I was so excited to eat here last night. However, I found the food not up to my expectations. The appetizers and deserts were very good. But the main courses we did not enjoy. I have had red curry in Thailand and this definitely missed the mark.
The service was not great...forgot one of our small plates and it was slow. The food made up for it. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked.
Food and service was excellent with beautiful taste and presentation. Sat on the outdoor patio, which was so pleasant! Go now!
Amazing meal from top to bottom.
Lovely venue. Great service. Terrific menu. Good energy, but not too loud. Had a variety of rolls and starters. Will go back.
I LOVE eating here. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff is outstanding. I never eat dessert at restaurants, but I make room to eat dessert there. The chef is always coming up with different items including homemade ice creams, sorbets. The presentation of food is gorgeous.
Food was tasty and different. The dining experience was unique. Service was excellent and our server - I believed her name was Alicia? Was so friendly and helpful with menu choices. Will definitely go again.
The small plates, large plates, and dessert were unique and delicious. The sushi was also good, but limited in options. Eating outside lead to a slightly noisy experience due to traffic near the restaurant, but overall the typical sound level was fairly quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the experience with a reasonable number of visits to the table throughout the visit. I intend to return in the future.
Outstanding! Used to go regularly pre-COVID, so nice to go back.
Great atmosphere. Food choice was excellent, food contained the right amount of spices. good wine selection.
The service provided was really impressive but the only negative thing about the whole dinner experience was that it took very long for each food to be served.
I want to start by saying the service was exceptional. The food… was subpar. We tried their entire sushi menu, the bo tai chanh, and pho. The only thing that was delicious and had good flavors were the bo tai chanh appetizer and hamachi roll. Most of the sushi (especially the fish) was already drenched in too much soy sauce and you could not immediately taste the freshness of the fish. Then we ended on the pho, and omygosh, the flavor was completely off. It tasted like a watered down sweet soy sauce (like sukiyaki) and was not good at all. The ox tail was burned and that flavor seeped into the soup. The only thing that was good in that dish was the wagyu and you can’t really mess that up. Overall, We we’re thankful for the service and ambiance but would not come back based on the menu. If you’re looking for good ambiance and some nice side dishes, this place is fine but if you’re looking for a fine dining experience with great food that gives you a real taste of Asian cuisine- unfortunately this place is not it.
We went for restaurant week and it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Outstanding on all counts.
Restaurant week menu was fantastic!
Excellent in every way!! Ordered from Triangle Restaurant Week menu … wow!! Everything was amazing. Definitely will come back for regular menu next time !
Great meal, great service!
Everything was amazing. A great way to celebrate our graduating senior!
This was our first visit and we were impressed. We had excellent service from several staff members, and we were so touched by a few extras they gave us to honor our anniversary. We chose the Restaurant Week menu with curated drink pairings and everything was perfect and so delicious! I can’t wait to return!
We had an awesome graduation celebration in a private room and Nick was fantastic in making sure our special dietary needs were met. The food was absolutely delicious and Ko-an also provided special cookies to our graduates :)
The food, service and cocktails were nothing short of AMAZING!!! I hope to see some of the restaurant week items on the menu soon. The charcuterie board is a must try! And I never would have imagined that the best steak I've ever had would be from an Asian restaurant and not an upscale steak house. Outstanding! You must complete your meal with the peaches and cream. Just trust the combination. Your palate will thank you.
Went for Triangle Rest week and had one dinner on reg meal and one of the special offers. Both were excellent. Dessert was very good .
Great food and all-around experience. The portions are a little small, so make sure to order an appetizer. Expect a higher price as this is a higher-end dining experience.
Our dining experience was wonderful. Our server was knowledgeable and kind. The serving assistants were attentive and the runners were gracious. Our food was absolutely delicious. My husband thought the broccolini could have used a bit of salt but was not discouraged from eating every bite. The dessert, peaches & cream, was absolutely amazing. If I had the room, I would have eaten a second!
We cannot wait to come back and hope that ko an considers doing other meal specials in the future similar to tri restaurant week. Thank you for a great meal!
Food was fantastic. The sever was great too. Lots of gluten free options.
This was our first time visiting Koan. We were previous fans of buku, and sad to see them close. This did not disappoint! Everything we had to eat was delicious and we look forward to returning soon.
Great appetizers! 4 of us had Korean Bibimbap. It was cold, rice was uncooked, and it was not worth the price.
The Pho was nothing to write home about...
All an all the value for the food we had wasn't that great-
This was our second time visiting ko•an for our Date night. We ordered a couple of old fashioneds and some small plates. The lettuce wraps, lobster buns, shaved beef and cauliflower. The lobster buns and cauliflower are our favorites. They’re *chefs kiss* amazing. I still can’t believe it’s cauliflower!
Our server Nick knew everything about the menu and really added to our wonderful experience. We can’t wait to come back.
We had a wonderful dinner from beginning to end. The restaurant is welcoming and beautiful. The food was excellent from appetizer, sushi, to the main courses. So was the ambiance and the staff. We haven't been out much, as most of us haven't, so we were very excited about going to Ko-An. It was worth the anticipation in every way. Oddly, the only negatives were the folks at the welcoming desk who seemed slightly uninterested and far less engaged than everyone else. Other than that, a wonderful dinner that we would highly recommend.
Always innovative selections and excellent service. We enjoyed trying some new Ko’an items and a few classics. The desserts are a must here! So creative!
Every dish was amazing and services was great! One of our new favorites!
Excellent in every way. Menu is a little thin as they’re just reopening from COVID restrictions. Can’t wait for full menu to return. Especially for sushi and sashimi selection.
Each dish we tried was fantastic. We especially loved the lettuce wraps and the steamed buns (small plates). Will definitely go back.
Impeccable service. Perfectly prepared food. Attention to allergens. Waiters all masked.
The service, food and ambiance were excellent. Best restaurant!
It was a Great place to try food was speedy but not rushed😊
We enjoyed our dinner. The highlight was the cauliflower starter. Large plates (Sichuan chicken and waffles; bibimbap) were good but not remarkable. Service was prompt and efficient.
Food and our server were EXCELLENT!!! We cannot wait to go back!
Fantastic food, the portions were perfect size for each description. The small plate steamed buns were our favorite. The Korean Bibimbap was the most flavorful Asian dish with the most unique ingredients. Highly recommend to take your partner here for a fancy once a month, amazing meal.
First time and wow! Service was so incredible and the food presentation was superb!! Will definitely go back to try the other dishes. Desserts are a must!
