Really enjoyed the evening
It was the street noise that was loud
Excellent food. Bar items are pricey and wine poor is stingy.
The food was great and the service was good I would definitely recommend it
Knox Mason was fantastic! My boyfriend and I both got the steak. We were skeptical about the price at first, but it was probably the best steak either of us had ever had. Well worth the money!! We got a side of fries, and a chocolate dessert, and they were both delicious too. I will recommend this place to anyone.
Delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and new venue.
The manager on duty was rude, combative and disrespectful. Our server was very good but the manager ruined the entire experience for us.
Excellent cocktails upon request- great service- amazing, fresh, well prepared dishes, and a great Downtown view!
Knox Mason’s change in location seemed to change the business as a whole. The once charming atmosphere, engaged staff, and delicious food was all just sub-par. We ordered an appetizer, two salads, and the burger and fries- all were under seasoned and underwhelming. We’re glad we gave it a try and hope that things improve.
Knox Mason is one of my two favorite restaurants in Knoxville. They always create the most flawless experience with the most amazing food!
Had a great time out on the terrace. Everything went smooth
My 5th visit but my first after the lockdown. Disappointed with my catfish sandwich dish. Lousy, it flakes out, it crumbles it felt and taste like I am dining in a highway diner :( . I hope this is just a hiccup and that things wilk get better.
Delicious food! Good atmosphere. Best French fries!!!
I should have listened to the other reviews I read! They are all right. Food and environment was subpar. Knox Mason used to be a local favorite, but now it is just another cheap hotel restaurant. No charm and in a very loud, open environment. Feels cold and sterile. View is pretty, but obstructed from most tables. Menu is very small and not diverse at all. Our food was flavorless and not as good as before. Overpriced for the quality of the experience. I’d recommend going somewhere else for sure, probably market square, if you are looking for decent food.
What a great experience! The food was delicious and was very fresh and season appropriate. Small menu, but everything looked delicious. We sat on the terrace which was wonderful, because we could enjoy the fresh air and nice weather while also being under a cover. Definitely recommend Knox Mason for a new and fun dining experience.
Limited menu but a decent variety...old favorites with a spin. More of a small plate contemporary feel with farm to plate offerings. A good change up inside the Embassy Suites. A bit more of a casual feel but a nice vibe. Food and Service were solid.
Was a quiet evening and lovely night out. Second time to the new location. Not the same quaint space but still great staff. Me i not a diverse but that may change with the seasons etc. not been too long since our last visit. Cocktails were very good. Lovely evening in light of the timing with current events. But wanted to support the restaurant and staff.
I was disappointed in our recent experience. We came to celebrate a friends birthday. Staff was extremely friendly, I want to make note of that. And beautiful location in Embassy Suites which is a gorgeous hotel. We ordered a couple of appetizers & a drink or 2 each. (Wine pours are small. One of the servers explained that their small pours results in getting 5 glasses out of a bottle rather than other restaurants’ 4.) Our bill was $175. We had planned to order dinner but apps & drinks took a long time. We ended up going to CJs tacos across the mezzanine. This was the second time I’ve been to Knox Mason. First time was in the old location-food was delicious & had a great experience. Sad to have had a negative one this time.
Very good food, very good and attentive service. Somewhat limited menu, fewer selections than some nearby locations, but overall a very good experience. Downtown can be pricey, as was this.
Always a good time at Knox mason but looking forward to seeing a new seasonal menu . A farm to table restaurant should always have a revolving menu. Service as usual was stellar!! From front liner down to server. Keep it up!
We had a great meal, excellent service, very interesting menu...great prelude to night at theater..
The food was ok not fabulous. We were expecting better. Were also expecting a better beer list. The fries were really good.
Great place, great food, great service. Will come back!!
Knox Mason came highly recommended, but honestly I didn't find the food that amazing. The drink portion size for the price was ridiculous. Martini ($11) and also chardonnay ($14) pour were both very small for the price. Our server was attentive and we enjoyed the ambiance. We won't be back, however.
Seated quickly on a Fri night with two large local concerts in town (OpenTable was a plus). Service was exceptional, presentation and quality of food was excellent and creative. New location lacks the charm of the old spot, but that’s comparing apples to oranges. The new spot is open and fresh.
Everything was wonderful for our dinner. Great apps and all 4 entrees were awesome.
I would recommend for a couple of drinks and a small plate before a show. I had shrimp and grits, and the food was good, but my grits were overdone, I think, and had the consistency of mashed potatoes (I don't know if this is how they're supposed to be done, but they didn't really 'feel' right to me), and there was too much sauce. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. I know it's sort of the thing to make restaurants noisy but this one was kind of over the top, noise-level-wise. It was hard to have a conversation, it was so loud.
Girls night birthday celebration
Nice atmosphere, prompt service, great wait staff, excellent food.
Parking was difficult and required quite a walk once we found a garage with vacancy. Knox Mason wasn't well marked once you get into the Embassy Suites hotel. Food was farm/table fresh and pretty good, but not spectacular. Overall our bill was 120.00 for two people. We could get just as good fare with a lot less hassle staying out West.
Pre-Symphony on Friday night. Crowded. Appreciate the reservation. Crowd in good mood. Food good. Good service. Wish they had some salmon on the menu. And wish the wine pours were more generous.
The chicken and gumbo were great, as were the banana pudding and chocolate desserts. The Brussels sprouts left a bit to be desired. We will be back, however.
The chicken in my wife’s gumbo was full of grizzle. Mine was perfect
Great food and service.
Excellent meal and beautiful restaurant. Loved the fall salad and deviled eggs. Could add a few more wines by the bottle to the selection. Lovely meal.
Valentines Dinner menu was amazing-the banana pudding is unforgettable
The food and the ambiance was absolutely amazing. Their sister restaurant, Emilia, is absolutely AMAZING. Because they are held to the same standard I was really disappointed when my boyfriend was brought the wrong drink. Our server was not the one who brought us our drinks. We told the person who brought our drinks that it was the wrong one and what we ordered. Unfortunately after that his drink never came. I had to flag down our server in order to ask her what was going on. By the time his drink finally got to the table we had finished our appetizer and 35 minutes had passed since we sat down and ordered. Everything else was wonderful but to be honest, waiting that long on our first drink is a real deal breaker for us.
Everything was incredible. The details made the atmosphere. The pork belly was the best, most cohesive plate of food I’ve had in years. Absolutely amazing!
Great food as always.
