What a fabulous birthday celebration. Started with a beautiful lei....then an amazing dinner with drinks. Can’t say enough about Ko. It’s a must do while in Maui.
The best food and dining experience in Maui. Mama’s doesn’t compare to this. Amazing!!
Nice dining experience
Great deal for Kamaaina. Great food and great service.
First dinner in Maui and did not disappoint! We loved our table overlooking the pool and the beach beyond. Corinne our server was fantastic! She was helpful and took care of us very well throughout our meal.
Well there was a big party going on so wanting to think that was why the food was not good. Nothing was hot, but sad that the fish was just dry to the bone and so over done. The breading was so thick you didn’t see the fish. The pork chop was good though. The service was nice but again the large party I am thinking was just too much for the regular dining experience. Was a beautiful setting and friendly service. Just not good fish for the price you had to pay. Too bad.
It is always very good and Saturday Night was what I have come to expect
Our server Leanne recommended our drinks and dinner and we were very happy with her recommendations
It was a really good evening and we enjoyed it very much
Lovely evening and delicious meal!
Great good and awesome service
Great deal for kama aina, as long as you don't mind having the 18% tip included as part of your meal. Love the Ahi Rock -- searing your own fresh ahi -- we tend to go for appetizers and salads.
Both rib-eye and Kalbi was delicious soft and cooked the way we asked. Honey Shrimp and Oishi Sushi was also
Sarah was a great server who attended our every request and Roland was also very attentive. Overall great experience. Thank you all!
Everything was all but excellent from the welcome to the service and then the drinks and food.
If I was going to be picky I’d say my seafood pasta dish was a little too oily. The rib eye steak however was probably the best we’d ever had!
It all comes at a slightly high price compared to similar hotel restaurants I’ve eaten at with similar standards.
Memorable one was at the Mauna Kea resort on Big Island.
We had the most spectacular night at Kō! We had a great view of the adult pool with ocean behind it, which gave us a Front row seat to sunset horn blowing. The waitress and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I ordered the dinner special (mahi mahi and lobster crab cake)—it was delicious! drinks were creative and delicious. We will definitely return next time in Maui!
Great food and excellent service. As a resident of Lahaina, I still consider it worth the drive to Wailea once in a while to enjoy this excellent restaurant.
Great food, great staff, beautiful setting
Great place for dinner, spectacular photos online which makes you want to come try this place and we weren’t disappointed. If you live locally on the islands be sure to let them know and show them your ID, it will help with the bill.
We loved eating here so much for lunch that we came back the next night for dinner. My favorite was the Chicken and Mushroom Lumpia. We had it for lunch and of course, we had it at dinner too. Great cocktails too!
Such a great experience. This was a special night for us celebrating 20 years cancer free. The entire staff made me feel special. Lots of "perks" to having an anniversary, etc. here. Delicious food, outstanding presentation, and super staff.
Aloha! I'm thrilled to hear your recent Kō dining experience was nothing short of amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing us to celebrate your amazing news, congratulations on being cancer free. It will be a pleasure to welcome you back next time. Great space and beautifully presented food.
Aloha Robin and mahalo for sharing your recent five star experience with us. I'm ecstatic to hear that you loved the space and food presentation! We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Warmest aloha, Lisa Nordstrom Senior Venue Manager
Menu is not updated online and certain people in our group were disappointed that they couldn't get what they anticipated for.
Aloha Matthew and mahalo for bringing this to my attention. I apologize for the menu discrepancy and please know that we are working hard to get these updated across all platforms. Warmest aloha, Lisa Nordstrom, Senior Venue Manager
The staff was friendly. We got a beautiful dessert for our anniversary. The value of the food could have been better but it’s in a resort so that is expected.
My wife and I went to Ko on the first night of our honeymoon. The waitstaff knew it was our honeymoon and they were so sweet congratulating us and the service was excellent. I got the Lau Lau which is a traditional Hawaiian dish of mixed seafood and vegetables cooked in a Luau leaf in a garlic coconut sauce. It was phenomenal! We also got the brown butter banana bar which was to die for!
