The meal was very expensive and not worth it. Our calamari was not very good as there was more breading than calamaris. My burger was excellent but we had to pay extra for fries. My husband’s ahi salad was very ordinary. We would not go back.
We really enjoyed our dinner experience - food was wonderful and a great taste of unique regional foods. Our waiter Bjorn was very attentive and helpful in selecting our dinners
Superbly fresh fish and sushi, great drinks. Service was attentive. We picked 2 different preparations of monchong and both were great. Fine dinner.
Had an excellent server who helped guide and give his input on the menu. When the food came out by the good runner they called us by our last name which was really impressive. Food was great better then other restaurants in Fairmont and other resorts we have ate at. Views weren’t as soon as some other restaurants but the food made up for it
The food was great as usual. But never in the multiple times I’ve dined at Ko have been treated with bad service. Our female server was rude, checked on us twice throughout the whole dinner & forgot that it was my sisters birthday (when the hostess and someone in our party had told her). The ambiance and delicious food made up for the bad service, but I don’t think my family and I will be dining there again.
Loved getting a “traditional” meal. The food was delicious and the servers were helpful and friendly
Wonderful atmosphere. They made us feel very special on our anniversary. Food and drinks were excellent! Overall the best restaurant experience on this Hawaiian trip. We will be back!
Very nice place.
Beautiful, sophisticated casual open air covered terrace dining. Menu was select, perfectly prepared, with delicious, innovative Asian fusion flavoring.
Excellent food, especially the daily special. Great service for us with 3 kids. Work definitely go again.
Great service and good food, but not exceptional compared to similar price level restuarants in Wailea.
Delicious food, attentive service, lovely ambience. Vacation dining with family
We have gone to Ko's for years and viewed it as one of our favorite restaurants in Maui. This year, like most years, the service was spectacular, the ambience was lovely, and some of our food choices were excellent. However, the fish main courses (none the same) were relatively tasteless. That was quite disappointing.
Appetizers took 45 min to come out! Our server kept apologizing but it didn’t make it any better, esp when other tables that came after us got their appys before us. My main course was seafood trio, which was 2 scallops, 2 overcooked shrimps & small piece of mahi mahi for $50 USD!! They did comp our appys but honestly, the food was not as good as in past years & is way overpriced.
Great service! Very accommodating.
Great location, service and food. Mimosas were expensive at $18 each for a small glass. Give them a pass.
Our favorite restaurant in wailea
We made a 2:30pm reservation for my birthday.
When we were seated they promptly told us we had to order immediately because the kitchen closes at 2:30!!!
Why would they even take our reservation for this time?
That being said, the food, service, and ambiance were very good. We just don’t like being rushed when we expected to have a leisurely afternoon .
Disappointing. At these prices, I expect more. The Kobe beef main course for $53 was ok at best. My wife and I had the fish of the day, both of which were dry. The lobster tempura were actually good.
They sell a house made lemonade for $12, and it wasn't anything special, we make them just as good ourselves.
Service brought us the appetizer and told us we would get dipping sauces, which then only showed up after we asked for them.
They also told us that we could get a free ride home in a 3 mile radius, while the folks at the valet told us they don't go 3 miles.
Had a great dinner and evening at Ko. We will be back. Thank you
‘‘Twas good. Value wasn’t really there much but the food was decent. Pork chop around $45. We asked for medium and it came out rare. Asparagus was good. Was a nice cool night in maui. We probably wouldn’t come back unless there were more decent pricing.
Always a great place to share a great meal. Nice portions well prepared and served
Amazing service and food is delicious. One of the finest Restaurants in Maui
The food is so amazing delicious!! Great presentation and Great service! Very friendly!!! Amazing cocktails! Thank you Kristy for your aloha hospitality! So welcoming!! We will go back definitely!!! Thank you KO!
The service was excellent but the food was subpar. Also the drinks were extremely sweet.
We were seated promptly. The hostess was so very nice. She moved us because it was sooooo busy and loud with holiday celebrations. Since it was my birthday and just the two of us we wanted a more romantic quiet spot and she accommodated us. The hostess stand was swamped with walk ins and take out orders but she had does everything with ease. We loved our table and our server. The food was amazing. I loved the cool bread presentation with the cool dips. My fried lobster was the BEST! My hubby had steak and lobster. He loved it. I had a yummy drink. Water service was great. I can’t say enough about how much we loved Ko. Plus we are kamaaina and we were visiting from Lahaina. We really appreciate the Kamaina discount on food and alcohol. Our server was fun and attentive. We were attending BMI music festival and he made sure we were served before the concert started. Five star service and food. Mahalo!
I was underwhelmed by the food. The ambiance was great, the service was great, but the food was just alright. The fish was over cooked, the veggies were a mixture of shredded shoe string carrots(literally what you find on a salad) and overcooked zucchini. I was expecting a bit more, out of the food due to the reviews.
Wonderful venue, good service and selection of dishes. The sushi appetizer was excellent. Only wish they had more sushi options on the dinner menu.
We always ask for Loius but was unable to get him as our waiter this time. We were very pleased with Lowe and appriciated Roland checking up on us.
We thank Ko for their Kamaina specials so even the locals can appreciate the great food.
The location is very nice, and the food was good, but the menu was limited and not really 'Plantation Inspired' or very Hawaiian. The service was disappointing. It was slow, not what I expected at a Fairmont, and after the entrees we immediately got the bill with a statement "I didn't think you were interested in desert".
We went to Ko for a birthday celebration that happened to be Thanksgiving night. The service was ok - just the basic minimum, not what I'd expect for the price and location, and it wasn't busy when we first arrived.
Most everything on the menu had some kind of sweet sauce, which doesn't appeal to me - but I knew that going in. But I chose the kale salad to start, based on the description, and was disappointed that it was very sweet! It was just an ok salad otherwise, but my partner really enjoyed her half.
My entree was delicious - the spicy lobster udon. It was the right amount of spicy, great variety of flavors and texture, and a generous amount of lobster. There was a tempura kim chee (I think?) in it that was my favorite part of the meal!
The kama'aina discount is great, but wasn't on our check until I asked about it, even though when we arrived the host had confirmed with us that we live on Maui. Overall experience was not great, and probably will not be back for a while.
Drew was one of the best waiters I have ever had. The food is delicious and a must do for dinner.
The food was okay, but not great. All hotel restaurants are expensive, but the marriott (humble kitchen) and four seasons (duo) had better food.
We are staying at the property. To begin our server was excellent and did an amazing job. To food was just ok for the money. Ribeye was marginal in cut and preparation for the money. Fish entree was a dit better but could have been served warmer and with a bit more love. Service was outstanding.
So incredible, we went twice! Yes, you heard me- TWICE in one long weekend in Maui! We originally made a reservation for our first night (celebrating my birthday) far in advance thinking there was no way we could get in on a whim. On the contrary, we were able to book a second time during the weekend for our last meal. The service was OUTSTANDING, both of our lovely servers made us so happy. The front desk gals were beautifully professional and welcoming. And the food.... sorry can’t talk, my mouth is watering. We had a little bit of everything and came back for the Sunday “lau lau” special. Unbelievable. Also, the maitais. Enough said! Can’t wait to come back!
Hannah our server was delightful- the only issue was that the macadamia nut encrusted fish was overcooked and a bit bland. My husband does not like a lot of sauce and even he suggested some sauce would liven it up. The lobster tempura was excellent, (and I shared the dipping sauces with my husband) as was the spring roll appetizer.
Nice semi-outdoor seating. It was busy but not so busy that you couldn’t have a conversation.
Love the food!
