We were seating pretty quickly for my birthday dinner - our server was attentive and charming. Sadly the food was disappointing - considering the reputation the K&F has. The crab meat cocktail was not chilled - in fact it was room temperature. After receiving the wrong entree - I was left to dine alone while my companion waited for his redo. Once it arrived, (soft shell crabs) it was almost inedible. The mix of coconut milk and pickled veggies created a pool of vinegar - that greasy over fried crabs sat upon. He tried to eat it - but just couldn’t. The server was understanding and removed it from our bill ... so basically we shared my entree. We skipped dessert (even tho the server offered to comp it) and headed back to our hotel. I’m sure K&F are worthy of their history - this could have simply been a comedy of errors, which unfortunately happens. Just said it happened on such a special occasion.

I have dined at this restaurant on many occasions. We selected it to celebrate Father's Day with our family. The waitress was less than attentive. When my dad ordered the pork chops, he said "plain". He meant he didn't want seasonings on it. The waitress interpreted that as no stewed apples and no sweet potatoes, which were to be on the side. (Why didn't she just ask him what he meant?) The pork chops alone were dry. When questioned, the waitress brought out the side dishes 15 minutes after serving the meal, so my dad refused it since we were all finished. My mom ordered the filet mignon. It was overcooked and dry. Very disappointing. My salmon dish was acceptable but no rave reviews. The noise in the place was unbearable. There were two small children at the next table that screamed through the entire meal. The parents should have taken them outside instead of trying to "shush" them so they could eat. I couldn't wait to leave as my head was pounding. The noise was not totally the fault of the restaurant, but I'm not planning to return there.