Aloha, I'm thrilled to hear your recent Kō dining experience was nothing short of amazing. I'm pleased that each dish you tried not only met but exceeded your expectations. Mahalo for choosing the Fairmont Kea Lani to help celebrate your honeymoon! It will be a pleasure to welcome you back next time. Warmest aloha, Lisa Nordstrom | Senior Venue Manager
26th Wedding Anniversary
Had a wonderful dinner just a few days earlier and decided to return - this was a mistake. The same drinks we had ordered a few days ago and were super good, were horrible this time around - had to send them back and despite their efforts, they were so so. We ordered 2 Zarzuelas - one was fine the other SUPER salty (did they salt one twice?) barely edible. Staff was nice, but the inconsistent kitchen output makes this place a no-go for us in the future unfortunately.
Have had many wonderful meals here, and definitely appreciate the care they take of the local citizenry. Service is always very hospitable, probably among the tops on Maui. The service speed was noticeably slower than normal on the most recent occasion however. Prior to the entrees arriving, we were asked if we wanted more wine (we did). Unfortunately we waited and waited, and finally got the hooch halfway through our entrees. Same deal with dessert (it was just a comp brownie for a birthday and we weren’t really hungry). Spoons cane out right away as well as check and such, but we finally left because we baked our fine more than the free dessert.
Food is good but there is a lot of competition at this level.
We had dinner here to celebrate a milestone birthday. The food was good and the service was good, but the restaurant was incredibly hot and so uncomfortable it was hard to enjoy our evening. It is open air, which is probably wonderful on some nights, but on the hot summer evenings - there should be air conditioning or fans. Even the servers were dripping sweat. It was also weirdly quiet - no music - no atmosphere. For the money spent - it should better.
Delicious and incredible food! It’s expensive but it’s worth it to treat yourself to a great meal.
The hostess was very pleasant and helpful and sat us right away. The food presentation was beautiful and so delicious. Our server set down the Ahi Rock Appetizer and started to walk away, we had to stop and ask her how we were supposed to prepare the dish and she didn't even mention that it was hot. Getting refills on water was definitely not happening. Lastly the bill was presented with an automatic gratuity added but this was never mentioned to us, luckily as I started to leave cash for the gratuity my husband noticed that it had already been added. Everything else was lovely and the food was incredible, I sent a coworker there the next night and she loved the food as well.
Mahalo for sharing your feedback with us, Michelle. We welcome all reviews - good, bad and honest - as a way to grow and improve future guest experiences. I would like to apologize for the incident you encountered with our Ahi Rock Appetizer, as this is certainly not representative of our service standards. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the food and thank you for recommending us to your coworker. Best wishes, Lisa Nordstrom
Our favorite eating spot at the Kea Lani, however, we missed the live entertainment during their Happy Hour which was our favorite "go to" place each day during our last visit at the Fairmont Kea Lani. The sushi roll is the best!! Dinner service was good, food competitively priced, my only suggestion is that the music selection should be changed to something that would provide for a more relaxing ambiance.
Please bring back the live entertainment during Happy Hour, it was a fabulous way to kick back and get a quick bite after a day spent in the sun by the pool.
We truly enjoy dining at Ko. Ko has become a staple when we are on Maui. The service is exceptional. Every dish has been excellent from their bread offering with assorted spreads, their appetizers, their delicious entrees through to the decadent desserts. Consistently a wonderful experience.
Aloha lv2dine! I'm thrilled to hear that you had such a memorable dining experience in Kō . We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Warmest aloha, Lisa Nordstrom | Senior Venue Manager
What a lovely lunch spot: lovely ambiance in a gorgeous setting, great friendly efficient service, hooray a kamaaiina discount, and delicious food! My only complaint is that it becomes very warm, and wish the restaurant provided air conditioning!
I was told by a worker while walking around the hotel, that the chief complaint is the lack of air-conditioning in the Ko Restaurant! Agreed!
As locals, we love that Ko takes care of those of us that actually live here. The staff are always AWESOME too!
Serene environment with birds landing on our table, inventive menu.
GREAT FOOD AND VALUE FOR LOCAL PEOPLE. IT'S A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LISTEN TO MUSIC BY JOEL KATZ IN THE LOBBY BAR.
We have dined here a few times recently and have had good experiences. The service has been top notch. We had the Avocado and Spicy Ahi Poke which was fresh and tasty. The calamari was good, pretty standard stuff. I had monchong prepared in Lemongrass Coconut Broth. Divine! Hubs had a fish trio special which was fish, scallops and shrimp. Good but we both liked my fish in the broth better. They always bring you a nice bread selection to start. And they have fantastic discounts for local residents. Very chill and relaxed atmosphere. Mahalo!
The service was excellent and it’s such a beautiful place to eat! Definitely worth it. I look forward to eating here again :)
