   We were excited about this place, but left very underwhelmed. Food was ok, edible but nothing special- the menu left out some key information for some dishes. Drinks were good, but they were out of two of the ones we wanted to try. Service was good, but the atmosphere was confused. Light colors and wood on a rooftop felt kind of Mediterranean vibes, but the food was high end sports bar and the music was 2010s club vibes. Overall, 2 stars- would not return or recommend.

   This is the last time we will ever go to Knoops! They did not honor our reservation. The drinks were horrible. Out of too many drink and food items. There are many other options in downtown GR, don't waste your time at Knoops.

   Our group had a great time at Knoop. We only went for drinks so can’t speak to the food. The atmosphere was fun. A little loud but made it a fun vibe. It was rainy so we couldn’t sot outside but they accommodated us inside just fine. Friendly staff. Will go again!

   The brunch was a miss...the food was cold and disappointing and service for drinks was slow. Our waitress however was wonderful!

    I had a reservation but when we got there we were told the kitchen was closed due to an upcoming event. Also out of several ingredients for drinks so they were unavailable.

    I made my reservation for outside for my friends birthday. It’s what she specifically wanted. But when we arrived we were told outside was unavailable because it wasn’t open yet. But it was open and there was people at every table. We specifically went for the rooftop balcony. I could have sat inside at literally any other restaurant

    Loved the knoop experience. Unfortunately kitchen is closed on Mondays; however we were able to bring in our own snacks to accompany our delicious craft cocktails. Will do again!

    No alcohol in the expensive drinks, cost on the menu was not matching with the cost on the receipt. Any part they were charging more, food menu, so few options very uncomfortable furniture.

    Wonderful experience in every way. The Matchmaker cocktail would be worth a return on its own. Can’t wait to return to experience everything outside.

    There was no food available for our 8pm reservation. They said they were “sold out of everything”. If you are thinking of eating there maybe call ahead to make sure they still have food on a weekend.

    Knoop is one of the best places to go in GR! The food (especially the Korean Fried Chicken Bao) is phenomenal, the ambiance is so relaxed, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend, especially for a romantic date night!

    Great drinks, great service, great atmosphere. The let down is the choice of furniture. Tiny tables in a shared plate restaurant don’t work. Also seating that is a cushiony seat 12 inches below the table or a chair 4 inches above the table are impractical and uncomfortable.

    My family and I had a great time at Knoop. I had some family members come over from East Lansing, and I was looking for a nice welcoming place to sit and talk. Luckily I was recommended by a friend here and I had made a reservation that same day and we went for some drinks. I wish we had tried some of the food, but will do that next time for sure! We had a good experience, the staff were very helpful and friendly. It wasn’t too loud which was great and it wasn’t too crowded either.

    We had reservations and had even gotten a confirmation text but the restaurant was closed because of the storm. I was the one to call to double check. No one from the restaurant called to inform me that they were closed. There were several other restaurants downtown that were open. It would have been nice if someone had called.     Always the best service at Knoop! The staff was wonderful to everyone in our group and helped us celebrate my mom's birthday. The bartenders make deliciously crafted cocktails that are always picture-perfect. Highly recommend!

    Place was pretty dead when we arrived, made a reservation because I had a few good experiences here when it first opened. This time was significantly different. We tried quite a few food selections: wagyu sliders, poutine, truffle terrines, bao buns, and a pretzel. They were all very bland or flavor combos that just didn’t work, it was so bad and disappointing. Drinks were okay, mine was extremely bitter but I was able to get it down. Service was decent. Atmosphere was ok, at one point the music switched to hip hop and was really loud which was fine but pretty abrupt and not the vibe. Overall - I don’t recommend this place for food, maybe for drinks during the day when you can see the nice view. This place has really gone down hill, but again we are still in a pandemic and it has affected many restaurants so I understand. I will say this place was once very good and the food was great, not so much anymore. I hope they can turn it around!
