Knotty Deck was great. But, OpenTable reservation system did not work as expected. Although we reserved through OpenTable, there was no record of our reservation when we arrived at Knotty Deck. Knotty Deck staffed explained that OpenTable does not communicate with them, so any reservation made through OpenTable is not received by Knotty Deck. Suggest this issue is addressed to avoid future confusion and unnecessary delays.

We placed a reservation through open table and the restaurant said they had no idea people would put reservations down on mew years eve. They said they are under staffed and the kitchen is paused and would be a 45 min wait. They didn’t have a table available out side available for us. We waited the 45 min and still hadn’t received our drinks. I asked for another update and he went through the same script as when I first got there explaining the kitchen is still paused and it would be 45 min. He still hadn’t even brought us our wine so we went to estancia Brazilian steakhouse and had an amazing time there.

Good quality food with a lovely ambiance. The burgers and tortilla soup are excellent. The drinks were great. Our server, Drew, was on top of everything and promoted the food well. The patio vibe was good, and the music was on point during our time there.

The Renaissance Hotel has truly gone downhill. The restaurant was not kept up, and there was not enough staff. Our lunch experience took 2 hours due to poor service. The overall appearance was not tidy, and we will not be going back. Far below Marriott quality. We are Gold members so, we know the set expectation of this company and the management is obviously far below it.

Waited forever and a half to get a menu book, which was missing the dinner menu, so had to wait even longer for someone to come to the table to let them know, then wait for them to come back. Waiter put my drink down and didn’t even look in my direction, as he was busy chatting it up with the table next to me. Mac and cheese, award winning where? huge chunks of salty bacon, uninspired boxed shells and unseasoned cheese. Tortilla soup was okay. Just okay. Ribeye was lukewarm, but good. I will not be back, ever.

This was by far the worst experience with a restaurant I’ve had in a long time. We reserved a table at 11:45 and arrived to find them still cleaning the floors and were told that they would not be opening until 12 o’clock. After checking again at 12, they were still not open and there was no sense of urgency in getting us into the restaurant. 12:15 rolls around and we are still not able to enter the restaurant but noticed a large party of 12 people just walk through the wet floor at the opening of the restaurant and seat themselves. We went to the host stand which was unattended and waited for a staff member to seat us and none arrived. We left and went to another restaurant. We will not be back.

The menu and food were excellent. Not buffet but to order. Strangely empty for 10:30 on a Sunday for brunch, but that was just fine with us. The deck is supposed to be nice, but it was a bit chilly and windy that morning, so I can't really speak to it. Definitely going back soon as there are a bunch of other items on the menu that I'd like to try.

Have been staying in the hotel and dining here for over 10 years. This time it seemed lost in time; we tried it on four different occasions. If it was not in the hotel and therefore convenient we would most likely not frequent it.

The Ambience was great we were in the private room we had a special menu we had chef created beet salad (not pictured) and a tomato bique soup (not pictured) as well. The desert was a little dry but edible. The Food was absolutely delicious and the candle lit set up with the rose made the evening special. There was music playing in the other room but didn't over shadow the mood at all. We will definitely be back for more .

Having a meal at a hotel is always chancy but that's what life is about. The Knotty Deck was an almost bullseye. Waitress was very good. Drinks were good, the bar offered a vesper (the original Bond martini) but I felt like I caught them off guard when I ordered it. I know that's a pet peeve of some bartenders, i.e. people ordering exotic drinks, but don't offer a drink you feel uptight about. FYI It's not that difficult a drink to make Menu is nice, good choices but here's the rub food was served tepid and not to my Valentine's request way to make a guy good bad. I had the feeling that if we had salad and burger things would have been good. But I question the kitchens abilities to produce the fine dining choices on offer. If you're offering a pricey special Valentine's meal you have to execute.

Without a doubt best food we've had since moving to the Austin area. We happened to come in on a night that was quite slow, which probably helped, but the server was fantastic, clearly experienced. We wanted to enjoy a drink before ordering our meal, and he told us that when we picked up our menus that was his signal we were ready. I loved that he did that, because I hate having servers hovering around constantly or taking too long to come back. The food was amazing! We had the fried brie appetizer, burger with fries, and pasta. I definitely recommend all three. We will be back!

Their Mac & cheese is one of the best. REALLY. Their fish tacos are one of the worst Their Garden pasta is very good Server was grouchy, but manager made up for the lousiest stale shell fish tacos we had, plus one of the mac & cheese dishes we ordered (3) was to be with no bacon, instead all 3 were served with bacon.

We arrived for our reservation, which was made a few days prior, and were anticipating a great meal outside on the deck. Instead, we were immediately told that their menu had been changed from what had been payed online when I made the reservation, the night before, due to an anima convention being hosted at the hotel. Now the menu was full of Mac and cheese and hot dogs. This was incredibly disappointing as we were hoping for an adult menu and not something my five year.old would eat.

It was a lovely Thanksgiving Day buffet. The prime rib was superb. Loved the mashed potatoes. The cranberries were delicious. Best pumpkin pie.

It was alright, but certainly didn't need reservations. It was disappointing to have TVs everywhere in a sports bar atmosphere when we expected a nice, upscale restaurant. The food was good and the service was as well, but we'll pick someplace else for that upscale dinner next time.

The Knotty Deck and Bar sits in a gorgeous location. The outdoor patio was stunning. The hotel and restaurant looked very upscale. The food looked amazing but there wasn't anything special about the taste. I ordered Wildberry pancakes with a prickly pear margarita butter and the Chilaquiles. I would eat here for dinner if I was staying at the hotel, but would not go out of my way to visit this place or eat breakfast there again.

This was a disappointing experience. We arrived on time and there was no hostess. The sign said Please be Seated, so we chose a table. We waited almost 10 minutes before anyone came near our table. Someone brought us water, but didn't say a word to us. Then we never saw another server again. After about 20 minutes, we left

This was my second time eating at this restaurant. During both visits Adrian was my waiter. He was very helpful with suggestions from the menu and he followed up with me to make sure my experience was awesome. I will return to this restaurant the next time that I’m in the area.

I would recommend this place for drinks and the view outside the patio. The food lacked flavor and did not taste fresh. We also came after a big group of people dining so they had a separate menu to accommodate the people dining in after that large party but still, the fish and brisket tacos tasted so bland and the flour tortilla was not fresh tasting anymore. It was $15 for 3 mini tacos with little cheese on top and pickled veggies. Servers were attentive though, that’s a plus! Oh, and the drinks were good.

We made reservations for a Friday night at 7:15pm only to show up and there was a sign saying seat yourself. So we sat down and waited for the busboy to clean our table. After reviewing the skimpy menu we got up and left as it was obvious this was not a 4 star restaurant. This is a bar that serves food. Not a sit down restaurant you may want to take a date to on a Friday evening.

I book a reservation to celebrate Father's Day with my husband and was eager to enjoy a restaurant that was rated as the top 20 Best Restaurants for breakfast. There were only two tables with guests in this large restaurant. The ambiance was excellent. But the Eggs Benedict was just average, nothing to write home about. Our coffee was $4 a cup which tasted like basic drip coffee. Overall, the food was average set to an incredible atmosphere lending itself to being quite pricey for the taste. Wouldn't repeat the experience, unfortunately.

No one in the restaurant should have been a clue. Food was mediocre at best. My wife felt terrible upon leaving restaurant. We will NEVER do back there. Even service was poor, server almost forgot to bring water. For place being almost empty, service was slow.

Went during Valentine's, and the food took forever to come out, however it was really good. This Time, the food came out quick, however it was just average in taste. So I guess it is hit or miss with this place .
