All around great experience!
Always an excellent dining experience at Knox Mason. Quality food and exceptional service (hats off to Kim).
If you like eclectic farm to table food then this is the place to be. Service was good and the food fantastic. Located in the Embassy Suites downtown Knoxville with a good view and a cool vibe.
Very unique food and appetizers are especially tasty.
This was a fantastic meal with fabulous service.
It’s probably Covid, but it just was not what it has been. Love Knox
Lovely NEW YEARS EVE DINNER!!!! Excellent dining experience and the food was awesome!!!
Great service and location but food did not meet our expectations.. overpriced for portion and the scallop special was not good at all.
We were on vacation for a long weekend. Had lovely view of Knoxville, great food, excellent waitress with wonderful surroundings
The food was wonderful as usual. The staff was extremely COVID-safe as wells as attentive. The balcony overlooking Gay Street is perfect except the occasional Trolley noise. Highly recommended.
First time here and we have found a new favorite! Food was spot-on - Southern done well and our favorite kind of menu: a few “twists,” but nothing super weird. Ate outside on an unseasonably warm night with the heaters on and it was perfect! Best seat in the house overlooking Gay Street. If they have snickerdoodle whoopie pies for dessert, do NOT pass them up! One of the best desserts we have had in a long time. Highly recommend and we will make this a regular in our downtown eating rotation.
Another wonderful dining experience at Knox Mason. Our waiter was attentive and helpful with menu selections. Everything we ordered was delicious.
Everything that we ordered was amazing. Deviled eggs, Wedge salad, squash salad, half chicken with Brussel sprouts...it was all incredible. We will definitely be back!
We planned a special dinner with some friends . The food options were very limited I’m guessing due to COVID
. The drink options were ok nothing special but luckily they have the roof top bar. Overall it was nice to experience once!
The food was so fresh! Fantastic smash burgers. Service was speedy and friendly :) The ambience is so beautiful. We sat next to the window overlooking Gay Street. All the Christmas lights were amazing!
Food was amazing! The pork rinds were still sizzling as they arrived at the table. So good!!
Always a great experience! Sat on the balcony/patio with heaters and it was lovely!
This is not the same restaurant that used to be on the 100 Block. This was the first time we had been since the move and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Waitstaff were inattentive. My wife and I sat with empty drinks for 10 or 15 minutes. My cocktail was poorly mixed, and the food simply was not nearly as good as it used to be. My steak was fatty (it was a ribeye, so I’ll give a bit of a pass on this, but could have been a better cut), charred, and unseasoned. My fingerling potatoes were well cooked, but were completely unseasoned, the sweet potatoes were virtually raw. My wife’s gumbo was relatively bland. All you could taste was the beef stock. The bread that it was served with was burnt, not toasted. I will give credit to our appetizers. The wings, while not exactly my ideal flavor in wings, were tasty and perfectly cooked. My wife devoured he Mac and cheese, and loved every bite. That was the only highlight of a sadly underwhelming meal. I miss the real Knox Mason and I don’t think we’ll be back.
My husband and I brought friends for their first time there over the weekend. Everything was amazing as usual!! Friends already want to know when we’re going back!!
The food was really good and the service was even better. A very nice dining experience.
Outdoor seating was great and heaters did the job. Little noisy but its the City
We had a very enjoyable evening. The server was outstanding. I loved the wedge salad, and the pork belly was very good. The accompaniments were a little to sweet for me. I would have loved to have a lighter dessert as one of the choices, but enjoyed the coffee. All in all a pleasant experience.
We chose Knox Mason because of their adherence to COVID safety protocols. We were impressed that all staff wore masks properly and that they required patrons to wear them while walking around. The tables were nicely spread out and everything was spotless. This was our first indoor dining experience since March and we felt very safe there. The food and the service were impeccable. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Our waiter gave us great suggestions and was very attentive. We loved every minute of our date night here. We will definitely be back!
Ah, what a beautiful establishment. Love saturated the air within the entire restaurant. The magnificent hostess even paid homage to my classic rock shirt. Oh, how I desire to return to Knox Mason the coming blood moon.
Always have great service but food has been inconsistent since the move. Disappointed this go round.
This was our first visit to Knox Mason for all 4 of us. The host and server were polite and very efficient. The food exceeded our expectation! They have a nice balcony overlooking Gay Street and we would have sat there but it was a little too cool for us that evening. Instead, the host seated us at the only 4 top in the restaurant with a view of the street life. It was a nice, enjoyable evening and we will visit Knox Mason again!
Knox Mason was great! Cannot wait to go back.
Our server, John, was excellent and the food was great!
Great locations, the outdoor seating is great. Hangs over the street, yet covered and open air. Excellent views of downtown Knoxville. The food was enjoyable, but limited options, and could use a couple specials. The deviled eggs should not be missed. However, a couple of the entrees were just ok (half chicken / trout). One of the best desserts in the city though (Snickerdoodle pies). Overall, decent but not memorable.
There was a hair in our food and the food was not worth the money. The fires were the best thing we had during our meal.
My husband and I just moved here from Illinois, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised as this was our first visit! We will be back!
Great food cooked perfect. The best part they purchase from local growers and farms!
We really enjoyed our meal and the service was very pleasant. The only suggestion I have is that they use white table cloths on the tables in the evening, inside and out on the terrace/balcony. The quality on the food deserves it. We will return.
Love dining with Knox Mason - the food, the atmosphere and service are consistently the best! And if you are fortunate enough to grab a table on their outdoor (covered) patio, by all means, do it!
Excellent and looking forward to going back. Would like Happy Hour cocktails.
Loved the food and the atmosphere. Our server was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable about every entrée. Will definitely go back.
We sat outside so I cannot say the noise level was low all of the time. However, the weather was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and entertainment from activity on the street below.
We ordered the pork rinds and wings for appetizers. Both were great! We ordered steak and pork belly as entrees. They were great also. However, you need to have a stomach for some fat if you order pork belly which is not a surprise.
It was a great dinner but was not inexpensive.
We will definitely go back!
Best hotel restaurant I've eaten at in a long time, especially inside the US! Interesting, creative use of local and tasty ingredients. LOVED the gumbo- the roux was sooooo rich. We found everything just fine; we had 3 dishes and 2 were excellent. The third (a goat cheese over greens and lentils) was OK but we'd never have been able to tell it was goat cheese-- is that good or bad? For us, it was bad...it tasted more like a grain cake of some kind. And the dish was too heavy on the lentils, we thought. But again the gumbo and a trout dish were both excellent.
The restaurant is bright, well-spaced and fairly quiet; and it is kind of interesting to oversee the going-ons on the hotel lobby area. Service was fine. We also enjoyed some nice drinks, and the draft beer was 1/2 price that night, wonderful!
Excellent food and service!
I love Knox Mason. Everyone at my table had a great meal. My only suggestion is to braise the Pork Belly, then put in the high heat cooker to crisp the outside and render a little more fat. A little too gelatinous, but extremely tasty. Thanks Chef.
