This review is for their afternoon tea service. Let me start by saying that the service was excellent, we had very attentive waiters. The tea I had was also good. While there wasn’t really anything wrong with the food, for the price and reputation of the restaurant I expected dishes that were amazing. But overall it felt like food I could get at any tea place and for more reasonable prices. Overall I don’t think it is a good value. I also felt that the sandwhich portion was too small, I left still hungry.

Very disappointing. I recently went to Nashville and had two nights of incredible food. Meals I’ll be remembering and talking about for a long time. Neither were Michelin starred. while I’ve eaten incredible meals all over the world, I’ve never eaten in a Michelin star establishment. I was excited! Thinking I’d be topping my Nashville experience. Not so. The food was very average. Pretty, but dull. Even the menu was dull. I can make butternut squash soup this good. And every restaurant serves it. The service was awkward. Not five star. I certainly won’t be giving any credence to Michelin stars.

This is the 15th Michelin restaurant we have tried. Love how Chef and his wife came to talk to each table, you feel special and how they care about each guest there. Not only that, andin the end, chef came to each table to ask which dish is our favorite. This attitude of willing to hear feedback in person, will make them stay in high standard.

Beautiful environment! Great wine pairing! Great service! Change utensils for every dish. We really had a great night.
(French is not our type of foods, so I can’t comment on it.)

This is now my #1 French restaurant in SoCal!

Overall good experience. Got sat outside. Requested inside at time of reservation if it was possible. Wasn’t confirmed so it’s ok.

Got sat down quick and staff was courteous and very attentive.

Drinks were good. Can’t remember but we had the passion fruit one and the shiso/ume drink.

Food was good. Had the bread, spiny lobster appetizer, duck, and the halibut.

Lobster was pretty good. If I had a choice I would just go with soy sauce and wasabi.

Halibut was mild and flaky. Very good if you like flaky, mild fish.

Duck was good also. Breast meat was nicely cooked med/rarish. And there was another portion which was probably confit.

Only gripe although minor would be the appetizer came out before the bread.

Celebrated my sister's birthday with lunch. The service was excellent, the food was delish and the ambiance was lovely. The staff was very attentive. We each opted for a different entree, and all of us really enjoyed what we ordered. It is pricey for lunch, but worth it.

Staff is not masked. Employee did not wash hands after using restroom. Waiter was overly attentive to the point of disruption. Pace of the courses was extremely slow! For a 5 course meal, it took 3 hours to get through all of them! 14 course dinners take 3 hours, not a 5 course.

The service was excellent with the owner coming out at the beginning to say hi and the chef coming out at the end. The wine pairing was decent but we didn’t even drink the last one which was a dessert wine since it has hints of cognac in there.

Out of the five dishes, the first and third were the best. The first dish was a fish crudo in a beautiful purple palette. There were sliced radish in there and pomegranate seeds. The third dish was the lobster, which was cooked to perfection.

The second dish of I remember was persimmon on top of mashed potatoes. The fourth dish was some kind of gnocchi. The fifth dish was a variety of pork. All were ehhh.

Our bill came out to be 443 a person including wine pairing. I thought for the price, the food should have been a little more elevated.

The place is bustling again today at lunch time and full of energy. Thanks to the talented kitchen and the entire service team. Chef Tony has a commanding presence! The lunch pre-fix is a steal and all the dishes on the menu are so luxurious in flavors. Very nice wine selections!

Went for a lunch because we were excited to try out a Michelin Star restaurant.

The decor was lovely, as was the plate ware, but I was a bit confused by the service at what was supposed to be a fine dining experience.

Our server, N, missed on quite a few steps of service.
1. Didn't offer sugar with our iced tea.
2. Didn't offer refills on our iced tea.
3. Didn't check in with us after our being served food.
4. Didn't course our meals properly -- we ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for appetizers.
5. Didn't tend to our table after somebody got up to leave.
6. Walked right by our table when were trying to pay in order to grab a check from a table that had left, and proceeded to gossip with a coworker about the tip, before coming back to our table.

Fortunately, the many backwaiters and even the hostess was there to help us out when we needed it, but our server's subpar/slow service really hampered our experience.

Wonderful dining experience! Entire staff (especially Celeste) was lovely and food was delicious. I'm grateful to the chef for taking my allergies into consideration. My lobster club was divine and I look forward to dining here again soon.

If you want a evening that is fun and kind of funny, this is your spot. Unless, of course, you take the bougie meal seriously. The food is good, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely not a Michelin Star. I have had fine dining that was worth that rating, but this was not it. The duck was too gamey in taste. Worse yet was the presentation. It was smooched into a log shape. It was a dark log that looked like, well you can guess. The halibut was delicate and nice. The bread and olives were a winner. Our apple dessert defies explanation. It was very yummy, though. If you have money to spare give it a shot. Otherwise, go somewhere you really like.

We went to Knife Pleat to celebrate our anniversary. It was wonderful. Enjoyed the ambiance. We were very well taken care of by staff, and the food was marvelous. I highly recommend it.

Nice first dinner here after they got their Michelin star. Food and ambience were outstanding, though we definitely had a few service faux paux that were a bit surprising — too fast arrival of starters, no bread for quite a while despite reminder, cleaning silverware clumsily, mixed message on birthday desert (said anniversary despite the cute birthday card)l etc. We enjoyed the outdoor dining terrace a lot. We’ll be back but hope they improve on the service details.

The food was good, ambience and service were very good, but overall the experience was just mediocre for us. We went because it received a Michelin star, and while the food was fine, it wasn’t particularly different or memorable. We did ask for some adjustments to the menu items due to dietary restrictions (gluten free) so that may have been a factor in our experience. Overall, however, we did not think it was worth the $200+ price tag. We went on a Tuesday evening and did not have the fixed-price menu, which is probably more memorable (and much more expensive).

Excellent food but the service was sub par for a Michelin experience. Waitress ignored our table (we had to rudely raise a hand/lean out to get her attention despite being in the middle of the restaurant), we had to ask if there were specials, got the cocktail order wrong, our water cups were often empty, and she didn’t tell us the kitchen was closing for lunch.

The foods were made with quality ingredients, well seasoned & expertly executed. They were beautifully plated & portions were perfect without fluff.

The results were: perfectly dressed, bright barley beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly, served with the creamiest sweet potatoes & roasted fennel. I’m not much into sweets but love their desserts every time.

Great wine list with a small half bottle selections & interesting wine by the glass options.

The service was attentive. The somm was knowledgeable with great knowledge.

We’re looking forward to experiencing their Friday pre-fix dinner & the optional wine pairings, which look exciting.
