy that we made reservations for 7 and wasn’t sat until 745 but, wouldn’t deter me from returning.

My only complaint is that there is quite a delay between sitting and the start of your meal when the chef arrives, but alternately when the chef leaves, it seems like they want to hurry you out. We got asked many time if we wanted boxes. Before we were done eating.

My first experience with Kobe Japanese Steakhouse was in Okinawa Japan in 1975. I have went to several in the states and none compared until Kobe in Brandon Florida. It took me down memory lane. I loved everything about it

Asked the server to split a meal with my wife. After eating(ordered something we havent ordered before) we were unaware they double charged us. I spoke to 2 managers and they said they can give me $10 off. I have been going here for 3 years bi weekly to weekly. Like I'm here all the time. I will not do business here again due to this. I have never asked for a meal to be comped. Its ridiculous they would throw a consistent customer away because of one meal but so be it.

It was Christmas night. Very busy and a little bit rushed. The food had good flavor, very salty. We enjoy Hibachi. This was pretty good but not the best Hibachi we have had. The "show" was also minimal compared to other Hibachi places. There were no complaints, but also not really memorable.
