We were there for an anniversary dinner. John was our server and he was superlative. The food was outstanding and the best we've had in Knoxville. The atmosphere was cozy and just right for a nice dinner. The menu isn't huge but everything we tried was delicious. There is something for just about everyone. The deserts were also fantastic. Thanks for a great night!
We had a group of 6 people. The consensus of the group was that appetizers (deviled eggs, wings, and pimento cheese) and side dishes (fries, brussels sprouts, and mac and cheese) were good and turned out being the highlight of the meal. 3 of the 6 main courses ribeye (2) and trout were average at best. The gumbo. shrimp and grits, and hamburger were good. The steaks were very disappointing, especially for the price. Also they did not have bloody Mary's or 7 & 7 cocktails available. While we were disappointed with the food and drinks, we enjoyed our waiter John. He was professional, fun, and efficient, which is what I would expect at this type of restaurant. We won't be heading back to Knox Mason any time soon.
It was a fabulous experience, and the staff were so friendly. The food was delicious! We drove from DC after watching a special on our local PBS channel, and couldn't have picked a better place to spend our 30th wedding anniversary. We'll definitely be back!
Great food. Service was fast, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting.
We were visiting Knoxville for my daughter to look at the University of Tennessee. Dinner was amazing! We had the egg appetizer- amazing! We also had the trout entree and the smash burger! Delicious! Service was outstanding! We will be back!
Great food, Alex gave us great service, but it as very loud. Not the best location for such a nice restaurant.
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal. We started with the Sweetwater Valley Pimento cheese which would make a meal by itself. My husband’s Smashburger was perfection and my Double Double Chicken Sandwich was juicy and crispy. Both sandwiches were served with an abundance of fries The staff was pleasant and courteous. We will return for sure.
Great place to eat - good food and service ...and enjoyed roof top bar after
It just wasn’t great. It has a great location and view but the food and service was just meh.
Our reservations were handled expertly and quickly. We had the option to sit outdoors on the very cool patio, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. The food and service were outstanding.
Love the outdoor patio! Just wish Knoxville would have a ordinance on noisy vehicles! Not your fault but it would be so much better without the loud cars and motorcycles.
The Restruant’s was absolutely exceptional. Everything from the service to the food . Very delightful meal. We would highly recommend
The service was great but the food is just not worth it. It was bland, nothing like the other amazing Appalachia style restaurants in the area. I would not recommend spending the time or money here.
Such a great night on the town. Felt crowded and fun even with tables safely spaced and attentive service. I especially loved the shrimp and grits. Looking forward to returning!
Great food, great service
Easily one of Knoxville's premier restaurants. We had a great time, enjoyed the food and the service on the coolest patio in town.
Excellent evening! Loved the balcony setting!
The food is always amazing! We always enjoy our dinners at Knox Mason. We appreciate that they follow social distancing and COVID protocols so well. John was our server and he is amazing. Only thing - our table was close to the patio door and every time it opened - it was like an arctic blast.
We have loved Knox Mason since it’s conception. Our favorite about KM are the people. Brooke was amazing and made us feel like a guest in her own home...Eric was wonderful as always...and John was another positive to the entire environment. Always a hood time a d always good food.
This place was overpriced and there was only alcohol and water for the drinks. Very few items on the menu. The chicken was very hard on the outside.
Great food, very friendly staff and always a fun night out.
Great place to eat! The service was awesome and the quality was exactly what we were expecting. Would recommend!
Our waiter (John) was excellent and very candid about menu selections (although the menu is very quaint). I ordered the Springer Mountain Half Chicken with Mac & Cheese as my side. The chicken was very flavorful while the Mac and cheese was very disappointing. If it wasn’t for the waiter, I’d probably never revisit just because IMO it’s not worth the spend.
I try to follow a vegan diet and Knox Mason was very accommodating! My custom meal was delicious! My husband loved his wedge and wings, as well. Impeccable service! My only suggestion would be to have more local craft beer options on the menu. Looking forward to our return!
We enjoyed our meal! Loved the appetizers and main dishes. The server, John, was excellent!!. We will definitely be back!
Table was ready upon arrival. Attentive service. Creative menu and delicious food. We will return!
All around great experience!
My daughter was in town and we made reservations for the porch on a 30-something degree cold Saturday night. We were seated right next to a large heater and with our jackets on, were very comfortable. We felt safe, the food and service was impeccable and in all, had a wonderful dinner. There were only about 5 tables out there and they were not full.
Very disappointed in a place that bills itself as "upscale dining." Our appetizer did not arrive until our food did. The wine menu is lack-luster. The atmosphere is not great and puts you right over a hotel lobby. Our server was terrible.
I will say our food was quite good, but there are much better steaks in Knoxville for the price ($60/head).
Always an excellent dining experience at Knox Mason. Quality food and exceptional service (hats off to Kim).
If you like eclectic farm to table food then this is the place to be. Service was good and the food fantastic. Located in the Embassy Suites downtown Knoxville with a good view and a cool vibe.
Very unique food and appetizers are especially tasty.
This was a fantastic meal with fabulous service.
It’s probably Covid, but it just was not what it has been. Love Knox
Lovely NEW YEARS EVE DINNER!!!! Excellent dining experience and the food was awesome!!!
Great service and location but food did not meet our expectations.. overpriced for portion and the scallop special was not good at all.
We were on vacation for a long weekend. Had lovely view of Knoxville, great food, excellent waitress with wonderful surroundings
The food was wonderful as usual. The staff was extremely COVID-safe as wells as attentive. The balcony overlooking Gay Street is perfect except the occasional Trolley noise. Highly recommended.
First time here and we have found a new favorite! Food was spot-on - Southern done well and our favorite kind of menu: a few “twists,” but nothing super weird. Ate outside on an unseasonably warm night with the heaters on and it was perfect! Best seat in the house overlooking Gay Street. If they have snickerdoodle whoopie pies for dessert, do NOT pass them up! One of the best desserts we have had in a long time. Highly recommend and we will make this a regular in our downtown eating rotation.
Another wonderful dining experience at Knox Mason. Our waiter was attentive and helpful with menu selections. Everything we ordered was delicious.
